The tour was good enough I guess, but the guide did not appear to have any flexibility with the itinerary. For example, we asked if we could walk on the walk at Avila rather than tour another cathedral, and she said that to see two cities you couldn’t do it all. I didn’t want to do it all! I wanted to skip the cathedral and walk along the walls of Avila for a few minutes. The lunch menu was pre-fix and did not offer any good vegetarian options. Everything felt like I was on someone else’s time and itinerary despite having paid $1,700 for the experience.

Our Certified tour guide with many years of Experience really made this excursion a memorable wonderful experience. Xaranta is extremely knowledgeable about all of Spain but truly exceptional regarding all history of the two cities we visited from Visigoth's to Romans, Moors or Catholic Kings. She made the experience very warm and caring and treated our daughter so kindly. Very personable and caring. We started in Avila and then Segovia. We visited Roman aqueducts and 2 beautiful cathedrals. We love history and Xaranta didn't disappoint. We had Lunch in Segovia and my wife and daughter ate a typical Spanish meal and loved it. I did not have the same experience as on ordered tenderloin which I like medium rare and the chef thought that meant raw! I returned it twice and then gave up. The croquetas de Jamón were quite good though so it wasn't a total loss. That little blip should not take anything away from this most memorable trip. We highly recommend Xaranta as the guide if feasible!
Frederick took us to Avila for a wonderful visit to this “walled” city. He was so nice! We had lunch at an excellent restaurant in Segovia and then Laura took us on a tour there. She lives in Segovia and was so knowledgeable about every site we visited. Be prepared for a lot of walking, stairs, and steep streets.
Laura was an excellent guide. Frederico was too accommodating to people who were physically incapable of doing the tour. It should have been made clear that to them that they were holding up 45 others.
Arantxa was an amazing guide. She was very knowledgeable and Pablo, our driver, was great too! The drive went quickly, and we hand plenty of time to souvenir shop. To top it off the weather was perfect! This trip was the best!
Thank you to Arantxa and Enrico for a great experience to remember for a lifetime. We asked to see historic Spain and that is exactly what they delivered. They were both professional and attentive to the party’s needs. Highly recommend.
Arantxa, our guide, is a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We had a great time in Segovia and Avila. Pablo, our driver, was also very helpful.
Arantxa was an amazing guide! She was on time, knowledgeable, and took great care of our elderly parents and us. Before we left the hotel she made sure that we were dressed for the weather and knew what to expext with the tour. Thanks to her we got some awesome group photos. She knew just where to get the best view. Would 100% book with her again!

We had an amazing time! My wife and I treated my parents for their recent wedding. It was a trip of a lifetime and this tour was the perfect compliment. Many thanks to our guide, who made sure to accommodate our specific mobility needs on this outing. Highly recommend Arantxa!!!
We had the most excellent experience. Our tour guide, Arantxa, was beyond generous with her time and information. She was fun, funny, insightful and full of great stories as we travelled through both towns. Lunch was amazing! We definitely recommend the tour, and if you’re lucky enough to get Arantxa as guide, and Enrique as driver, you have hit the jackpot.
We had a lovely day with our tour guide Maria Novillo and our driver Pablo visiting Avila & Segovia. Maria's knowledge of the history of both towns, and of Spain in general is very impressive. Her delightful personality made everyone in our group of 5 feel right at home. I would highly recommend this tour for folks who want a personalized experience seeing these two ancient towns.
Thie tour guide Beatriz and driver Pablo were both excellent and the tour was very interesting and informative. Beatriz is very knowledgeable about the sites and Spain history overall. It was a great learning experience.
Tour was amazing. Our tour guide Marisol and driver Oscar were great. Everything was done in a timely manner.
Amazing Avila & Segovia tour! My guide Rafa was knowledgeable and witty, bringing history to life. A must-do! The tour also included a delicious lunch at a top local restaurant.
Really loved the locations, and loved the tour guide who was very kind. A lot of chances to take pictures and even had the chance to eat a very special meal local to the area.
Excellent, experienced and good memorable trip . We had enjoyed with Ms Arantxa our friendly, extraordinary and patient tour guide with family trip for today. It was the best experience ever. She took us from large extravagant cathedrals to a beautiful luxury restaurant with a lovely 3 corse meal. We all enjoyed this amazing trip with the best instructor ever. I would deeply rate this trip 5 stars. I would definitely recommend this trip for anyone who loves fun and adventure.
Beautiful scenic spots, rich historical monuments, and professional explanations gave us an unforgettable experience. Especially the patient and considerate tour guide Arantxa took good care of the elderly and young people in the group. A tour worth recommending!
The tour guide was very kind and caring, she was very patient with us, and answered our questions well.
Fantastic trip. Anna was very knowledgeable and accommodating. She went out of her way to help me with a question/interest that had nothing to do with the tour.
Anna was very knowledgeable about the history and architecture. She showed us all the best places for photos! Excellent!
Arantxa was so great and personable. We wish we can have her in all of our remaining tours. So entertaining and so pleasant.
Everything was great and our tour guide Arantxa was not only very knowledgeable but also very helpful with our needs.
We did a day tour with Ananta and had an exceptional experience. She was extremely knowledgeable of everything we visited today. She wasted no time, but yet gave us a personal experience of areas around her hometown . It was a very private and special tour. One of the best we’ve had in our time here in Spain.
Arantxa, was a wonderful guide who personalized our tour in Avila and Segovia with wonderful historic insights (5 Stars). The lunch in Segovia was delicious! She made us feel like part of her extended family. We feel very fortunate to have experienced this part of Spain thru her interpretation! Hopefully someday Brad Pitt will see this post and ask for a tour with her. Best guide Ever!
We had a great time. Guide was wonderful and driver made for an enjoyable drive. We will attempt to recreate the soup we had for lunch when we return home.
Throughly enjoyed the tour and the details Arantxa provided thoughout in both locations. The tranquility of Avila and the Alcazar in Segovia were favorites.
Aranzazu was our private tour guide and she's one of the best we've had! She is very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable. We are a group of 5 with elders as well as a 6yo so we had to take frequent, unscheduled breaks and she was able to arrange everything on the fly. We are very glad she was our guide!
Wow just wow, this was better than what we expected. Herman, our tour guide was very nice, very informative and very fun to be with. We wouldn’t be able to see all the places we did nor know the history behind them without him. Please book with him you won’t regret it!
Antonio the driver, and German as our guide. Very professional and so informative about everything. Thank you.
Everything was great! I enjoyed walking thru the streets of Segovia & Ávila. The castle & aquaducts at Segovia were the highlights of the tour. Since we had a private tour with my family, our guide (Arantxa) was really accommodating. Due to a recent knee surgery, I had a difficult time walking for long periods of time. Instead of walking, she called our driver to drive us up to the church & aquaducts, if not I would have stayed in the van with the driver. The tour was exhausting, but well worth it!
Our main tour guide, Oscar, was very knowledgeable, capable and personable in his delivery, and conduct, of this trip😁
I really enjoyed day, pick up at our hotel on time, fantastic guide, wonderful lunch, cochinillo Exe.
Our experience was very good! Our guide was Frederico, very cool, and Laura in Segovia, who definitely left the experience much more special. It is well run, but we thought it gave to see everything that was important in Avila, we just missed a free time to stroll in Segovia (the free time only gave to lunch in the place indicated by the company). But for those who want to optimize and do both, it is well worth it.
Despite the rainy day we had wonderful moments. The car was very comfortable and the guide, Arantxa, extremely kind and well informed. The cities of Avila and Segovia are beautiful and offer a true immersion in history. Impermeable!
Our guide Arantxa was extremely attentive. Very excited, presented us the attractions of the cities with a fantastic level of detail. The lunch was also delicious. I highly recommend this tour.
The tour was magical!! The information they shared with us was very interesting. We enjoyed it very much as a family. It was my husband and my two children, who were entertained throughout the tour. We also had time for some beautiful photos.
Good experience and mastery of the topics by Marisol. The driver Oscar was very patient and kind.
Marisol was our guide, tremendous experience. Their explanations were super interesting and the places they took us to were really super interesting.
Magnificent treatment and attention from the day before by the operator Fun and Tickets, Isaac could not have been more instructive since he picked us up at the hotel, the suckling pig in Segovia was spectacular and the views from the Alcázar were not to be missed. They made us feel special, totally recommended.
5 days getaway to return to Madrid and be able to know the city in another way, hopefully it will regain its rhythm of life quickly, because there have been moments that we were alone in some place like the museum of the meadow, We wanted to go to Segovia and in the hotel we were offered a tour to avila and segovia with this operator, chance that we were already last year with them in Mallorca. Likewise we find two almost empty cities that together with the guide we had exclusively we could see many more things. We recommended this tour and the food we could not finish, too much singing and thanks to the driver who constantly provided us spray to disinfect the covid 19 every time we got on and off the Van that was very comfortable for the 6.
