Rosita is a wonderful guide. We really enjoyed her friendly personality and her extensive knowledge of the art. We learned so much in just two hours.

Literally just finished our tour (second for my husband and I thru Babylon and first for my family) and quickly became our favorite event of a two week three country trip strictly because of Michele our guide. Please request him if you can!!
Jose was an excellent tour guide. He is definitely well-versed in art and history. Jose educated us on the important elements of key paintings in the museum. We learned a lot on this very informative tour!
We had an excellent tour with Rosita from Babylon Tours. She took us through all of the primary pieces that most people come to see. My family, which included my husband, my mother and two teenagers all really enjoyed hearing her perspective. Rosita is engaging, funny, and very knowledgeable.
We had a fabulous time learning so much about Spanish History and art with Pablo. We would 100% recommend this tour and remind you to ask for Pablo. He was funny, super knowledgeable about the art and very much enhanced our experience. His explanations and interpretations and ability to get us to see more in each work of art were amazing. We loved it. There is so much to see and having someone point you in the right direction made it worthwhile and memorable! Thank you Pablo!!
Jake was our tour guide and was very knowledgeable. Jake showed us the must see pieces that others may have missed. Jake was so pleasant and accommodating- ensuring we could take breaks, as needed. I would highly recommend Jake for any tours! Izzy and Barry.
Rosita gave us a fabulous tour of the Prado. We highly recommend her if you want to learn history and understand artistic details.
Jake was an amazing guide! He really brought the art to life and contextualized it within Spanish history in a very clear and approachable way. It was 2.5 hours very well spent!
Rosita is an art history major and is very knowledgeable about The Prado. We saw the most famous paintings and her special favorites. She speaks English well and has a pleasant , fun personality
What avgreat way to experience art. Its worth every cent. You get a great prospective and the history. I learn more then I would from an audio
Rosita was superb. Excellent tour and deeply knowledgeable, and fun. El Greco is my fave. Especially liked the detour to the secret chamber to view the special painting
Rosita was incredibly knowledgeable. She made visiting The Prado museum manageable. She guided us through a highly-curated piece of the collection weaving in history, art commentary and note-worthy anecdotes. Great tour!
Rosita's tour was exceptional! I enthusiastically recommend her as a guide. Rosita went above and beyond to create a cohesive and easy to follow experience through the Prado. She has deep knowledge of all the works in the museum and shared her knowledge in a warm and approachable way. This was by far the best museum experience I have ever had.
Rosita was incredible! She met us outside, and was immediately welcoming. She wanted to learn about us personally and then began the tour. During the tour she was extremely knowledgeable, even with questions regarding more history! She also made us feel very comfortable, to ask questions and not be scared if it was a “silly” one. She was lively and exciting. We could feel her enthusiasm when she spoke and it really made us feel excited! If you’re a beginner or an experienced visitor( you cannot go wrong with Rosita! I can’t wait to hopefully see her again on another tour!
Jaime was our perfect partner for our introduction to the Prado collections. Knowledgeable, soft spoken and clear, he took us through the centuries, explaining the works of famous artists. He accommodated personal requests and explained the minute features of famous works. We were lucky to have Jaime for our Prado journey.
Beatriz brought passion and knowledge to our tour. She made sure to give detail when needed but not to overwhelm with minutia. She keep the pace lively and still gave us more than enough to consider. Were we to do this or another tour again, we would most definitely ask for Beatriz!
The Prado Museum was mesmerizing. We lost sense of time, after our guided tour concluded, we ended up wandering for hours longer. There is just so much to see. Our tour guide, Rosita, was incredible. She was enthusiastic and passionate about art, and the history behind the art, artists, and the country of Spain. Her knowledge and insights brought out a great deal of perspective and backstory that really enriched our enjoyment of art pieces she emphasized. There were main hall pieces, but also side trips and perspectives of lesser pieces that were very interesting. As we concluded, she was great about suggesting other areas to visit (both within and outside the Prado). Terrific tour!
I had the most amazing tour of the Prado with Rosita…she provided a thoughtful blend of art knowledge in relation to Spain’s history along with her thoughtful curation of the culture. Thank you so much for your time!!!
The Prado was incredible. So many wonderful pieces of art. This was even better because of our wonderful tour guide Rosita. She was so knowledgeable about the art, the artist and the history. The tour covers all the important parts of the museum. Rosita enjoyed sharing her wisdom, and made sure we saw all the highlights and more.
Absolutely incredible tour! Jaime curated a really cohesive narrative. We loved his choice of artwork and really appreciated the artistic and historical context that he added to the tour.
Jaime was a great guide. I had been to the Prado years ago without a guide and was overwhelmed in the past. This time, he made the highlights come alive — I will remember these paintings forever!
Jake C from the UK was great! Very knowledgeable and informative! We learned a great deal about the history of Spain as well as the art techniques
Jake was an incredible tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable with art history and history in general. Jake was very patient with all of our questions, was extremely accommodating, and expertly led our family through the Prado. He covered an amazing amount of ground in a relatively short period of time and we were completely satisfied. I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Michele was WONDERFUL. We learned so much and he inspired us to dive deeper into exploring art! He is a 5 star your guide for sure!
Michele was Amazing!! We did a small group tour of the Prado and it was tremendous. It ended up being just the four of us. We learned so much and really got to see the museum.
Terrific guide who knew how to navigate the crowds so we could see the great works up close. He knew the paintings and artists and placed each in context. Very informative and worthwhile.
Sergio communicated meeting location and started the tour promptly. He obviously knew what he was talking about and answered every question. Can’t say enough. I love the semi-private tours
My husband and I visited Madrid in September 2024 and joined a group tour with Babylon Tours. We were fortunate to have Sean as our guide, and he was absolutely fantastic. He gave us a thorough and insightful tour of the Prado Museum, sharing a wealth of knowledge about art history in a way that was both engaging and enjoyable. Sean’s passion for the subject really came through, and his delightful personality made the experience not only educational but truly fun. We wholeheartedly recommend Babylon Tours—and especially Sean—and will definitely look them up again for future tours. :)
Michele was an amazing tour guide! Very kind, funny, and knowledgeable about the paintings. Able to provide insight on every question we asked, and showed us a large percentage of the museum in our time together.
Being in the Prado before it opened is the highlight of my visit in Madrid. Isabel was a fantastic guide. I learned so much.
Superb guide in Isabella; knowledge incredible , joyous in delivery - simply the best way to see The Prado. You won’t regret it.
We all loved this tour of the Prado Museum that we took with Isabel from Babylon Tours. All three of us- my husband and myself, and our teenage granddaughter thought Isabel was an amazing guide. My husband and I have taken many dozens of tours and travelled the world for the past 15 years, and I can honestly say that Isabel is one of the top guides we have ever used. If you have the chance to take this tour, I recommend it most highly. You will love this special experience!
Isabell is both charismatic and knowledgeable. She obviously knows art history and delivers it in a very relatable way. I could follow her around Prado for days.
Isabella was amazing, so knowledgeable and passionate about a number of artists in the Prado, she made the tour so worthwhile.
Because I have visited the Prado before I decided to book a first-time guided tour . ( This was because I am now older …..in my 70s…..and don’t want to spend time looking for rooms or exhibits that are more difficult to locate !) I opted for a smaller group ( max. 8) and a date / time that suited us and was lucky that our group was actually much smaller than 8 and that made for easier moving around the museum ( and less opportunity to get stuck with an art-know-it-all who monopolises the tour! ) We had a lovely tour: Alexander V. With Babylon Tours ( thru TripAdvisor ) has a degree in art history, loves his work and speaks 4 languages ( including completely fluent English ) Of course it’s more expensive , but it was absolutely wirth it !
David was a great guide. He shared so much detailed information about not only the paintings and the artists, but also the historical and social context as well.
Our tour guide, Jake, made our family visit to the immense Prado museum both informative and digestible during the 2.5 hours we spent there. He provided great insight, context and perspective on the many important works of art and artists we saw. The museum is well worth the visit but I couldn’t imagine tackling it with our group of six ranging in ages from 11-59 without the help of an experienced pro like Jake. Thank you!
Isabella, our guide, was AMAZING!. This might have been my favorite art tour ever. Our guide knew everything, provided so much historical context to each work of art, and was very easy to talk too.
Jake was a great guide, very knowledgeable, patient and super kind and polite. I absolutely recommend him, very much worth the experience.
We were fortunate to have a private guided tour of the Prado Museum with Angel, Babylon Tours. Angel is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about art history and the Prado. He reached out numerous times the day before and morning of to ensure we could find the meeting place. He ran over his allotted time and would have kept going accept I reached my mental capacity to take in any more information. He taught us about artists like Bosche (Bosco) and so much more. The best guided museum tour I've experienced. Delightful.
A brilliant tour of the Prado and the highlight of our trip to Madrid. Our semi-private tour turned out to be just the two of us so a memorable, bespoke experience conducted by Jake. Jake’s in depth description of each exhibit was set not only in the specific historical context of the period but brought to life by the biographical detail of the artist. This created an environment whereby we were able to have a lively and informative discussion which resulted in a very satisfying visit. We would certainly request Jake should we return to Madrid and take another tour.
Great experience and incredible guide. We much enjoyed and learned a lot! Our guide, Angel, shared a wealth of knowledge and stories in a most enjoyable and humorous way.
The museum and the art exhibited there is incredible! Our guide was amazing! He led us through centuries of artists and styles of painting. He shared stories of a few of the most famous artists that have works in the museum.
We did a semi-private tour that ended up being private, lucky us! Alex our guide was simply the best guide we have ever had through all our travels. Alex made our experience amazing with meaningful insight into art and art history along with being extremely personable. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the 2-1/2 hours we spent together. Muchas Gracias !! Our favorite tour of our entire trip!
Seeing the Prado Museum for the first time with guide Angel was perfect. So vast, this museum could be overwhelming but Angel distilled the viewing down to the most important paintings that best represented the most important periods in art history. His knowledge is comprehensive and he explained clearly what was being looked at and why it is significant. Could not ask for better in a guide—or a better guide.
Almu was a wonderful and engaging guide! We learned so much from her about the art and the history of Madrid as well. Thank you!
Knowledgable, answered our questions, great insight on the masterpieces and artists. Highly recommend our guide, Jaime.
David was such a wonderful, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide. He has super useful reference book about the history of Madrid and of different paintings. We appreciated his passion for the art at Museo del Prado and we learned a lot from him! Thank you David!!!
Our guide Ana was an arts graduate and qualified local guide whose enthusiasm and knowledge of the museum and the paintings made a most enjoyable and informative visit. She concentrated on the Spanish art but was flexible when we wanted to linger over certain subjects. Well worth the expense, a top class way to spend a morning at the Prado. Thank you!
Beatriz was phenomenal! She was a history teacher and knew tons of great facts. Fun. Highly recommend.
