We had the most fantastic experience exploring El Retiro Park with Andrei. From the very beginning, he made sure we felt completely comfortable and safe handling the equipment, giving us a refresher on how to ride before we set off. Retiro Park is massive, and riding through the gorgeous tree-lined paths, around the grand lake, and past the stunning Crystal Palace on a Segway was both so much fun! Andrei’s knowledge of the park’s history and local legends made the tour truly special. He balanced a smooth, relaxed pace with plenty of great stops for photos (can’t wait to receive them) and fascinating stories that you’d completely miss on your own. If you're visiting Madrid, do yourself a favor and book this tour—and if you're lucky enough to get Andrei as your guide, you are in for a treat! Highly, highly recommended!

Itinerary
This stop is made in the Plaza del Comercio, where three squares converge; Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Santa Cruz and the Plaza del Comercio itself where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is located, the former prison of the aristocracy. There our guide will tell us the history of La Plaza Mayor and how from being a suburb of Madrid it becomes the main square of the capital.
In the Plaza de Ramales there was the church of San Jua, belonging to the order of Santiago. This was demolished to convert the space into a plaza by Jose Bonaparte, among the rubble it is thought that the remains of Velazquez are found.
We will walk along a narrow street to discover a viewpoint that will amaze us with its views, a space from where we can observe from a special point the entire historical-artistic complex that represents the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. Awesome.
At the viewpoint we will have the privilege of observing this building that is linked to the Royal Palace through the Plaza de la Armería, which serves for the representation of different official acts and events. This cathedral, which took 110 years to build, is oriented from North to South instead of East to West like most Christian temples. We will tell you their secrets
Splendid square that houses the true flavor of the Madrid of the Austrian monarchy. In it we find buildings such as the Torre de los Lujanes or the Casa de Cisneros. The old Madrid City Hall was located in this square, now in the Cibeles Palace.
On our way back we will border La Puerta del Sol, the center of Madrid and Spain. This square is located the Post Office Building, where the tower with the clock is located that every year offers us the chimes of New Year's Eve.

Didn’t really see that much despite it being 2 hours
If it’s your first time take a few minutes to familiarize turns. Backing up etc .. it was my first time and had to maneuver and turn twice for police car and it was a little tricky , fell on one and one foot got lodged between the wheel and was quite the time getting up 😱 other than that it was excellent , just brushed up and kept going Guide was very informative and made several stops along the way .
We had a fantastic time with our guide Andres. You see so much of the city and it was a full 2 hours. It was split into two parts - the historic city then retiro park. I would highly recommend it and it’s was excellent value for money. Thank you Andres!

This was an awesome way to view the Historic Center area and the Retiro Park (Parque del Buen Retiro). Our guide was fabulous / thank you Andrés! So full of history and fun facts and we enjoyed his family experiences he shared related to WW II and Franco era.

Had a lot of fun! The King was in the city which restricted our tour however, our guide did a great job making the best of it. We had a great time and nobody had an issue even though it was our first time. We had so much fun that we’re going to do another Segway tour at our next stop

Our family of 4 took this Segway tour. What a fresh pace to travel! Being on a Segway makes it much more relaxing in a way. Due to the old and narrow streets, the location was not easy to find if you only rely on GPS, which we did. We felt very safe on the streets with the Segways and with our guide. I highly recommend it!

Wonderful experience! We showed up early and were fortunate that our guide was able to take us at that time. The tour through the park and through the Old City was beautiful and the history was very interesting. I was a bit concerned about navigating with the Segway as I'm not an experienced rider, but was able to get the hang of it within a few minutes. Highly recommended!

Enjoyable way to see a lot in Madrid. We were short on time as we were only here for the afternoon, so this was a great way to see a lot of the city and the park. Our tour guide was great, stopping to tell us more about the area that we were seeing. He even took pictures of us and emailed them to us right after the Tour. Highly recommend!

The Segways were easy to learn and control. We did the 2 hour tour which included parts of the historic district and El Retiro Park. Andrei gave us interesting highlights along the way, plus made sure we were safely escorted through traffic.

Jaime was a great tour guide, I had experienced Segway before in Chicago. The only inconvenience was that we had to go on the actual streets between cars and people and o think that was very dangerous. Beatles that we had a blast !
Raphael did an outstanding job as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on Spanish history and clearly explained what all the buildings were on the tour right through the center of Madrid. Retiro Park is VERY big so seeing it on the Segway saved us A LOT of time! Highly recommend this tour!
We were a little worried at first about how to control the Segway, but the guide taught us everything patiently and clearly, which helped us feel comfortable right away. We got to do some great sightseeing, and the tour itself was very informative and genuinely interesting. There was plenty of background shared about the history, landmarks, and statues we passed, making the whole experience even richer. It’s such a fun and unique way to explore the city, and we honestly wouldn’t mind doing it again on different routes. Huge thanks to our guide Jamie for making it both safe and enjoyable. After a brief check we could ride the segwayd, we did 90 minutes tour of Retiro park with Rafael. Fun way you see city with knowlegable guide. Worth the money.
We had the best time today on the segway tour! The segways were easy to operate after some helpful instruction at the start and the tour very informative of the beautiful city of Madrid. A unique way to see the main city centre sights and we’d highly recommend it.
This is probably the most amazing way to see Madrid and to experience its sights and sounds while learning a new skill. The segways are more fun than you’d imagine and easy to operate, and Cristina WAS THE MOST AMAZING GUIDE. That lady deserved the tip we tried to give her but she politely declined. She was knowable and allowed me to understand so many nuances about Madrid that I feel in love with the city and the people all over again. I would do this again if I could do it with her!

Rosa was a great guide & did a wonderful job of showing us the park. We didn't appreciate that we'd have to go around the busy streets of Madrid, which was rather nerve racking as none of our party had ever been on Segways before.
There are surprisingly many Segway tours in Madrid but we are glad we chose this one. We have done many Segway tours in other places. These Segways were well maintained and fun to use. Our guide Cristina was amazing and we had a fantastic time. We covered the main sights and got an overview of the history and geography of Madrid. Also, many local tips for food and drink or other activities.
We had so much fun exploring the city on the Segways. Navigating the main busy main roads was a bit scary but exhilarating at the same time. Cristina was a great guide and we were lucky enough to end up with a private tour with her as there were no other people booked at the same time. Would highly recommend this as an alternative option for seeing the main sights if you’re short on time. If you’re nervous about the Segways, don’t be - they’re pretty easy to control once you get the hang of it. Got some great tips on places for food too… thanks Cristina 😊
A great experience to see Madrid with a knowledgeable tour guide. Christina knew the area well and how to navigate the busy roads of Madrid. We saw some excellent gardens and parks, as well as some historic monuments.

Excellent tour! We opted for a 2 hour tour with 1 hour in the park and another hour in the historic center. Our guide Christina was professional, knowledgeable and fun. Segways were top notch, easy to use even for a novice.
Great fun had by all on our Segway tour. Christina was fun and funny and so knowledgeable! She quickly understood how our family liked to see and learn about things and customized our tour perfectly with a great sense of humour and fun facts and stories. Highly recommend Christina!! And the cherry on the cake were all her recommendations afterwards for dinners and drinks and BRUTAL Bar was an all around experience!!

Aloha, We absolutely enjoyed our Segway tour in Madrid. Esther was an excellent guide and she was very knowledgeable about the places we visited as well as the history of Madrid. We were able to see all of El Retiro Park in an hour which is amazing because it’s so big. We also visited the city center which included the view and history of the Royal Palace of Madrid and the Cathedral de la Almudena. When in Madrid you can’t go wrong with this amazing tour. Our guide was great, location was easy to find, equipment worked well and tutorial was easy to understand. The tour through the historical part was fantastic. We didn’t do any of the tour of the newer section because we were stuck in traffic for 45 minutes on the hot roads, directly in the sun and breathing car fumes. Would recommend the historical part would definitely not recommend the other.
