The Tour Guide is really well-versed in the art history and the general history of the area. She was also charming and fun to be with. I couldn’t imagine going to this museum, perhaps only this once, without having somebody to tour me through it.

My private tour of the Prado Museum with Stefania was outstanding. Stefania brought out so many aspects of the paintings, the paintings came alive. The history of Spain ties so much with many of the paintings and Stefania also brought this out in her explanation. I was unfamiliar with the artist, Hieronymus Bosch, whose artwork is filled with fantastical imagery and biblical themes. I can't thank Stefania enough for providing a symbolic narrative of this surrealist painter. I was so intrigued by his artwork that I bought a book on this artist. I highly recommend a private tour because it will help enrich your knowledge of the masterpieces you are viewing at the Prado museum.

Highly recommend. My 26 yr old daughter and 28 yr old nephew and I all agree that Maria our guide was superb. We really enjoyed it. Of course the art is amazing at one of the great museums of the world, but Maria made it even more special.

He kept us all engaged, could talk about art history, every art piece in the museum and helped us all understand the significance of the Prado, its artists and the history and personalities behind the paintings. We decided to do an 1h and 30' tour on Prado Museum and it was a great experience. It was our first time at the museum and we could appreciate and learn the most important paintings. Olaya was a fantastic guide to the art and history of the Prado. Her depth of knowledge on both subjects was absolutely amazing, and her level of professionalism speaks so highly of her and the high standards she holds herself to. Francisco is extremely knowledgeable and knows his way around the Prado museum. We covered a lot of ground in 2 hours. I have done Prado and other museums before but highly recommend the private visit/tour.

Our tour was absolutely amazing. The guide contacted us days before just in case we had any special request, we had none, but still the tour was plenty of good quality details. We received much more than we paid.

My guide, Fernando, was an excellent choice by Viator. He is well educated in history of Spain, the art history and knew the background stories of each Artist and details of their lives and speaks excellent English. He has a very cordial, very polite and has a friendly personality. He started the tour with asking if I had any special needs (elevator instead of stairs), paced to my tempo, and especially asked if I had any 'favorite' pieces or requests to see certain pieces or artists in the Prado. Fernando is very well informed and intelligent and answered my million questions about Spain's history, culturally, politically, etc. and how it was influenced by events in the Old World and New World. He brought insight into each artist, their training, art patrons, etc. that made them vibrant and real. Fernando is an excellent guide/teacher and communicated before the tour and send a reminder that morning before the tour. Fernando gave me the best private tour of any museum I have ever experienced around the globe!

Our guide was very knoleagble and he provided a very interesting tour. We asked him to go deeper on the Spanish Barroque (we thought that that is something unique in the Prado Museum) and he told us about the context and the art which that determinate context produced (Zurbaran, Velasquez, Murillo, Ribera...). We would totally recommend.

This is not the typical guide that you can easily substitute by the audioguide you can get at the museum: open for questions, always kind, very polite... Everything we could have asked for.

Prado Museum is majestic, so I got the chance. The price includes the ticket, then, what else one needs? I got amazed by Fernando's (the guide) vision: "Las meninas is the first mirror selfie ever", he's one of a kind too.

I've lived in Madrid for many years and always enjoy taking friends and family to the Prado. It's a great gem of a museum. This is the first time I've booked a guide, because it's the first time our party included a couple of teenagers who quie rightly would prefer to be distracted by other Madrid delights. The adults were highly impressed by the informative light touch approach to the conveying of xetailed information. Most impressive of all is how the guide related it to themes and jokes that our teenagers lapped up. Highly recommended

Yesterday, a group of friends decided to visit El Prado Museum. We were lucky enough to get a lovely guide, Fernando. The tour guide was incredible and the tour was extremely interesting and entertaining. If you are keen on art, or aren't that keen but feel you would like to know some more, I thoroughly recommend you try this out!! I'm sure we will be back in the near future!

It's a big museum. It can't be done in a day. I watched it in half a day and two days, but I missed it. Hare and horn, it's huge. Cameras are not allowed. Tickets are cheap to visit three museums in Madrid. Senior discounts are also available. If you want to watch the show for a short time, you need to investigate beforehand.

A recommended tour to the maximum, great value for money and for all levels of knowledge. We were a group of friends, some of us already knew the museum and others, however they are those who usually flee from museums. And that, in the Prado, can be a problem hahahahaj We did the tour with Fernando Camacho and, in addition to spending our time flying, even the two "discolos" came out acknowledging that they had had a great time. For those of us who already knew him, it has been a real delight to enjoy the jewel that is the Prado from Fernando’s expert eye. A freak, really.

It was a super enjoyable visit. Great value for money. It is highly recommended even if, as was my case, you already know the museum. I decided to hire the tour because friends not very fond of art were coming with me and in the end they were delighted. I would repeat and probably do it with another museum.
