This was a great way to see the city in a short amount of time. We were only in Madrid for two full days, so this was a perfect way to get an intro to the highlights so that we could get our bearings and pick and choose what we wanted to see more of. Our guide, Cesar was friendly and knowledgeable and the tour was actually a lot of fun.

Itinerary
The Almudena Cathedral is the most important religious building in Madrid. On June 15, 1993, it was consecrated by Pope John Paul II, becoming the first consecrated cathedral outside Rome. The Almudena Cathedral Museum gathers dozens of objects that tell the story of the diocese of Madrid. In the twelve rooms that the museum has you will see from mosaics to episcopal shields and ornament.
Opened in May 1916 as a food market, this centennial establishment becomes in May 2009 the first gastronomic market in Madrid. During 2018 the market experiences a period of consolidation of much of its gastronomic content, with renowned chefs nationally and internationally.
Located in the very characteristic Barrio de las Letras, we are opposite the place where one of the most famous writers in history lived and died: Miguel de Cervantes. After a life full of adventures, the writer of "Don Quixote de la Mancha" lived among the narrow streets of 16th century Madrid, where novels, theatrical performances in comedy pens, poetry and art coexisted, with street picaresque, duels between gentlemen and liars.
The Palace of the Spanish Courts, was built on the site of the former convent of the Holy Spirit that was used as the seat of Congress between 1834 and 1841. On the main facade, a staircase ascends to the neoclassical porch, with six imposing striated columns, of a Corinthian order, on which the triangular pediment decorated with reliefs of Ponciano Ponzano rises. The emblematic lions that flank the entrance are the work of the same sculptor and were cast with the iron of the cannons captured during the war in Africa. Under the pediment, the chiseled bronze door opens only on very marked occasions. Among the rooms of the building, symmetrical, highlights the well-known Session room, but also the library or the Conference room, better known as the "lost steps" room.
Both gods occupy prominent positions within the Greek mythological hierarchy and rival in the sports field, since the fans of Atlético de Madrid celebrate their victories in the square of the god of the sea, while that of Real Madrid does so in that of Cibeles. As part of the original Ventura Rodríguez project, both sources were initially confronted, looking at each other on the side of Paseo del Prado. Both Cibeles and Neptune experienced restructuring and transfer processes at the end of the 19th century, finally occupying the center of the Cibeles and Cánovas del Castillo squares, respectively.
Singularly rich in paintings by European masters from the 16th to the 19th centuries, according to art historian and hispanist Jonathan Brown "few would dare to doubt that it is the most important museum in the world in European painting." Its main attraction lies in the wide presence of Velázquez, El Greco, Goya (the most widely represented artist in the museum), Tiziano, Rubens and El Bosco, of which he has the best and most extensive collections that exist worldwide, a what should be added outstanding sets of authors as important as Murillo, Ribera, Zurbarán, Fra Angelico, Rafael, Veronese, Tintoretto, Patinir, Antonio Moro, Van Dyck or Poussin, to name just a few of the most relevant.
Popularly known as "Los Jerónimos", its official name is that of Parish Church of San Jerónimo el Real. It is located next to the Prado Museum, at the back, and is late Gothic with Renaissance influences from the early 16th century. Although there is little left of the original building, it has been remodeled and restored many times over the centuries. His name refers to his special relationship with the kings of Spain, to begin with it was built by order of the Catholic Monarchs and throughout history it became the place of spiritual retreat of several monarchs. In addition, for centuries it has been the scene of royal investiture in the absence of a cathedral and the wedding of Alfonso XIII was also held here, for which the great stairway leading to its door was built in 1906.
This monumental door, built by mandate of Carlos III to replace a previous one dating from the 16th century, was inaugurated in 1778. Designed by Francesco Sabatini, it is a granite arc of triumph of neoclassical style, the first built in Europe after the fall of the Roman Empire, a precursor to others known as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris or the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin. Unlike the Puerta de Toledo or San Vicente, it has five openings instead of the usual three. The two facades of which it is composed show different decorations, making the inner face easier (initially the one facing the city, which includes the four virtues: Prudence, Justice, Temperance and Fortress) than the exterior, chaired by the royal shield and with greater decorative wealth, which was what those who entered Madrid saw. It receives its name for being located next to the road that led to Alcalá de Henares.
Surrounded by the buildings of the Palacio de Buenavista (Army Headquarters), Palacio de Linares (Casa de América), Palacio de Comunicaciones (formerly the Post Office headquarters and currently the City Council of Madrid) and Banco de España. The fountain represents the Roman goddess Cibeles, symbol of the land, agriculture and fertility, on a car pulled by two lions, the mythological characters Hipomenes and Atalanta. The goddess and the lions were carved in marble and the rest in stone. The sculpture of the goddess is the work of Francisco Gutiérrez. The two lions have been sculpted by the Frenchman Roberto Michel. The goddess is an icon for the followers of the Real Madrid football team, since the Madrid team titles are celebrated, as well as the successes of the Spanish soccer team.
All a decorative waste, awarded at the National Exhibition of Fine Arts of 1884. The building was built with the aim of providing the National Bank with a seat more in line with the importance of its functions, such as the single issuance of coins and bills for everything Spanish territory The interior of the building can only be visited by groups of educational centers and universities. Exceptionally, also by non-profit cultural and associative entities.
Plaza de Santa Ana is an open space in the Cortes neighborhood, in the Centro district of Madrid. It dates from 1810 and throughout its history it has undergone numerous urbanization processes that have modified its appearance with varying degrees of success.

This was an amazing way to see the city. Our drivers were really great as we had two Tuk tuk’s as there was 5 adults in our group. Lots of information about the city and lots of places larger vehicles can’t get to. Really great tour highly recommend
Carlos was a charming and knowledgeable guide with interesting information and conversation regarding much more than the usual canned recitation of facts. It was the hottest week of August and he was continually mindful of keeping us in shade when possible. I wish I had a better grasp of the meeting point before walking back and forth in the heat but once the tour started we were very pleased.
We arrived in Barcelona on a very hot day. It was a short stay but we wanted to see as much as possible. Our guide was very knowledgeable kind and accommodating. I recommend this tour for anyone short on time.
Disappointing for the price. Drove thru many streets, but learned very little. Would not recommend to anyone.
Our driver Amanda went above and beyond. One of our group left her phone in a cab and Amanda helped coordinate with the driver to get the phone back on the tour! Barcelona is a lovely city!
Would absolutely recommend Eco TukTuk to anyone visiting Barcelona. Our guide Samuel really brought the city and its history to life for us and was very knowledgable. A really fun introduction to Barcelona that gave us lots of ideas for things we’d like to explore more. The two-hour tour was just right for our group (adults and children 11 and 14).
We had a very difficult time locating the meeting point. Original location was changed in the middle of the night. The company did contact us to notify of the change. Extremely difficult for us to locate the new location. GPS didn’t work correctly and locals had no clue where we were trying to go. However the tour guide was very helpful and spoke our language and was helpful and informative.
Juan was great - really friendly and interesting. We got a great feel for Madrid so we could revisit what we liked the best .
This was a 5 star experience all round. From the website to the booking through to the communication pre-tour everything was perfect. The information provided and the manner in which it was made it a very comfortable build up. The tour itself was even better, our guide Gustavo was friendly, engaging and knowledgeable as well as being a safe driver. We learnt a lot from Gustavo about the history of Madrid and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. My son who is 9 had a great time - thoroughly recommend!
Great tour. Staff very helpful finding the “hidden” starting point. Our driver was very knowledgeable, friendly and professional. Spoke excellent English. Great way to see he city.
Excellent introduction to the city. Wonderful guide, Juan. Very knowledgeable, clear and kind. We enjoyed very much.
Esther was an amazing tour guide. It was a great way to get acclimated to the city upon arrival. Would highly recommend it
Greatly recommended for its itinerary and guide. Juan Pablo is an excellent guide with lots of information on even very specific details. However, Eco Tuk Tuk had no flexibility when I made a mistake on the hour reserved and immediately informed them to request the change. We ended up paying twice for the tour and was not even offered a partial credit for future use.
Carlos was super friendly and knowledgeable!! Shared stories and historical facts we hadn't heard before. We never would have seen some of the local neighborhoods if we didnt take this tour. We lucked out getting Carlos. He was amazing
We enjoyed our Tuk tuk ride. Our driver was funny, friendly and knowledgeable. He e learned a lot about the history of Madrid and saw some interesting spots.
We booked this tour for the day of our arrival to Madrid from the US, knowing we would be extremely tired and jet lagged. There are so many TukTuk companies around the palace, we had a little trouble finding Eco company. We found the start point after calling the number on our tickets... it was a bit confusing to find the staircase down below the park, but assistance was easy as she talked me through the directions. Our TukTuk driver was friendly and gave us a nice overview of the history of Madrid, the remains of the ancient city wall, and the sights and layout of the area. It was helpful for us to revisit them later on foot during our stay.
Fernando was our tour guide and he was amazing. It was a beautiful day and Fernando gave us a great tour of Madrid and provided lots of facts and information about the culture of Madrid.
We had an amazing journey throughout the streets of Madrid with our incredible guides! The weather was very hot and we ended having a squirt gun fight between our two tuk tuks. It was the highlight of our trip for the children! Thank you
Lucia was an excellent tour guide. We did the 2 hour tour and it was well worth it. Pointed out many points of interests, stories and good restaurants to come back to.
Our tour, as well as our tour guide Esther, was wonderful! We had always thought about taking a Tuk Tuk, but have never done so. We finally did so in Madrid and we are so happy that we did! It was a great way to get close to the mini interesting sights, and Esther had wonderful knowledge of the history to share with us… unlike the hop on hop off bus… we were able to ask questions, and Esther’s deep knowledge of Madrid’s history answered every question! She also shared tips along the way of local knowledge of every neighborhood that we passed through. We highly recommend this Tuk Tuk tour!!
Our driver was EXCELLENT! He dug deep into the history. A totally enjoyable tour! Also we had to reschedule and that was handled flawlessly. Highly recommended!!!
My flight to Madrid was cancelled because of weather and I booked an emergency flight that would arrive the same day but a few hours later. I asked the operator if I could reschedule the time because we would be arriving later due to this. He refused and basically told me that it isn’t his problem because it was less than 24 hours. He refused to reschedule or issue a refund. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE just find a company or service when you get to Madrid but stay away from Eco Tuk Tuk
Totally awesome way to see a city - I highly recommend that you at least try it out Eco Tuk-Tuk were amazing. I guided clearly knows her city
Tuk Tuks are such fun, easy way to learn about a city so long as you get a good, reputable provider. Our guide was knowledgeable, accommodating and we had a great introduction to the city.
The tour was really fun and informative! A great way to start our trip thanks to our guide Alex :) Would recommend to everyone 10/10
Fernando was excellent. Great tour and money well spent. Lots of off vehicle time to explore and lots of great information.
Our tour guide David was simply fantastic! Everyone in the family enjoyed, especially the children (6yo and 7yo). This was a great way to start our Madrid trip, as it gave us an idea of where everything was at and what we wanted to go back and see/do. Communication was easy (they even had car seats prepared for the kids) and the pick-up/drop-off was easy.
This is an ok overview. I think it's worth about half the price they charge. I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of driving around the exterior of the park talking about former pavilions from some world expo. Ok......
Great tour, saw lots of Madrid. Very informative. Definitely recommend especially good after an overnight flight!
We loved the experience. It's a nice way to start your trip . Love the attention. Our 12 year old daughter love the ride and the scenery was amazing
Carlos was great! We had a great time exploring the city with him. He was knowledgeable and very friendly! We recommend him and the tour!
Our tour guide Carlos was excellent. He was entertaining and knowledgeable. I opted for a one hour quick tour in the little cart. So easy! I highly recommend.
Christian gave us an excellent couple of hours introduction to Madrid. I would recommend the experience to anyone visiting the city for the first time.
The wife and I went on this tour today and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Our guide Alex was very knowledgeable and funny and pointed out all the historical sites and told us all about the history of them which was really interesting. To anyone coming to Madrid and want to have a lovely tour and learn something about this beautiful city then I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Alex!
We managed to book this express tuk tuk tour the last minute as we were on a time constraint. Our guide Carlos was very good and was very knowledgeable about all the historical sites we visited. It was a jam packed hour ride for sure.
While in Barcelona it was recommended when we book a TUK TUK tour for our trip to Madrid, we went on line on the evening of the 23rd and we’re booking for the 25th since we did not leave Barcelona till the evening of the 24th. When we switched from a two hour to three hour , the system glitched and booked the wrong date the 24th. We immediately sent a note to office and to the automatic fareharbour and helloecotuktuk. We recieved a call the morning of the 24th telling us that their cancellation policy was 24hours and we were outside that window. We explained what happened and we didn’t want to cancel but go to our original date. The woman who said she was the manager , just kept repeating the policy and was of absolutely no help at all. Telling us to basically to go pound sand. So they just kept the money with no tour. Terrible terrible customer service and a total lack of care of what happened on their website. Again we just wnated to switch to the correct date. I will never use them or recommend anyone does
The local knowledgeable tour guide was refreshing. We have had many tours with Viator in past few years in Asia and beyond and mostly have not had local tour guides which is disappointing. He was great and very pleasant.
Great tour. Small and personal. The Tuk Tuk vehicles have room for 4 people. My wife and I were the only customers. Alex, our guide, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. A great tour and experience. Bob
We booked our tour at the last minute and to our surprise we were able to secure a spot within the next hour. Our guide, Carlos was very knowledgeable and had great passion for the city of Madrid. He ensured we could hear him appropriately and that we were comfortable. I’d highly recommend any first time visitors to go ahead and book this experience, as it allows you to get a feel for the city and various neighbourhoods and key sights- especially if you have a short timeframe.
Pilar was a super friendly and knowledgeable guide. We learnt a lot and saw a good chunk of the city, which was perfect as we weren’t staying in Seville for that many days. Thank you for a great tour!
Great experience seeing the sites and hearing the history. The driver was knowledgeable. The 2 hour trip was good to see the main attractions.
Great way to see city. Tuk tuk is very comfortable and rugs supplies if needed. Gastevo was very friendly n extremely knowledgeable. Thank you
We absolutely loved the Eco Tuk Tuk experience. Fernando our guide was extremely informative and funny, and spoke impeccable English. As well as an amazing tour, we got some great recommendations for things to do and places to eat, which led to probably our best food experience in Madrid. Highly recommend!
Had a great time getting an excellent orientation around Madrid with Fernando. Great knowledge and sense of humour. Would highly recommend Eco Tuk Tuk
An excellent experience with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. Excellent value for our group of 4.
Our guide Melanie was fantastic, she took us through a journey of how Madrid came to be, the city is rich in culture and that can be seen through some of its historic buildings and structures. It was quite a great experience to ride on the tuk tuk and to see the city. Graciàs Melanie for taking us through the experience.
We had a great time seeing Madrid through the TukTuk way. Our tour guide Oleg was very knowledgeable and passionate about the community of Madrid. He loved sharing the history of his city. He and the company were very patient with us and tried to accommodate our needs considering taking the tour with our young son. Overall- 5 star like experience; highly recommend!
Gloria was awesome. 2 hour tour and we were so glad we did. Great info, couple stops. Very pleasant and informative. Highly recommended
Alejandro was nice and informative! Nice to see all the sights of Madrid It’s a bumpy ride so keep that in mind if you have back issues.
