Amazing tour! Our guide even arranged a free range pork tenderloin from pigs who only ate acorns. Restaurants were cozy and guide supremely knowledgeable.

The best tour of our entire Spain trip, and a night we’ll never forget! My husband Joey and I joined three other couples for this tour with Andres’, and it was honestly one of the highlights of our vacation. Our guide Andres’ was amazing. His knowledge of the area, the restaurants, the food, and the wine added so much to the experience, and his enthusiasm made everything even more enjoyable. He even brought a couple of bottles of wine from his own cellar to share with us! That personal touch says so much about the care he puts into creating a special evening for his guests. By the end, it felt like a night out with friends. We were all having such a wonderful time that he stayed with us afterward, which made an already fantastic evening even more memorable. If you’re considering booking with Walks of Spain, do it! This was so much more than a food and wine tour! It was a warm, personal experience that we’re still talking about. Five stars hardly feels like enough!

This is the second time I’ve joined Andres on his wine & tapas tour. This is a fun and educational experience. Andres took us to 4 bars and we had some tapas & wine in each location. The tapas were delicious , from cheese to amazing cantabrian anchovies. The wine pairings are just perfect. You also get a dessert ( postre) at the end of the evening. In addition to the tascas (tapas bars) , it’s also a cute little tour of old Madrid. Andres is a wonderful host, & I can’t recommend this tour enough. You will really miss out on a marvelous evening if you skip this tour! I can’t wait to do it again!!

We were so pleased we selected THIS small group tapas & wine tour with Andrés. He has been doing this for decades and provided us with a fabulous tour of Old Madrid & the Latina area sampling delicious tapas and excellent wines. His passion, knowledge and insight of local foods, wines and history was greatly appreciated. He also provided other great dining recommendations.

Noemi was a wonderful guide that kept us engaged. She took us to some amazing places, we enjoyed every single one and even returned to one restaurant for a full meal. We would've gone to more, but we only had two more days and already had plans. Noemi was very professional and we ended up having an amazing time with the rest of the group. She was able to pay attention to each one of our group members and gave us great recommendations. Thanks for being so accommodating and courteous.

Amazing tour with Andrei. We visited four unique restaurants/bars and tasted both amazing food and drinks specific to Spain. Andrei’s knowledge of the food,drinks, and history of the region made the tour so much fun. This tour was the highlight of our time in Madrid.

This was a superb experience. Andres was an excellent guide, very personable, very knowledgeable, showed us to parts of the city we probably never would have found on our own. He helped us to understand where foods that we ate came from, how they were made and made us want to go back to each and every one of the places that we went to. I would highly recommend this excursion for anyone who wants to get a true feel for the foods and wines of Madrid.

It was just alright not my favorite tour. While the tour guide knew everyone’s name, the entire experience felt very fly by the seat of your pants. He gave very little history on anything. It’s like he was with us but not.. our group had 2 ladies with gluten allergies and there were no options ready for them even though they had advise this upon booking. One of the ladies didn’t even drink and he didn’t even have an option for here yet it was also pre-said. While I personally don’t have a food allergies I was bothered by his lack of to this. He had a very oh well type of attitude about it. One tavern was even closed obviously he had confirmed none of the stops.

Andres took us to four culinary “experiences” … that is the best way to describe the evening. We would not have discovered them on our own.

We had an outstanding experience with our guide Andres! He was engaging, and knowledgeable on many fronts; wine, tapas and Spanish history. He also was fun! We went authentic restaurants popular with locals and tasted a wide variety of Spanish wines. I would recommend this experience to anyone!

Besides being a little tardy (he did advise me) it was a great experience. Andres was entertaining and showed us things only locals know. I was especially grateful that he improvised for my diet when he didn’t have to as I was ready to pass on that particular tasting. Small groups are the best. I recommend Andres.

This was a really fun and worthwhile tour! We had never been to Madrid so it was a great introduction to Old Madrid and the La Latina area. All the food and wine tastings were delicious! We were taken to very authentic restaurants and taverns, not tourist traps! As a matter of fact we have a friend living in Madrid who wanted to take us to the restaurant that was our last stop on the tour! The group was the perfect size to get to know everyone and enjoy the company for the evening. Andres is a very knowledgeable and entertaining guide! We highly recommend this tour!

Highly recommend Andres and his tour of the la Latina neighborhood for tapas and wine! The intimate group was the highlight, along with Andres’ sharing his knowledge of the local foods and his own wines! We especially enjoyed the conversations and getting to know the neighborhood - would do it again in a heart beat.

Small group there were only four of us plus Andres and from beginning to end the stories, the drinks and the tapas were beyond belief from the vermouth and the olives which were delectable to the final ice cream with macadamia nuts and raisin wine. best evening in Madrid

We had an excellent tour with Andres, it was probably one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurants/bars he took us to were superb with great food and made us really feel welcome. Andres was a great host, he took the time to get to know everyone. He really knew his stuff about he city and his wine knowledge was incredible. We were in a group of 7 people from around the world who all got along very well. Andres was a great guide, local to Madrid. His knowledge of the area, relationships with the restaurants we visited and colorful approach to our group was great. Tapas is a bit of a misnomer as we left the tour quite full!! We could not have been happier with our tour with Andres. The route and itinerary were convenient and well-planned, not only for the tastings but as a way to introduce us to places in Madrid we might not have found and understood on our own. Andres was thoroughly knowledgeable as a long time Madrid local and wine professional. Our group of 7 came to enjoy the collective experience quickly, in great part because Andres was friendly and congenial, and made us feel at ease in what were clearly local non-touristy spots. Next time in Madrid we’ll sign up again, and we’ll recommend the tour without hesitation.

Andres is a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about Madrid and the Spanish culture. His food and wine pairings were great. I had never considered Vermouth as a wine but it’s part of the culture of Madrid so it was great to learn about and try.

Andres was a great guide. The food selection was delicious and the drinks were paired perfectly and generous pours. Our group was 2 other couples. Walking distance and pace was perfect.

Andres was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide. He selected great food highlights and wine pairings. Walking between the 3 stops he pointed out some highlights. We thought it was funny that he would point out “this is the best place for…but that’s not where we are going “. Overall very enjoyable.

We had a fantastic food and wine tasting tour in Madrid with Andres. The restaurants and food selection were excellent, and his explanations of the history around the old town made the tour especially engaging. He was also very considerate, even stopping a taxi driver so we could return to our hotel easily.

What a great night in Madrid! Our guide Andres was lively, knowledgeable and a true pleasure to spend time with! The food and eateries were fantastic. The wine was well enjoyed while learning a little about wine and food in Spain. Andres was known and clearly respected everywhere we went. The amazing thing is that our group really connected with each other and at the end of the night I walked away feeling like I made new friends. As a solo traveler, I found this experience very rich. This is an excellent introduction to Spanish tapas and wine. Andres gave a very personalized tour of Spanish food. He even brought out wine from his private collection. This is definitely the best food we have eaten in Spain. Andres was also great at pointing out historical and architectural highlights of the city. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone visiting Madrid. Go hungry! You will have a lot of food and wine to enjoy.

We had a great time on this tour Andres is passionate about his combination of food, wine and location , and this comes across in abundance of the tour We experienced food, wines and venues we probably wouldn’t have without his guidance. We were in a group of four friends from the uk, and were lucky to be in a larger group of another 2 English and 2 Norwegian women whose English was better than mine! I feel the tour was enhanced by the group who were all up for a bit of banter as well as enjoying Andre’s tour. So thanks to Siv, Eva, Kate and Aaron. We thought this tour was god value and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The food and wines were delicious and we had more than enough to eat and drink

Fabulous walking tour with Andreas!!!!! I would sign up for this a second time if I were staying longer in Madrid. He chose the perfect restaurants to enjoy tapas and his wine selections were spot on. I enjoyed every minute of this tour, as did the friends I’m traveling with. Andreas is so nice and made us all feel comfortable very quickly. Don’t miss this tour!
