The Banksy museum is fantastic!!! I am usually a fan of traditional art and I admit that graffiti has taken me awhile to appreciate. Banksy’s street art makes me smile and is so enjoyable. I had just come from a horrible dining experience and Banksy’s art help rid me of anger/frustration. I saw his genius satirical paintings of Millet, Monet and Van Gogh and these made me appreciate his art. His sense of humor is sublime. He really is a true artist. Banksy’s street art has meaning and purpose. It has been the only museum that I wanted to immediately experience again which you can as the souvenir shop is next to entrance of museum and you don’t have to leave.
One hour guided tour and one hour selfed tour. Absolutely worth it !
A wonderful couple of hours in this thought provoking and very informative museum. If you are socially conscience then this is the museum for you. It far exceeded our expectations
A great alternative to historical art! I highly recommend it if you’re into modern or street art.
Loved seeing a number of Banksy items in the one place - consolidation. Background to each piece both informative and enlightening.
The experience was as if II was walking the streets where the graffiti art really is situated. The number of artworks was impressive.
Absolutely loved the Banksy Museum in Madrid! 🎨 Such an amazing experience and so well put together. The exhibitions were fascinating, creative, and really captured the spirit of Banksy’s work. The whole museum was thoughtfully designed and made for a brilliant visit. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Madrid! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It it very informative, different part of Madrid, I took a 148 bus - market stalls at the stop & then the exhibition, I loved it!
Amazing tour with Claudia! I learnt so much and enjoyed viewing this collection of replicas.
This was a really nicely done exhibit! The lighting and pacing was great. Claudia and Emanuela were super nice staff members, as well <3
Over 100 artworks, a very nice collection, with a lot of variety showing all Banksy's favorite themes. Really worth the visit. Take the guided tour if you can. We were guided by the lovely Nina and we enjoyed her knowledge and cultural passion.
Great museum of Banksy's work, a little out of the way from other Madrid attractions but worth the metro ride or walk. Is very descriptive and shows the range of work
Absolutely brilliantly done. Highly recommend
It was a cool museum to see some of banksys iconic work. It wasn’t too crowded and they had some set ups to show how the art was displayed in real life
A very interesting collection. the museum is spacious, well decorated giving the impression of being where the murals were painted.
My wife and I enjoyed this tour and want to go back! The only challenge was there was so much to see. Our guide was Nina. She is bilingual so my poor Spanish was no problem. She knew so much about Banksy and their work. I was impressed. After the tour we were welcomed to stay as long as we would like to spend more time looking at something that was not highlighted or to ponder our favorites.
Highly recommend- interesting
After three stops in Portugal and four days for a family wedding in Sevilla, we had no real expectations for Madrid other than "as long as we have to fly out of there anyway...". Wow! MADRID IS FANTASTIC! And the Banksy Museum was great - and a nice break from the heat. We walked through at a leisurely pace, not too busy on an early Thursday afternoon. Some of the art is hilarious, others moving and thought provoking.
To be honest, we were only slightly familiar with Banksy and mainly went to buy a souvenir shirt at the gift shop for my granddaughter, who is a budding artist. We happened to arrive just in time for the museum tour in English. Our guide, Emanuela, was very knowledgeable and entertaining and we came away with a new found appreciation of Banksy and his work. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend it!
Going to a Banksy museum is the definitive paradox of our time, paying a credit card ticket to see works that were born illegally on the street, criticizing capitalism and the commodification of art. By tucking his anti-establishment art into four walls with a gift shop as you leave is brilliant, the museum isn't destroying Banksy's message...
Excellent experience to see a whole collection of his work together. Well laid out and lots of room to view.
Brilliant. You don't know whether to laugh or cry. Best exhibition i have seen in a long time.
Very well set out exhibits, clearly labelled with relevant information about the artist and the context of the work Gift shop, obviously, but selling good quality merch. Toilet on site. No problem taking photos. Definitely worth the walk and the money.
Just walk through, read, absorb and enjoy. I want to be more positive … so I’m trying to meet the 100 word minimum
A really fantastic exhibit - laid out brilliantly and very interesting. We all loved it - kids and adults!
Excellent exhibition.. We booked Claudia as our English speaking tour guide- her insight into the background of all the installations really added value to the visit. Wish we had booked the screen painting experience too We got here early- and also managed a 20 minute walk down to the river.. well worth a visit too.
Nice exhibit on Banksy. Glad we were able to visit the museum. Takes a good full hour to go through, but plan on one hour and a half to fully appreciate the exhibit.
Great collection of Banksy art! Very insightful artist!
Amazing Museum Claudia was very knowledgeable and made tge tour interesting I left knowing so much more about the artist Bansky
My friends and I had a wonderful time visiting the Banksy Museum in Madrid. The museum itself was well structured and easy to move through and there was a comprehensive overview of Banksy’s work. I was particularly impressed by the Palestinian corner and the knowledge that our tour guide was able to provide around said work. Emanuela was well-spoken, attentive and able to provide context and answer questions in a succinct and informative manner. If you are able to go, I highly recommend you request her as your guide. A 10/10 experience.
the museum was amazing, also cheers to Emanuela, super kind girl rlly explained me everything about the museum
Incredible museum, moving, loved getting to know more Banksy and his art and revolutions with art. Highly recommend!! Don’t miss this in Madrid.
No trouble finding. Place was well keep. The setup gave an authentic feel of being in the urban environment where art was created.
Inspiring, informative, funny above all..love Banksys sense of irony, seeing objects with upsidedown view and injecting reality check. Wish the gift shop had included pamphlets /book on his work in Palestine and to rescue migrants. Excellent presentation in several languages
An amazing exhibition of Banksy's art, we thoroughly enjoyed it. It was both moving and thought provoking. A great way to spend a couple of hours.
Absolutely brilliant place. We got some amazing pictures would highly recommend a visit here 100 per cent. So glad we visited here. They have a gift shop at the end of the tour from which we got lots of presents for ourselves. The prices are really good too. Marta the Sales Assistant was super friendly and helpful. Definitely get your pic taken at the Photo Booth it only costs 4.50 such a great piece of memorabilia of our visit here. 14 euros entrance fee definitely worth it.
This is an excellent exhibit. There are tour guide options, but you can simply Google the various pieces to get the back story. Give yourself at least 60-90 minutes to enjoy without rushing. The majority of the pieces have a serious and often heart breaking theme. Very moving.
Nice place with new insights from the artist. However, the challenges of the world became closer and in a way the visit was a bit more impassioned than expected.
Great exhibition, well lit and spaced - thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommended xx very helpful staff, whole experience was joyful
I really enjoyed the exhibition! I do love art but don't really like art galleries as they're usually hot, stuffy and repetitive. However, I could go back here tomorrow! The work's amazing and there's alot more than expected!
You should visit it!!! Really nice experience. This is a museum that you should visit. Very polite and feiendly!!!!!!!!
Amazing place to visit! Highly recommended! Love his sarcasm and how he dares to expose his ideas through his artsy Must go if you are visiting Madrid!
Our family loved the Banksy exhibit! Our 5 and 3 year old especially loved the balloons and children everywhere! Recommend for families 🙂
Takes about an hour to have a good look around. Very interesting and thought provoking, I’d seen a lot of Banksy stuff in the media but didn’t realise the locations or thoughts behind the pieces. Reasonable entry price and well worth the money. A little ironic that a lot of the pieces target corporations manipulating the masses and commercialism’s destructive effect on society yet they’re charging fifteen euros for a coffee mug!!
This place is absolutely amazing one of the best and affordable museums in Madrid HIGHLY RECOMMENDS 🍉🍉🍉
I cannot recommend this place ENOUGH! I am a Banksy fan and as a Brit I have visited the London Banksy Exhibition twice. This place beats it hands down. What a great 'underground' setting that really sets off the artwork they recreate. I kept finding room after room and discovering several pieces I didn't even know existed. I love they provide a brief overview of the art and, for me, very importantly where it was painted/created. A good and not stupidly priced shop at the end too. If I had a bigger travel bag I would have bought a lot more. If they could pick this place up and drop it in London, it would be packed. I think they suffer by being slightly outside the core touristy areas but it is the only way to get a big place big enough to do it justice. It is 10 mins on the Metro from the Centre. Go visit this place even if you are remotely interested in Banksy artwork.
Claudia was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. She kindly had spent more than an hour showing me around. A fascinating tour! Thank you very much 🙏
This museum is beautifully curated. The concrete canvas was such a phenomenal experience. Have visited 3 Banksy museums and this one is by far my favorite
Really detailed insight into the mind of Banksy; including a lot of details for his earlier & lesser known work & passion projects. €14 entry. €4.5 to print a photo with the iconic balloon girl.
