I had such a wonderful experience on this tour! It was the perfect combination of exploring the beautiful city of Segovia and enjoying a lovely winery visit. The scenery was stunning, the wine tasting was a highlight, and the entire experience was both relaxing and interesting. It was a fantastic way to spend the day outside Madrid, and I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!

Itinerary
First. The Roman Aqueduct. A work from 2000 years ago that still stands as the first day. We are happy if a visitor tells us he does not have a concrete image of what he is going to find. He is the one to enjoy more in the tour. It allows us to act as if we were like David Copperfield making our visitors to have an impresion that maybe they will never forget in the rest of their lives.
We consider the building of the Aqueduct 2000 years ago a more impresive work that what man did in 1969 getting to the Moon. We try to make our visitors see how the ancient inhabitants of that area would feel when they saw that the Romans were building that authentic jewel.
And you get into this town crossing those arches and meet a town out of a dream. Much of it dedicated to being visited on foot in which each stone oozes history. Spain and Segovia are the unrepeatable consequence of their peculiar history, with influences of all those who passed through these lands. Ancient Iberians, Romans, Visigoths, Arabs, Jews, French. They all left their mark there. And we, Spaniards are very proud about it.
After having visited the Aqueduct you might think that there is nothing more to see but when you come across the Cathedral you find it unique. You see it during the day, at night, on the outside, inside. And no matter how you look at, you fall in love with it.
But there is even more. There is an amazing castle, the Alcazar. It is so formidable that Walt Disney himself was inspired to design the Castle that appears in Snow White and 7 Dwarfs. In few words a fairy tale Castle.
Well. We see all that after having visited a fantastic winery in an area that is considered has some of the best wines of Spain. There we will taste its wines. Then we have lunch. We have the challenge that the winery and lunch have to be at the same level as Segovia. (Lunch 25 euros additional aprox)
Wine will also be with us during our visit to Segovia. We strongly believe that everything is much nicer with a glass of wine in hand.
Why should you come with us to this tour? Because of Segovia? The winery? Wines? Lunch? A combination of all that. One thing we know is that we are going to make our best to make you have an unforgettable experience. That is what we have been doing for years and that is what we are going to be doing in our next tour. Come with us.

Was really a great day exploring Segovia and enjoying a lovely wine pairing . Ignacio was gracious and really was passionate about teaching us the history of the region. Ride was comfortable and smooth to the sites. Ignacio even took pictures for us. Please send them if you’re reading this🤗 Wonderful day!
We had a wonderful time enjoying wine at El Lagar de Isilla, lunch at Milagros and exploring Segovia. Ignacio cared deeply about our experience and made the trip special. Thank you Ignacio! We will cherish this adventure forever!
We had a wonderful day on our Segovia/ winery tour! Ignacio was a great tour guide who led us on a tour and wine tasting at the amazing ElLagar de Isilla winery! Our only regret is that we didn't stay for lunch in that beautiful setting. Ignatio then continued his excellent guidance through the Cathedral at Segovia and into the Alcazar Castle. We topped off our day by sharing a bottle of wine with a tremendous view of the castle from a nearby church. We highly recommend this tour!
Our group of eight had an incredible private tour to Segovia and Pedraza that we will always remember. In Segovia, we explored the stunning Segovia Cathedral and the breathtaking Alcázar of Segovia, with our guide, Ignacio, sharing the history of Spain in a way that was both engaging and easy to understand. We continued on to Pedraza, where driving through the entrance of the small medieval village felt like stepping back in time. We enjoyed the beautiful plaza, relaxed with drinks alongside our guide, and truly soaked in the atmosphere. Ignacio was exceptionally patient, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make the day special for all of us. He was attentive to every detail and genuinely focused on making sure everyone had a great experience. The lunch in Segovia was also a highlight, the cordero and cochinillo were absolutely delicious and well worth it. To end the day, Ignacio opened a bottle of wine and toasted with us, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. We highly recommend him without hesitation. If you are considering a private or small tour, do not think twice.
My family and I were treated to an amazing day tour of Spainish wine, history and culture curtesy of Ignacio. We were picked up by Ignacio in Madrid and driven to the Duero wine region. As soon as we got on the road, Ignacio provided an excellent history of Spain in the context of our surroundings. In his charming and curtesy manners, he safely drove us to a gorgeous winery where we were given a tour and tasting. Ignacio knew just what we wanted in terms of a thorough tour and to allow us some private time to enjoy the wines and snacks. After the winery, Ignacio promptly drove us to a unique family restaurant to enjoy typical Spanish cuisine. He did the ordering for us and all the food and wine was absolutely delicious! After lunch, Ignacio drove us to the fairytale village of Segovia and with his superb driving and knowledge, took us directly to the breathtaking castle there and made arrangements for us to tour both the castle and the Roman Catholic cathedral, one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in Europe. After touring the castle and cathedral, Ignacio escorted us through the quaint streets of Segovia and to the historic aqueduct. His presence was invaluable as it was now dark and he knew exactly where to go and after much walking, his car was waiting for us to drive back. And to top off an incredibly day, as we departed the outskirts of Segovia, Ignacio stopped at an old church site where he opened a bottle of wine he brought for us to toast the day! Ignacio drove us back to Madrid and I can honestly say it was the most magical day my family and I have ever had! Thank you so much Ignacio. You are an outstanding tour guide.
We ended up having a private tour of the winery and Segovia with Ignacio and it was so delightful. He is full of fun stories and history to share and we felt like we were being taken around by a dear uncle. It was lovely to sit and look at the city at the end of the night with a glass of wine together as our last night in Spain. 10/10
Ignacio was an extremely engaging and knowledgeable guide who crafted an amazing itinerary that allowed us to enjoy delicious wine and experience the various attractions in Segovia. We enjoyed visiting a winery away from Madrid and a local spot for lunch that was one of our favorite meals in Spain. Ignacio made sure to provide helpful commentary on the history of the area throughout our drive and would answer any questions we had. In Segovia, we were able to see the Alcazar, the Cathedral, and the Aqueduct as well as taste a traditional dessert from the area. Additionally, Ignacio took pictures throughout our tour that he sent to us at the end. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would absolutely recommend as a great way to see Segovia and a local winery.
This was a fantastic experience! Ignacio is a wonderful guide - friendly, knowledgeable, punctual and flexible! My whole family from age 5 to 80 fully enjoyed the day!
Timely pick up. Great communication. Our guide was fantastic and very patient with all of us. A lot of very interesting information throughout the excursion. Would definitely recommend.!
Excellent tour, very informative and small group. Very well organised and enjoyable. Guide was great, wine tasting was excellent, and very interesting.
Excellent tour. We visited a wi nery, ate lunch at a typical country restaurant, and toured Segovia. In Segovia, we toured the inside of the Alcazar, the Cathedral as well as the Roman aqueduct. We also went into a church that was over 800 years old. It is not typically open, but it was Holy week so we were able to go inside. Ignacio was an excellent guide! He was passionate about sharing Spain's history. This is my third trip to Segovia! One of my favorite towns in Spain. We ordered wine from the winery, and received it a few weeks later. I highly recommend this tour. I was so glad my daughter was able to experience the Spanish countryside, and eat at a typical Spanish restaurant with the locals.
This was a fun filled tour. Ignacio picked us up in Madrid and took us to a beautiful winery in Ribera del Duero. In addition to a tour of the facilities at Bodegas Nabal, we also sampled four wines. Afterwards, we went to a local restaurant for lunch. It was a nice restaurant with good food but we wish that lunch could have been a little later in the day because we had just finished a charcuterie board at the winery. After lunch, we headed to Segovia where we toured the inside of the Alcázar as well as the cathedral and walked through town to see the Aqueduct: Ignacio was thorough in his explanations & provided us with a lot of information about the area and it’s history. Our only suggestion would be to postpone lunch until after the Alcázar so you could grab a quick lunch and have time to look in the shops while there. It was such a cute town! Overall, it was a beautiful day with a kind & thoughtful guide. Ignacio went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and the tour. He even took photos for us throughout the day!
Ignacio was the best guide ever. He is passionate about his tours and it shows. He had the perfect amount of interaction while still giving us the ability to explore on our own. The winery was great and we had some wine shipped back to the states. I usually don't leave reviews but this tour deserved it. I can't recommend this tour enough.
We had an incredible day with Ignacio! This is perfect for individuals wanting a more personable tour, he specializes in small intimate groups. It was our first time to Spain and we wanted to see some sights outside of Madrid. We did the Segovia and Ribera Del Duero tour. The winery tour gave us a taste of wine country that we were very much wanting and Segovia was absolutely beautiful! Ignacio was very knowledgeable about the regions making the drive go quickly. Highly recommend booking this tour!
The personal & animated history of Spain was informative & fun. We also learned about wine which was even more fun. Our guide's insider access & personal relationships with restaurant & winery owners made access seamless.
What an absolutely amazing wine tour! We decided to try a wine tour out of Madrid when I found this Segovia wine tour. Our tour guide Ignosio was a wonderful story teller and truly made our day memorable. The trip to the winery began with a stop at a village and castle, so cool! At the Winery the tour was informative, and the tasting delicious. We had the privilege of meeting the wine maker/owner. After the winery we went on to visit Segovia and visited a castle and a cathedral that will be celebrating its 500 year anniversary. All I can say is WOW! I would highly recommend this tour to everyone
We had the most amazing tour on our trip to Madrid. Our guide was on time. The location of meet up was easy to find and navigate. We got a brief history of the country and wines on our ride to the destination. The winery was amazing and had great wines. The tour and tasting surpassed our expectations. We had an amazing lunch at a local restaurant. The staff and food were top notch. The tour and time spent in Segovia was magical. Our guide made sure we were well taken care of. He thought of every detail. I highly recommend this guide and tour. Outstanding!!
We had booked this tour in advance and arrived at the pickup point early. Had a quick breakfast as the tour had suggested and waited. As the meeting time arrived and went no one showed up. We contacted the tour leader and said we were waiting. He texted that he had car trouble and first said there would be no tour today. We texted back what about tomorrow as that was our only other option time wise. He asked if we could wait and he finally arrived an hour late. Once he arrived and introduced himself things went fine and it turned out to be a very enjoyable tour. It turned out that my better half and I were the only ones that had booked for that day so we essentially had a private tour. He was very knowledgable and did a good job after the less than stellar start.
Ignacio was a great guide with a wealth of information and history. We greatly enjoyed our personal winery tour and tasting. In Segovia, we toured the Alcazar and Cathedral. For us, was viewing the Segovia Aqueduct at sunset before a relaxing drive back to Madrid.
Our guide, Ignacio, was passionate about Spain and obviously loves what he does. He was both informative and entertaining. My entire family had a wonderful time.
Ignacio did a great job of communicating with us from the start to best fit our needs. He was lively and informative tour guide. He knows his wine , the history of Spain and can serve as a tour guide in Segovia. He adjusted our itinerary on a busy day to make sure we made it to Alcazar before the tickets ran out by walking both ways to the van that was parked away from the aquaduct. He made sure we got back to our accommodation in a timely manner too since we had a very early international flight the next day. Ignacio is an independent owner operator of his business and he cares that his clients have the best day trip possible.
It was a great tour. Ignacio our guide was very helpful and very knowledgeable. Also very thoughtful.
Ignacio took us on one of the best tours we’ve ever been on. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, which is obvious in his being a real student of history. He is also passionate about the food and wine elements of the tour. Like many other tour guides, he is friends with the owner of the winery we went to, but the wine was fantastic. He tailored the trip around the group’s wants, so we could spend more time doing the things we wanted to. There was never a rush. I would absolutely go on another tour led by Ignacio, no questions asked.
From beginning to end, this tour was awesome. Our guide & driver Ignacio was full of historic information with a real passion for wine....he was great fun. The wineries were beautiful, the food was great, especially the Lamb & the wine was SUPERB!! But the 'cherry on top of the cake' for me was Ignacio 😉
Our trip to Segovia with Winebuses was an amazing unforgettable experience. Our guide Ignacio went out of his way to make sure that our day with him was unforgettable. On the way to Segovia he explained a lot about the history of the area of Spain that we were to visit along with pointing out interesting landscapes and landmarks along the way. We visited an amazing 9th century castle, went to a winery and had a tour with a tasting. Ignacio then took us to an authentic Spanish restaurant where we tried some local food that we would never have shad a chance to try otherwise. We then went on to Segovia to visit the Alcázar, Aqueduct and cathedral. We spent two weeks in Spain and this was by far the best part of our visit. Thanks Ignacio for an unforgettable experience that will last a lifetime!
We went on the Segovia day trip and wine tour. It was an awesome experience, perfect for anyone trying to visit the wine regions while not having to sacrifice a day trip to one of the incredible towns outside of madrid. Ignacio was an awesome guide leading us through the intertwined history of wine and Spain. Highlights were the tour of the winemaking process, and the views of Segovia at the end of the day!
Ignacio truly made our day in Segovia unforgettable! We immersed ourselves in Spain’s rich history and savored its exquisite wines. The winery tour was fascinating, and the wine tasting was a highlight. Ignacio’s extensive knowledge and clear explanations of Spain’s history enriched our experience immensely. The Alcazar was stunning, and our leisurely walk through town to see the cathedral and the aqueduct was just right. Ignacio took care of every detail—timing, travel arrangements, tickets, and parking—so we could relax and enjoy the day. Additionally, the couple who shared the trip with us were such a delight, adding to the overall enjoyment of the day. I highly recommend signing up for this trip or any tour offered by Ignacio—you will not regret it!
Though it was a group tour, we were lucky enough to be the only couple on this particular day! We had the pleasure of having Ignacio all to ourselves! From our first meeting in the morning, to the drop off in the evening, he was a delight. His knowledge of his country, wine and history, made our day such a wonderful experience. The winery and tasting were so nice and so intimate. It was a Sunday, so it felt as though we had the place to ourselves. He walked us through the workings of the winery and sat with us for the tasting. Very imformative. Segovia was bigger than we thought. Such a beautiful place, with so much history. Strolling through the small streets and visiting the castle and the Roman Aquaduct, were a nice way to see this city. One last stop on our journey home, was a beautiful view of the city, up on a hill with of course, a nice glass of wine in hand. This tour and Ignacio are everything it says it will be. If you have the chance to come to Madrid, please take this tour! Highly recommend it!
Ignacio was a fantastic guide! We spent the day being educated AND hosted to all of Spain’s treasures - its history and its amazing wines! The winery tour was fascinating and the tasting so fun. Ignacio is very knowledgeable and beautifully summarized Spain’s history and gave perfect context to all that we saw in Segovia. The Alcazar is incredible and our walk through town to see the cathedral and the aqueduct was perfect. (It didn’t hurt that the weather was perfect giving us the best views of the city from every vantage point.). Our guide was on top of every little detail for timing, travel details, tickets, parking, etc. His experience made our day worry-free! We were able to just site back and enjoy.
Ignacio was an amazing tour guide and we had such a fun, memorable experience. Would definitely recommend taking this tour!
Ignacio was an amazing tour guide and we loved the tour. It was a very memorable experience wine tasting and seeing Segovia!
We had an amazing experience with Ignacio on Winebus. He is deeply passionate about Spain, wine, and sharing culture. We learned an incredible amount and had a lovely day visiting sites and trying wine. We even got to see the process of filling and labeling the bottles. Would recommend this to anyone.
This is a must do tour for wine lovers traveling to Madrid! Ignacio is a phenomenal guide taking you on an unforgettable tour to wine country, though it’s much more than that! Throughout the day, he will share his deep knowledge about the culture and history of Spain. He attends to every detail and makes sure that you have a personalized, remarkable day! Worth every penny.
We highly recommend this tour to all who like small group size, good food and wine, lots of interesting information on Spain and her history. Let's not forget the beautiful scenery, wow! What a wonderful day.
Highly recommend! A personable, well informed tour guide that made that day unforgettable. Ignacio has incredible knowledge of the area, the wineries and so much more.
We had a blast! Ignacio was wonderful - so gracious and knowledgeable. It was a perfect day. He was able to give us background information on all we saw. We learned so much but also had an amazing time
My husband and I went off to a trip from Madrid to the beautiful town of Segovia with our guide Ignacio. The all day trip included a stop at a winery northwest of Madrid. What a treat. We had a private tasting and sampled some well crafted wines(and bought and shipped some home to the USA for later consumption). Ignacio is a lively and friendly guide and on our drives he provided a crash course in Spanish history. In Segovia we toured the ancient castle and one time capital of Spain, the cathedral and the Roman aqueduct that supplied water to the center of the city. Ignacio is a lover of wine, Spanish history and Iberian ham! You will have a great day touring the heart of Castile with an infectiously upbeat and charming guide. Have fun!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Madrid. Ignacio was so knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating. We learned so much and had a fabulous day!
My mom and I went on this tour. It was the highlight of our trip to Madrid. First we had an amazing tour of a winery in the Ribera Del Duero region. As a wine enthusiast I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the wine making process and then the tasting. We then had an amazing lunch and then headed to Segovia. Segovia was breathtaking. The castle, cathedral, and aqueducts were all fascinating. Ignacio gave us so much history and interesting facts and really customized the tour to cover what we wanted to see. I would give this tour 10 stars if I could!
Ignacio was awesome. He was so passionate about every part of the tour and it made for a remarkable experience. The tour started at the winery, which we really enjoyed. After the tasting we were able to purchase wine and have it shipped back to the states. The lunch that we had at the local restaurant in Milagros was awesome. The lamb chops were so delicious and unlike anything we’ve eaten before. Segovia was absolutely stunning. The castle, the church and the aqueducts were the icing on the cake of this great tour.
Ignacio was the perfect guide! So knowledgeable, thoughtful and flexible. He wanted to tailor the day to what we were really interested in - and added a few fun stops along the way. We would recommend him to anyone!
We had the best day with Ignacio! So good that my husband thought it was possibly the best thing he had ever done on holiday!! There were 5 of us, 3 adults and 2 18-year-olds. We all had the best day. It was a wonderful way to experience the Spanish countryside. We learnt so much about Spanish history from Ignacio during the drive. Our first stop was to the wine tasting. What a great way to learn about Spanish wine and culture! Lunch was very tasty lamb. Very different to what we have at home. Very delicious. We loved Segovia and all the little things that Ignacio did to make it easy for us. Buying the tickets, guiding us through the sites, taking us to eat freshly cut jamon and sipping wine watching the Segovia twilight. We loved it all! Highly recommended for people who light small, private tours and like to do slightly different things to the masses.
Great tour with great tour guide! We thoroughly enjoyed the vineyard tour and wine tasting. The tour was long and included a fair amount of driving to different sites, so get a good night sleep the night before. It was the most memorable tour of our stay in Madrid.
This was such a fun filled experience. The winery was beautiful and the wine tasting was fabulous in a lovely setting accompanied by delicious paired snacks. Segovia was stunning and a must see. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, passionate and energetic. This experience was worth the money and I highly recommend it.
Enjoyed the personal, behind the scenes winery tour before great wine tasting (6 varieties). Ignacio provided us with information on Spanish history and wine making as we drove north out of Madrid. Enjoyed seeing the countryside out of the big city. Segovia was a wonderful, quaint town to visit, castle, cathedral, and historic town. Our “small group” was just that, our two couples in a comfortable Mercedes mini-van.
Ignacio is the best guide. He is knowledgeable and fun and very thoughtful. The winery we visited was good. It is grape harvest season now so we could really see the whole process of turning grapes into wine, and we even had the chance to try out the grapes for winemaking. We tasted some good wines and bought some at excellent prices. The place for lunch Ignacio brought us to had nice food. Then we went to Segovia after lunch and saw the castle, cathedral and of course the aqueduct. Too bad we didn’t have many days in Madrid, otherwise we would definitely love to join more tours with Ignacio.
Our tour was so much fun and very informative about the wine and history of the town. Ignacio was the best host. He went above and beyond to provide a personal touch. This tour was one of the highlights of our trip.
Ignacio was amazing ! He is very passionate and very knowledgeable. This tour wouldn’t be the same without him !
My husband and I had the pleasure to have Ignacio take us on an AMAZING tour this past week to a beautiful winery in Castile and Leon and then onto a wonderful tour of Segovia. Ignacio was exceptionally knowledgeable about all the history of Spain, he took great time to make sure we could ask questions and in explaining all of what was going on. He simply made the experience 100 times better then had we done it alone. The winery was absolutely beautiful, and the wines fantastic (we bought bottles to bring back to the states). We got to sample 5 different wines of varieties and learn about the certification process for the region. After that we had lunch at an authentic wonderful place, and Ignacio had great recommendations, we listened and had our favorite meal in Spain. After a wonderful morning we toured Segovia which was beautiful, and having Ignacio there to translate and help make sure we had a wonderful experience was lovely. We’ve already told our friends and when we’re back we’d absolutely do another of the tours he offers!! Our favorite event of our time in Madrid!
