Segovia & Avila Small Group Tour With Hotel Pick Up From Madrid

Excellent day trip tour to Avila and Segovia in a comfortable vehicle in a small group (6 people including guide). We were picked up at our hotel on time by Maria who was the driver and tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and great company and worked really hard all day as every explanation was given in English and Spanish as half the group only spoke English and the half other only Spanish. Although the day was long, the itinerary was well thought out and there was plenty of free time throughout the day; nothing felt rushed. Would recommend this tour.

The day was good. It was very convenient having a guide that picked us up at our hotels and dropped us off. The day was well planned and executed. The alcazar was gorgeous. The guide was kind and pleasant but could have used more information.

This small tour was great. I was picked up at my hotel, which saved me walking 25 minutes each way to a meeting point. This was highly valued by a woman traveling alone & getting back in the evening when it might be getting dark. I loved the small group idea so your tour is able to be personalized. Sandra was my tour guide. She was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited & the history. She was always amendable to the plan of the day to be able to spend more time in one area vs another or when to stop to eat, shop etc. There is no way I would have been able to see all that I did without Sandra’s knowledge of the areas & being able to navigate the narrow, winding roads of the towns. I really enjoyed my day. Highly recommend!!!

I enjoyed this trip to Segovia and Avila. Seeing the aqueduct in Segovia was the highlight of the trip for me, but the Basilica and Alcazar are also worth visiting. Overall an excellent trip. The guide Maria was very good. She was very personable and shared a lot of the history of both cities. I enjoyed having her as the guide.

Excellent experience! Everything went smoothly, from hotel pickup, through your of magnificent Avila and Segovia. Julio Cesar, or guide, was amazingly friendly and knowledgeable, and kept us entranced with his knowledgeable discourse and safe driving.

Julius is a very experienced and nice guide. We’ve had a wonderful day tour with lots of gorgeous sightseeing and a tasty lunch.

Great value and personable tour guide. The driver was very safe and the vehicle was clean. The style of tour allowed for plenty of free time to explore -- as opposed to being overly regimented which I don't tend to like as much. Would recommend.

I took this day trip with Pablo. The pickup was easy in front of my hotel. Avila and Segovia are both beautiful old cities! The walls that surround Avila are memorable to see! I liked the pristine Roman Aqueduct at Segovia the most! The drive to the two cities was pleasant. I had a relaxing day with a good amount of walking. Pablo knows history very well - You will gain new knowledge with Pablo . . .

Best and nice guide. Very knolodge of the areas bost way: historical and cultural. Her tour was very detailed offering a lot of inputs from the main points. Walked with us any were and was very easy to offer alternitive routes and explain about there. GREAT

We had a great experience visiting Avila and Segovia with Sandra. She was very informative and very friendly and courteous.

Our guide, Sandra, reached out the night before to coordinate the pickup time the next morning and answer any questions. She was punctual and super friendly. We were with 1 other person that was picked up afterwards. Sandra was very accommodating and attentive. Highly recommend- no worries about where to meet or train schedules. She was a great driver!

Wonderful day spent with our guide, Josefina. We did the tour to Avila and Segovia and learned about the history of each city. We had ample time to visit sites on our own after a brief history lesson with Josefina. The Murallas of Avila and the Cathedral of Segovia are not to be missed. We had an awesome lunch at Temu in Segovia (highly recommended by our guide) that provided a Lebanese twist on some local dishes. All in all a superb day. Thank you!

Great day trip. Drive was nice and guide Julios was very knowledgeable. Made a reservation for the group for lunch which was really good.

This small group tour was absolutely the best way to see Segovia and Ávila. Sandra was a wonderful guide and allowed our group of five guests to decide how to divide our time among the two historical cities. In Segovia she even moved the van to pick us up by the castle which was our last stop. The small group in English was much better than being part of a larger bilingual group where you lose so much time waiting for 30+ passengers to load and unload. This company also did a great job of communicating in the days prior to the tour. Sandra also called the night before the tour to provide our pickup time and even texted us the morning of the tour.

A very organised small group tour . Our guide Antonella is excellent and professional , and made special arrangements for me as I walk with a walking stick. The pace of the tour is not rushed with plenty of free time to do your own thing . Highly recommended

Antonella, our guide was very accommodating. Adjusts to our needs and concerns. Was very informative. We were not rushed as usual tours go but we had plenty of time to enjoy the place and hence found the time to really enjoy it and learn about it. She made sure everybody was comfortable during the whole journey.

We had an absolutely wonderful full-day tour of Ávila and Segovia with Matt, and I honestly cannot recommend him highly enough. From the moment we met him, it felt less like spending the day with a tour guide and more like exploring these incredible places with an extremely knowledgeable and interesting friend. Matt has a wonderful personality, a great sense of humor, and an easy, engaging way of explaining history that never feels like a lecture. And his knowledge is extraordinary. Matt is a history professor, and it shows. He doesn’t simply memorize dates and facts. He understands the historical context behind what you are seeing and has the ability to connect architecture, religion, culture and politics in a way that makes history actually come alive. We asked him questions about absolutely everything throughout the day, and I don’t think we managed to stump him once. One of the things that made the tour especially interesting was Matt’s personal background. Being originally from Iran, he brought an additional cultural perspective to the Islamic and Mudéjar influences that are so visible in Segovia’s architecture and history. It added another dimension to the experience and gave us a much deeper understanding of what we were actually looking at. He also never rushed us. We could stop, look, photograph, ask another question, wander off to examine something that caught our attention, and somehow Matt kept the entire day flowing effortlessly. By the end of the tour, Steve and I felt that we had experienced much more than simply visiting Ávila and Segovia. We had spent a fascinating day learning, talking, laughing, and seeing these places through the eyes of someone who genuinely understands and loves history. Matt, thank you for making an already beautiful part of Spain so much more memorable for us. Absolutely five stars and then some.

I thought Antonelle was excellent. We were a mixed group of different ages and she paced it well. She had great knowledge and funny tales. The sites, food and shopping were great.

Our trip to Segovia and Avila was very pleasant and special thanks to Sandra. She was exactly the guide my family needed since we were eight people, including a senior citizen. Sandra was punctual, always full of energy, joy, and above all, flexible regarding what we wanted to see and do. Her explanations of the sites helped us understand and appreciate each place more, and she was very kind in helping us take some photos. She is also an excellent driver. A great excursion with super service and a great guide. Small group (including guide 7 people). Pick-up and drop-off service directly at the hotel. New Ford bus, ideal for the group. Our guide was very friendly, a great driver, provided very good information during the drive and on the two tours through Avila and Segovia. It was a great experience and definitely recommended.
