It was so nice to have a guide and she was excellent. Can’t remember her name now. She was also my guide for a different tour the day before. She was a wealth of knowledge.

Deyvis did an outstanding job hitting the highlights of the Museum, keeping a good pace and giving us relevant details that tied the history to what we were seeing. Deyvis knowledge of both the content and techniques made his tour very enjoyable. I feel I saw the best pieces in a minimal amount of time.
We loved this tour. The guide had a thought out plan for what she wanted to show us and talk about. It was so much better getting information about the paintings rather than wandering aimlessly, not knowing what we were looking at. There was time after the tour to wander.
Enjoyable visit but be aware “beat the queue” only means you enter through another entrance. In our case - this meant being in line behind a school trip of 100 teenagers all with backpacks that had to be taken off them before they could be let in!
Glad El Prado has learned lessons from the Louvre chaos and banned all photos and videos inside the galleries. Now you can actually see the paintings up close and personal without being jostled by selfie-taking tourists. Temi (hope I spelled that correctly) was an excellent guide, offering history of the various artists and their benefactors. Most striking to me were the paintings by Velasquez, Goya, and El Greco. An excellent way to spend a leisurely and informative afternoon.
We had an outstanding tour of the Prado Museum. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and brought the museum’s masterpieces to life with fascinating historical context, artistic insights, and engaging stories. His passion for art and deep understanding of the collection made the experience both educational and enjoyable. The tour was well-paced, informative, and tailored perfectly to the group. We learned far more than we would have by exploring on our own, and we left with a much greater appreciation for the Prado and its incredible works. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madrid. Thank you for a memorable experience!
It was informative and just enough to give us a good feel of museum highlights. So much better than trying to do such a large museum on our own
Fast paced and insightful. The guide Christina was very passionate about the paintings and the magnificence of the Prado.
This is the best way to see the museum, with a very knowledgeable guide! Bennie was amazing, showed us so many paintings in such detail and from different angles, how the particular paintings should have been viewed.
Very competent guide. With his educational background, Benni gave a very good insight to the history and details of the museum and a good handful of artpieces.
Very knowledgeable guide. He is art historian. That makes a guided tour useful. Focusing on a good handful art pieces.
Museum is large with lots of paintings worth seeing. Best to go with a guide who can provide information. Our tour guide Maria was a very good guide who showed us the important paintings and provided great insight into them.
Tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to view art that defined the Prado. I would recommend the tour to anyone.
Excellent experience where you can see and feel the times of the past. The talent and passion of the storyteller of the past is felt and lived through their painting. This is one like no other experience.
When your time is restricted and want valuable insight on museum highlights, take a guided tour with a company
Especially helpful having headphones to hear our guide. We toured the Prado a few years ago and I truly recommend a tour guide sharing her wealth of information versus touring on your own.
The Prado Museum was fine, but unknowingly we purchased our tickets through “My Top Tours”. We bought 4 tickets, then the site toggled to Spanish, we ended up buying another set of 4 tickets. The audio is through your own phone, not headsets. Needless to say, they will not refund the additional set of 4 tickets. Buyer be ware!!! Be sure to purchase through the Museum website! I thought I was careful, but somehow MyTopTours” website superseded the museum website when I went to purchase the tickets!!! You have to keep checking to make sure it is not through a 3rd party.
Our tour guide was exceptional and could explain the paintings in great detail. Easy to understand. Well organized. Learned much more than if we had gone on our own.
The guide did a wonderful job of explaining the art, its history and its significance I have nothing more to say
Fantastic for people who love art. Paintings completed 700 years ago. Beautiful building. Clean and well maintained. Sculptures from early Rome. Eclectic beauty.
We had a great tour with Benny at the Prado Museum and pre purchased the optional tapas with the tour. He put the location to go for tapas in my phone stating just mention IBE Tours and show your ticket. They had no idea what we were talking about when we arrived after showing them our tickets and mentioning IBE Tours. We paid for our glass of wine because it was an underwhelming place already and enjoyed the rest of our night somewhere else. While sitting there we sent a text through the viator app to try get help and were answered the following day we did not go and the manager was on duty the whole time. Basically we were lying and go fly a kite. Don't get the optional tapas
Very disappointing guided trip through the Prado. It took us 45 minutes to get in and get our headsets; the guide rushed through the tour in an attempt to fit in as much as possible; he was hard to hear and understand.
Our guide was great. Easy to find, started on time, walked us through a small part of the museum to show the highlights and then let us tour on our own. Hubby and I had to leave right after and wasted a lot of time trying to get out which was hilarious but caused us to miss our next appointment. Not the guides fault though
Guide was very knowledgeable and informative. Enjoyed seeing the highlights and explanations about artists, pieces and history.
Amazing gallery, with relatively limited time it was great to gave a knowledgeable guide to ensure we visited key works over 2 hrs. Highly recommend having g a guide.
The beauty of the museum and it’s grounds. The art pieces and our guides’s explanations were so informative.
My wife and I had booked a private, guided tour of the Prado. It would be a 2 hr tour in English. The guide met us as agreed at the place and time agreed. The guide’s name was Jose and he gave us an absolutely amazing tour at the right pace with the right depth of information and was very responsive to questions. Jose was passionate and clearly knowledgeable about what we saw and both my wife and I felt enriched by all the insights Jose was able to share. We both highly recommend this tour !
Great guided tour with Alex. Very passionate and knowledgeable- thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend.
Excellent tour! The guide was great--he was very informative. The museum is amazing. A must-see for sure! You will love it!
The tour guide was very good at knowledge of history and interpretation of art pieces. We are very happy about his service.
A magnificent experience. Our guide, Christina, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She explained everything and showed us the main masterpieces of the museum and explained everything about them. Highly recommended!
Our tour of The Prado was fantastic! Our guide, Christina was so knowledgeable, she should be teaching an art history class. I felt like she did a great job of highlighting specific works in the museum for us, and giving information on each piece and the artist. I think if we had done the tour on our own we would have just gotten lost in how big the museum is. Overall a really nice expeirence.
We were at the meeting point at the time of the booking and the guide was not there Explained to viator team but Got no refund
He was very knowledgeable on all the paintings and the area. He also was very engaging and helped us understand the different eras of art.
Very good fly over of the Prado. To navigate this museum alone would be overwhelming and difficult. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the artists and the historical context. Tour was quite large (30 people) and museum was crowded but we had earphones and were able to both hear and experience the works. Was good to do a late afternoon tour as we still had two hours to enjoy the rest of the museum on our own.
Fantastic art. Definitely a must to see. She was super knowledgeable about each piece. I wouldn’t have had such a great experience without her knowledge!
Rocio was amazing! She hit on all of the important points of the museum and paused for questions on the way. She was funny and informative throughout the 2 hours. The only thing I would say is the meeting point is confusing. The link to the specific meet up is incorrect and takes you to a place a few minutes away from the actual meeting point. We almost missed our tour because of this but were able to ask around and eventually catch up to the group. Other than that this tour was great!
Our tour was fantastic! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and I can’t imagine touring without the guide.
The tour guide (Benny) was very informative and was clearly passionate about the Prado and the art inside. Got so much more by having a guide. Highly recommend.
Our guide Amanda was wonderful. So knowledgeable about art history, interpretation of an art piece, or how it was restored (well or not!) She was an excellent speaker and pulled everybody into her art stories, making us gasp or laugh at certain times. We loved Prado so much more with her guiding us.
We loved the experience. Rocio, our guide, made an amazing job providing a lot of information in a very entertaining way. We had a great time, and learned a lot. A guided tour is worth it when you have a knowledgable guide. There are a lot of art and history details that you will miss if going on your own. Highly recommended
The Prado Museum tour guide provides an enriching and well-organized experience, highlighting the museum's vast collection of European art. The guide's deep knowledge and engaging storytelling bring to life masterpieces by artists such as Velázquez, Goya, and El Greco. The pacing felt a little rushed due to time constraints but overall our guide was able to make the most of the tour. Overall, the tour guide greatly enhances the visit, making it both educational and enjoyable.
Due to airline delays we could not make our tour. We forfeited the money for the six of us. I understand the refund policy but a small refund would have been nice but rules are rules. I learned never to book something like this on a day when you travel.
Vanessa of the Amigo tours group was just amazing. She was on time, arranged our listening devices and answered all questions politely and professionally. But most importantly, was an expert in the art she chose to show. We went into various rooms and learned about the history of the artist, the time and the methods. I knew some of each of the pieces she chose but went away amazed at how much more there was to learn. Thank you Vanessa for an amazing day.
Met for our tour at 10am… if you can, go for an early slot before all the crowds fill in. I booked the small guided tour, and it was just us 4 which was great. Monroe made an excellent guide, very informative and interested in all the art and history. Well worth booking, and thank you Monroe
There was no skip the line, we had to wait in line for an hour in the rain like everyone else. And since the tour started late it was too late for the tapas. Total disaster of a tour.
Excellent tour guide with just enough detail and history of each featured artist. It would take a few days to truly take it all in.
Great guide and museum! The only issue was that the museum was extremely noisy and it made it very difficult to hear the guide even with earpiece on.
A basic "masterpiece" tour but done very well. The guide was knowledgable and friendly, showed enthusiasm, and a genuine desire to share her expertise.
I am very much disappointed that after being a loyal Viator user for 10 years now, simple request could not be granted. My group of 12 was part of the unfortunate who have been stranded for 48 hours in Dubai airport due to their Severe Weather situation of Apr16/17, 2024 - thereby affecting my arrival to Madrid. Despite the emotional & physical trauma we were going thru in Dubai airport in-between re-bookings & finding a place to sleep inside the terminal, I was in contact with Operator trying to make arrangements. My main request was for my booking to be re-scheduled on a another date, when we successfully arrive at our destination. They would not re-consider. I find it quite insensitive and so much in bad taste for customer service.
