Segovia Private Day Trip From Madrid With Hotel Pick Up

We booked relatively last minute (a few days before) – a trip to Segovia from Madrid with a driver and local tour guide to show us around in Segovia. Maya was quick and very responsive in getting everything set-up – and the driver and tour guide were both wonderful. Very knowledgable – our driver gave us some very interesting details on Madrid during the journey, and our tour guide in Segovia was really great. Very good value for the money.

An absolute must day trip from Madrid. Segovia is filled with bucket list worthy sites and culture. Our driver/guide Robert and local guide Javier are commended for their expertise and professionalism.

The transfer was seamless and the tour was very well paced! Everyone was professional and helpful.

Our driver, Eduardo, was a wonderful driver who took us from Madrid to Segovia and back. He first took us to a spot to take a great panoramic picture of the Alcazar and gave us ample time to freely roam around Segovia after the guided tour was over. Our local guide who was born in Segovia was wonderful as well and gave us a lot of details about local legends as well as the history of various buildings, structures and neighborhoods. She also reserved a spot at Meson de Candido in advance per our request and we were able to enter the restaurant right at the opening time and taste suckling pig which is a must in Segovia. While the private tour was a bit pricey, it was definitely worth spending the whole day in Segovia and not being rush to move along at a quicker pace when you are in a group tour.

Robert our driver was lovely and informative. The local guide Lola gave us great information! We were given a wonderful recommendation for lunch and had plenty of time to walk around on our own.

Everything was first class on this tour. Our driver Robert was very knowledgeable on all the history of Segovia and Spain in general. He was very flexible and took us to see some beautiful sights in the mountains on our way back to Madrid. Coral, our tour guide in Segovia was also an excellent knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended this tour!

We had a wonderful day in Segovia. We were promptly picked up from our hotel by our driver Roberto. He safely drove us to Segovia, pointing out items of interest as we drove. Once there, we met Coral, our guide for the day. For the next hours, we walked around the town and she gave us information about what we were seeing, and the history of this amazing place. We finally ended at the Alcazar…an amazing place. I have bad knees, and Coral was so good about pacing our pace to allow me to keep my strength. After our tour, Coral and Roberto took us to a restaurant famous for its suckling pig. After lunch, Roberto took us to a French styled palace, then over the mountains back to our hotel. I would highly recommend this tour, thank you!

The whole experience was wonderful! The pickup at our apartment made the trip smooth and enjoyable. The driver and tour guide were both wonderful!

Robert picked us up in a Mercedes right on time. Robert’s English is excellent and we had a nice conversation about Spain on the hour and half trip to Segovia. Upon arrival Robert took us to a beautiful spot where we could take a memorable photo backed by an amazing view of the Alcazar. Next, we met our local guide, Teressa at the base of the famous aqueduct in Segovia. Teressa is a wonderful guide who lives in the Segovia area and speaks excellent English. She walked us through the town including the Cathedral showing us major points of interest ending with a visit to the amazing Alcazar. We felt very comfortable with her as our guide and she was excellent at helping us understand Spanish history and the role these buildings in it. We strongly recommend Teressa as a guide to Segovia. Robert made reservations at the most famous restaurant in Segovia, the Meson de Candido. We had a wonderful lunch in this famous old building overlooking the main plaza and aqueduct. Robert picked us up on time and gave us a comfortable ride back to our Madrid hotel arriving at 1640pm. I would strongly recommended Robert as a chauffeur and English guide.

You don’t want to miss Segovia!! If anything consider spending a couple of days. That said we had a wonderful time on this day trip!

We were picked up promptly at our Hotel door by Roberto. Our ride to Segovia was filled with information provided to us by Roberto about Madrid and Segovia. It was a nice introduction to our tour. In Segovia we were met by our guide Corral. She was extremely knowledgeable of this very history rich town. She guided us a long a beautiful walk in and outside of the city provided a very detailed accounts of the history of this city. She also arranged a lunch reservation at the oldest restaurant in Segovia. The meal was delicious and the ambience just as amazing. Roberto met us promptly and brought us back to our hotel. We highly recommend booking this tour.

Mostly our appreciation to our guide Ignacio for agreeing to stay on and meet us at Segovia. I understand he had had a long morning earlier. Our tour started in the afternoon. Ignacio was truly professional and shared with us information and valuable historical facts at the different sites. Thank you! We booked a private tour for 4 of us to spend the day in Segovia, touring the town, Cathedral and Alcazar. We were picked up promptly at our hotel (a few minutes early !) by our driver Reuben. This was no small feat given our hotel was located in an area of considerable construction. We felt very comfortable and safe with Reuben who is extremely knowledgeable of the local area, a top notch, professional driver! Once in town we were met by our tour guide Caran (sp?), who was also extremely knowledgeable, professional and well versed in local history. She answered any questions that we had and was very personable. We had a fantastic day, with everyone involved in our trip going above and beyond. The communication with us, throughout the booking and confirmation process all the way to when we were dropped off at the end of a full and satisfying day, was clear, timely and thorough. All of our needs were met and then some! We would highly recommend this experience and tour operator!

Excellently organized private tour. The driver picked us up punctually at our hotel at the appointed time.The ride was very pleasant, in a very comfortable vehicle and with good explanations from the driver introducing us to the history of Segovia. Arriving at our destination we made a panoramic tour with a stop at a viewpoint over the Alcazar. Later the driver left us with our guide with whom we did the walking tour of the city. All with the advantage of being a private tour where you can choose in which places to spend more time. In our case, we spent more time visiting the aqueduct and the Alcazar. Excellent service! My husband and I were delighted... it was just what we were looking for, they took us from Madrid to Segovia in a very comfortable private car with our driver Roberto (excellent) and gave us a very private tour with our Coral Guide (excellent) who is a local in the city. It was a very nice walk where they fulfilled everything treated the very right chauffeur friendly and helpful always looking for our comfort. The Carol guide looking for us not to walk too much and adapting to our age the tour has explained and told us in detail the history and gossip of each place making the whole tour very interesting. Exquisite lunch at home Candide. In short everything perfect, thank you very much and we will meet again on our next trips.
