The first part of the tour which is Madrid is a joke. They take you to a few streets for like 2 hours and that's it. Total waste of time. Don't take the Madrid tour. The second part Toledo is better. It is a beautiful city and the tour is very informative and interesting; however, I have never seen a tour guide more disinterested than this guy Jorge. My god, we had to put coins in him to get him to move or talk. He could not care less if someone fell behind, or had questions, or anything. He was checked out. I think he has been doing this for over 20 years so he was fed up. Time for him to retire and allow new people to take over. Overall an OK tour.I would not highly recommend it.
Average tour. Just sit in the bus and go around the city. No stop anywhere except a coffee shop and your designated drop off point. It would be much better if you take the hop on hop off service.
Tour guide was great! Everything was superb! It was a great experience! My husband and I arrived 15 minutes early because our tickets said to do so, but when we go there, apparently, our tour left already, so we ran with the woman to their parking garage in hopes of catching the tour , which we did! Thank god, but you should just make sure you get there 1/2 hour early and NOT 15 minutes like our tickets indicated.... If we missed this, we would have been devastated ! Luckily, Julia Travels did everything in their power to get us on that bus!

Great tour and a quick way to know more about Madrid if you don't have much time. The second part of the tour in Toledo was awesome.

the Panoramic Madrid Sightseeing Tour was worthwhile because it took us to interesting parts of the city, such as the business district, that we would not have seen otherwise. The tour guide had a pretty strong accent, however, and wasn't very friendly. Furthermore, the stop at the Hard Rock Cafe for toilets and drinks was something of a rip-off. Most people thought they would get complimentary coffee, but after waiting in line were only eligible for soft drinks. So the majority went ahead and paid for coffee. Combined with those who bought Hard Rock T-shirts brought some profit to the Cafe, but not much to us.

Toledo, on the other hand, had an outstanding guide, and Toledo should not be missed.

Teledo trip was great ,But madrid trip was boring ,just waste of time.

We enjoyed our trip to Toledo. And our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The stop at the sword producing shop on our way back, I thought it was boring.

Poor communication at Julia's Travel. Spoke more then twice the time in Spanish as opposed to English.

Somewhat difficult to understand the bilingual guide. Also, took extra time, as this was a bilingual tour, not only in English. We could have done without the souvenir stops, and spent some more time at some of the sites. At half a day, it was a good overview of Toledo, but not educational enough.

A fantastic day of touring, I would highly recommend it. The morning tour guide of Toledo was very polished in both English and Spanish. She was very informative and respectful of the sites that we visited. As described in the brochure, it is a very busy and active tour of Toledo one not to miss.
The afternoon tour of Madrid was great. We had a different guide who was also informative. This tour gave us a very good understanding of the layout of Madrid. It gave us a bird's eye view of the sites that were available. We could then select the sites that we wanted to go back and visit in the following few days that we had left to tour Madrid.

Very good all round tour.
The visit to Toledo was excellent, and the tour of madrid was very informative showed off the fabulous city.
Good value.

Toledo was a wonderful place to go but I would use a different tour company. Our tour consisted of three full buses and started 40 minutes late. We were asked to be there 15 minutes early so if the 15 minutes are added to the time delay it started 55 minutes late because the tour company was waiting for one group. It would have made sense to let two buses start or allow more time to use the restroom (which the agency does not provide). After the late start the tour was offered in two languages and was unorganized so each stop took much longer than necessary. The afternoon of panoramic sightseeing consists of sitting on a bus and looking out the windows and hearing brief information about buildings as you drive past each with a stop to Hard Rock Cafe five minutes before the end of the trip for a bathroom stop and soft drink. Overall, I would suggest a tour of Toledo but if I were to go again I would go to Toledo on my own or use a different tour company. We've taken over 10 tours with Viator and enjoyed all the other tours but this was a huge let down.

The guide showed no enthusiasm for what she was doing. She seldom smiled and took every possible opportunity for a cigarette break. We were looking forward to Toledo but left feeling that we had just been "herded around" and without any real feeling of what it was like. Madrid tour was ok but nothing special. The transportation was comfortable.

Great tour and guide. Lots of walking so be prepared. Lovely city!

Toledo is well worth the trip. Long bus ride through Madrid.

Toledo was such a special place and the guide for that was wonderful. The second part(afternoon) of the day, the panoramic Madrid sightseeing tour we should have skipped. Our guide was a young man who was not so great. We stopped at a soccer stadium for a 5 minute break to stand in the parking lot, crazy! We received the same tour the next day with our Madrid City Sightseeing and Royal Palace Tour, and Isabel was terrific.

Great tour. I had concerns early with the Toledo half day trip, as it seemed to be another European rip off tour. Four people who don't know, a tour in Europe generally involves a bus ride to an Uncles shop were they get commission and then off to mums restauraunt were you pay overprice for tourist food and only around 3 hours of the day visiting what you paid for. It started this way as we went to a rubbish tourist shop for a 30 min 'rest stop', but teledo wasn't a bad place to visit. As always, tour companies take you to churches, even though only 20% of the group would be religious, as it costs them nothing, we just left and joined the group 20 mins later each time they did this. However the last tour of Madrid had the best tour guide we had all Europe, usefull information, showed you the best places and was funny.

The trip to Toledo was excellent. The guide was knowledgable and managed to keep the group together most of the time! The afternoon Panoramic tour of Madrid was spoiled by a road closure and a traffic accident which held up the coach. The visit to Hard Rock Cafe was the least interesting part. The guide had a tendency to repeat her rehearsed script too many times, even when we passed the same place for the third time!!

AMAZING!!! If you like architecture, history, artistry and a little excercise you are going to love this excursion. Best half day spent in Madrid, Paris, or Berlin.

We were very dissatisfied with this tour. Combination of majority of spanish speaking group with a few english speaking tourists is not working very well, the trip was very short and time was really wasted on repeating everything in 2 languages. For such a beautiful historical city as Toledo is this trip is just too short, no personal time at all. Panoramic Madrid tour was not bad by itself but the guide was not interesting and english was far from good. We were really dissappointed.

Very nice tour, would only suggest to allow at least 10 min of shopping! It was very, very important to me to get a t-shirt for my husband and I from Toledo Spain since we are originally from Toledo Ohio!!! We actually wore our Toledo ohio shirts!!! If there is any way you can make this still happen, we would be sooooooooo appreciative!!! You could charge it to my account!!! PLEASE!!!! We NEED a large and 2-xxlg Thank You in advance--Hopefully!

Stopped for pictures on panoramic tour! Would have liked more time in Toledo and opportunity to shop.

The half day trip to Toledo was very good and informative. We really enjoyed the tour. Sadly the same can’t be said for the Panoramic Madrid sightseeing tour which really was a waste of time. We drove quickly past the Madrid sights with no real commentary. We stopped three times during the tour one at the Real Madrid stadium which interested only 4 people on our tour the the bill fighting arena followed by a stop at he Hard Rock Cafe for a soft drink (not really of historical value). I think skip the sightseeing tour and do the hop on hop off tour much better value and you certainly learn a lot more about the history of Madrid.

If you're strapped for time, this is an easy way to see Madrid and Toledo.

The tour was well conducted and professionally run. It would have been good if the tour was conducted entirely in one language rather than mixing people speaking two different languages just to increase the numbers on the tour.
The city tour was comprehensive but would have been nice to be able to at least do photo stops at more of the places visited rather than just a swift drive past.

Very good but did not like the tour director she was most unpleasant

The local guide Anna lived in her own world. She ran through Toledo without ever looking back at the group. We asked her repeatedly to slow down so people could take some pictures. What ever we said, she just ignored the group.

I really enjoyed Toledo. I would have preferred to have more time and do the full day trip but it was full. This half day was a nice taste of it and the drive around Madrid sights was interesting too.

Wow - what can I say about this tour except it could be the worst part of our trip to Spain. In theory it sounded like a perfect tour but we had a less than enthusiastic tour guide, Anna. As another member of the tour group put it, “I know she isn't dead because I can see her lips moving.” In the past on Viator tours we are allowed time to explore the city a bit on our own but this was not the case in Toledo and it seemed like the most important stop was the factory selling jewelry on the way out. Note, you will not see the inside of the Cathedral on this tour. For the tour around Madrid, because we had the same guide, we jumped off the bus at the first opportunity and walked back to our hotel. Anna has made me reconsider using Viator.

While Toledo was a wonderful place to visit, our tour guide, Ana, was not so great. She added nothing exciting or interesting to the tour which was very disappointing. We were so disappointed to find out that we would have the same tour guide for the second part of our tour (Madrid sightseeing tour) that we left the tour after 30 minutes.

Not enough time in Toledo--some shops were closing up!

My advice would be to take the full day Toledo tour, is much more interesting and you get to see the inside of the cathedral. The panoramic tour of Madrid isn't really worth. A much much better alternative is to take the three walking tours from the main tourist office in PlazaMayor called Essential Madrid. There's a discount if you buy all 3 and you get the chance to see many buildings and monuments without the rush of the bus.

This tour was excellent!! the visit to Toledo was great! It is really fast, but it's the best way to enjoy this town if you are short of time. Then, during the afternoon the Madrid city tour was excellent as well as we had time to take photos at historic places. Totally worth the money!

Our guide in Toledo was very knowledgable and took us to many sites. The panorama of Madrid was a great way to get to know the entire city not just the city center.

This was a great choice of something to do on your first day in Madrid. The historic town of Toledo was great and the tour guide was just so knowledgeable and spoke very good English.

And after a nice lunch the Madrid sightseeing tour was alsa great way to get your bearings and see all the major places in the City.

We liked the city of Toledo very much, but we were not excited about the tour and the guide. We were promised to have English speaking guide. In our tour we had bi-lingual guide, but Spanish explanations were more longer than English ones. In addition when it comes to English in more cases we already passed the spot the guide was talking about. In other words that kind of giude make no sense. Later on we figured out that it was only 5 spanish speaking people in our bus, all other 20-25 people were English speaking.

Toledo is very beautiful and the trip is very nice. The panoramic sightseeing of Madrid is very good but too quick. The local operator is organized.

Good, the guide for toledo did the tour in spanish (longer), english, french too much is too much...one language is much better... She didn't feel that she had the responsability to check if everybody was in the bus. She indicate to take a taxi to a point if we get lost...She left the sites without checking...
the madrid tour was perfect

Overall it was a very good tour. More details should be included in tour description. A lot of walking up hills is required for Toledo -- should be prepared for this. This tour is actually two separate tours with a break in between. The staff working in the office at the tour operator were rude. Wish the guides were more informative. Were not impressed with this tour company.

Places we went inside Toledo are great and the church was stunning. However two many spanish speaking people in the group and only little English translation for our minority English group. We could obtain more info on the scenes from brochures than the tour guide.

Great trip, good guide and fully met my expectations. Would recommend it highly!
BC

Toledo is a beautiful town. Would lhave liked a little more free time to shop - the only opportunity was a few minutes at the end in a factory that made jewelry.

A fantastic tour and a must do for all fist timers. Toledo was an excellent city to visit and the tour guide was also very good. The madrid city tour was very informative and usefull for our stay. We got dropped off at the Real madrid station- also a must do for 1st timers.

This was a very well worthwhile trip. Toledo is stunning. The guide was a bit wear. The Madrid tour was not as exciting but the guide was excellent. I particularly liked that she shared aspects of current Madrid culture and society. Very engaging.

We did the tour without a guide but the bus guide did not give the most important information that was where we are on the map. To there the q to return to a meeting point without knowing where it was on the map. That was tense. Everything else was very good.
I hired only the transfer to Toledo Civitatis company who outsourced with Trandporte Julia. because the excursion was 55€ c/u while the transfer only 15 and we were 3 pax. The beginning of it without problem with an experienced guide, very old, cultured and respectful but with Very bad ways to those who will only hire the transfer and not the full tour. Arrived in Toledo we descended all passengers staying as a meeting point in the same place five hours later. My surprise was that at the time and place indicated neither the microphone nor the guide were present. That is where my concern began but then the microphone became present with all the passengers of the tour and the guide. They obviously changed YOUR meeting point without notifying us in any way and if they do The way they work, they should notify tourists. Cheers.
We booked this tour as one of the activities you could choose after purchasing the i Venture Madrid card. For an extra charge of 20€p.P we booked the half day tour with guide. Organization was good. Circumference mediocre. Driving around by bus, short stops to take pictures and shopping at predetermined gift shops. Routes that had to be run resulted in delays in the entire process, as the rather elderly audience struggled somewhat with steps and gradients. The guide was extremely difficult to understand for someone who has upscale English skills but is not a native speaker due to the strong accent and high speech speed. I would recommend young people to choose the free tour.

Todo muy lindo y los guias muy didácticos, conocimosvy aprendimos mucho.

Maravilhosa viagem a Toledo. Guia super profissional. Lugar maravilhoso!
