Sara was a wonderful guide! She gave an excellent and thorough tour of the museum. She was very knowledgeable and had very interesting facts to share regarding all of the works of art and time periods in which they were created. She also made it an interactive tour with asking us what we saw and incorporating our viewpoints into the tour. We loved every minute and highly recommend!

Sarah was wonderful. She walked us through the galleries to give us background and context to understand and appreciate Cubism. When we finally got to the Guernica painting, it was just so very impactful. Super guide!!!!

This was my second tour with Sara, and honestly, she remains one of the most talented guides I've ever had. Her style is deeply personalized — the points where she chooses to stop and the specific artworks she uses to illustrate an idea are always well chosen, making everything she explains genuinely stick. Beyond her storytelling talent, Sara has a real gift for breaking down complicated ideas into simple, accessible ones, helping the group grasp not just the artwork itself but the thinking behind it. Reina Sofia is almost entirely devoted to Picasso, and Cubism isn't always the easiest movement to connect with — but from the moment I saw Sara, I knew the visit would be worthwhile, and it absolutely was. I'd highly recommend Reina Sofia, with a guide like Sara, even to art lovers who aren't typically drawn to contemporary art — it's a genuinely mind-opening experience.

Isobel was the most amazing guide I have ever had in a gallery and I would thoroughly recommend that ANYBODY who visits Madrid (and is thinking about going to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía) actually comes and books this tour. I learnt so much about Spanish history and culture in the space of a few hours, something that a documentary or a book cannot quite do as efficiently. Isobel is extremely knowledgeable and engaging!

We booked the Picasso Experience tour at the Reina Sofía Museum with David, and it was absolutely incredible. David is a fantastic guide who brings history to life. What we loved most was the structure of the tour. Saving the Guernica for the very end was a genius choice. By exploring his earlier works first, we were able to see exactly how Picasso influenced and helped other artists, and how his own style and life evolved leading up to his ultimate masterpiece.

Our guide, Isabel, was exceptional—deeply knowledgeable in both art and history, yet she explained complex concepts in a way that felt accessible and engaging rather than academic or dry. What made this tour special wasn’t just the focus on Picasso himself, but Isabel’s ability to draw fascinating parallels between his work and that of his contemporaries. We gained a much richer understanding of how these artists influenced one another creatively, which added layers of meaning to pieces we might have otherwise overlooked. Logistically, everything went smoothly. Booking was easy, and the pacing was perfect—not rushed, but efficient enough to keep us engaged. The length of the tour was just right, allowing us to take in everything without feeling overwhelmed. If you’re visiting the museum, I can’t recommend this guided tour highly enough. An exceptional experience to truly understand Picasso’s legacy and the enormous historical and artistic importance of *Guernica*. The entire tour revolves around Picasso’s work, his artistic evolution, and his impact on modern art, which makes the visit to the Reina Sofía Museum far more meaningful and engaging. The explanation of *Guernica* was undoubtedly the highlight of the experience. The guide managed to convey not only the meaning of the painting, but also the political, emotional, and symbolic context behind every detail. After hearing the explanation, you see the masterpiece with completely different eyes. Highly recommended for anyone interested in Picasso, Spanish history, and contemporary art. A fascinating and extremely well-guided visit.

No show guide- QR code failed to function so had to purchase tickets again - when called they said the tour had left without us but we did not see them-

We were at the designated location from Tripadvisor/Viator 20 minutes before the tour was supposed to start at 10:00 on 8/10 at (the main entrance. At 10:10 someone rings and says that we are not present and that the tour has started. Suspect that Viator/the guide has a meeting point at the new entrance to Reina Sofia. It was a big disappointment because we even checked the meeting place based on Tripadvisor's listing the day before.

I could not do the experience because the guy I thought was the guide told me he was not from Viator, that he worked on his own. Regrettable!!!

Extremely positive experience. Our guide created the right pathos and recounted Picasso's formative journey and the events that influenced him up to the culmination of seeing Guernica, Picasso's masterpiece. Money very well spent. A choice I would make again
