It was a great tour - a little more challenging than i expected due to hills but if you’re used to biking you’ll be fine

It was a lovely ride although a bit hilly in places so an electric bike may be a good idea for people who are not used to riding bikes. Saying that we were all non bike riders and coped ok. The tour guide was very knowledgable and we got to see a lot of Madrid in 3 hours. The tapas at the end of the tour was amazing and was the perfect way to end the experiemce
We enjoyed our ride. However, our itinerary changed and we could not go to the Parc El Retiro due to a protest at Puerto del sol. So, our ride filled the time, but felt short. (We went to El Retiro the following day and am glad we didn’t miss it. Bummed we couldn’t have biked through the park). Our guide Julio was very knowledgeable. The tapas were good and we enjoyed our fellow travelers.
Excellent tour! Great guide. Small group, worked well. First time on an e-bike, wow how easy! Madrid is a lovely city, highly recommend this introduction to its' centre.
We were a bit hesitant to ride the bike in Madrid with our 7 year old and 12 year old, but Julio, our tour guide, was amazing. He was very passionate and knowledgeable and he took really good care of us. I would definitely recommend this over the tuk tuks.
This was a great way to see a park in Madrid and bike and get some exercise. Love this tour. I enjoyed this tour a lot some really nice people
I took this tour with my two adult children and we had a great time. We had a small group so it was very easy to navigate around Madrid and learn about the city and history from our excellent guide, Manu. The tapas and tinto de verano (have this over sangria, I think I drank a gallon or two while I was in Madrid!) were delicious and the tour was a perfect amount of time to see historic parts of Madrid, and then go explore on our own for the rest of the trip. Thanks, Manu, for providing great recommendations both in Madrid and later when we went to Portugal! I neglected to pick the ebike option while the rest of the tour had them. It really wasn't too much work to pedal and Manu was very gracious to give swap his ebike for my daughter's pedal bike, but there enough small hills that I'd probably do an ebike in the future. I love doing city bike tours and this one is great.
Our tour guide was great. We loved seeing the best parts of Madrid while learning some of the history. The electric bikes made it easy to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time and discover new places to return to later in the day on our own.
You should definitely be in decent shape for this it’s a good workout. The heat of the summer can make it a little challenging. The tour itself was great and we learned and saw a lot. The only thing at the end I didn’t like was the tapas part, it was a little weird. The owner just walked us to a restaurant down the street and left us there. He said that we could spend more money instead of refunding me for deducting the electric bikes (my kid was unable to use due to his size). It’s not really what I wanted because there was only two of us and I was too hot to argue. I think we could have done just fine without the tapas..
Great guide, really nice pace, informative and fun
Such a great way to see the city and our guide was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We had great fun and learned so much about Spain.
Excellent! Very informative and a great vibe! It was great to bike the city and learn about the history. Highly recommend!
The bike tour was a really good way of orienting ourselves to Madrid, giving a sense of how the different areas fit together. Our guide Manu was friendly and knowledgeable and kept us all safe. We saw many interesting buildings and landmarks and spent time in Retiro park. We had electric bikes which made the hills very easy, and had tapas in a nice local restaurant afterwards. Highly recommended.
Such a great way to see Madrid. Myself and 3 friends rented the E bikes. I would highly recommend. Our tour guide Julio was so informative and helpful.
Jules was so knowledgeable as a tour guide! He offered great insights on the city! Highly recommend the bike tour!
Rudy was great...kind, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a pretty big group, but we were able to see a lot and understand the history of Madrid. The tour is comprehensive and was 3.5 hours. They provided a bottle of water as well. Well worth it!
This was one of the best things we did in Madrid. So much fun, a great way to see the city and learn about the history and being on a bike—you can cover so much more ground than walking. We had spent two days at El Retiro and our guide took us places there we NEVER would have found on our own. A sanctuary for peacocks and a beautiful rose garden that we somehow completely missed. Our guide Manu was spectacular. His clear love for the city and story telling was well worth every penny. Don’t miss out. If you are comfortable on a bike, do it. Wear a helmet. Don’t be stupid. :) You are on a bike in the city.
This was a great experience from start to finish,Manuel was a great guide, very informative with a good sense of humour., he local knowledge was very good.
The tour was alright. We proceeded despite rain in the forecast and got soaking wet. The guide provided ponchos to help, but we had to follow a modified tour route and ended up missing ~30 minutes of the tour.
Fabulous way to see Madrid! Very personable guide. Michel was wonderful! Lots of history, so much knowledge! We rode by most of the highlights in Madrid! Amazing views! Optional tapas were delicious! Small group was peefect! A wonderful way to experience Madrid!
I went to meetup point and I was given a good bike and equipment. The bike had area for storage and facility had a storage area and restroom which was convenient. The company and tour guide were very friendly. Biking, I saw many attractions such as the Palace, Retiro Park, some museums etc. It’s a great way to familiarize yourself with Madrid if you enjoy biking. After the tour ended, we left our bikes at the shop and walked to a Tapas place. We chose the Tapas we liked and got drinks. The Tapas were very good and lots of selections.
This tour was incredible!! Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Madrid. It was excellent value for money and would recommend it to everyone including solo travellers.
Very enjoyable bike tour of Madrid, our guide Rudi was fantastic, very knowledgeable and helpful. Really impressed with all aspects. The tapas afterwards was extremely good
Excellent tour around the center of Madrid with Rudy. We were with children of 11 and 12 years old and the pace was just right. We really enjoyed discovering the city without thinking about directions , switching between famous avenues and small streets with hiddem gems like the oldest church in Madrid. Rudy gave us a lot of useful tips for the rest of our stay. Highly recommend!
Rudy our tour guide was amazing, passionate organized and informative. We learned so much and saw so many beautiful things, it was a pleasure to be on this trip. We did the tapas afterwards, and it was nice.
Manu made the experience fantastic. Friendly, informative, helpful. So much knowledge was shared. Highlight of trip!
We signed up the day before because of a change in plans! So happy it worked out. We had a 4 hour ride that included so much information that I never knew about! Best tour guide ever! We even stopped for a drink! Thank you so much
This bike tour gives you a very good overview about Madrid and the places you would like to explore more deeply.
Fantastic way to see the sights of Madrid. Very knowledgeable and pleasant tour guide. The best way to see the city.
Rudy was very informative and passionate, the tour was brilliant. The places he took us to were beautiful and I really felt like we saw everything we hoped to see. The bikes were well maintained and easy to ride. We hired electric bikes. Only downside was that some areas were very busy with pedestrians and difficult to ride through.
I’ve done two bike rides in Madrid and this was my favorite. Had a better route and is perfect if you’re staying close to plaza mayor/palace area.
We had a great bike tour with Rudy who is very knowledgeable and passionate about Madrid. His information was broad in scope and also detailed, so that we got a general overview with some interesting tidbits. We especially appreciated his local recommendations and what to avoid. We definitely recommend asking for Rudy as your guide.
Just had the best 3 hour bike tour around Madrid. The host (I think he was called Manuel?) was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the whole city, making me feel comfortable and helped me learn so much about Madrid! There were no other travellers booked onto my trip in English, so I ended up with a private tour! Bike was really good quality and very easy to ride and manoeuvre around the narrow busy streets. Plenty of stops too to take pictures and soak in the surroundings. I would highly recommend and will book to do this again if I return to the city!
I loved this so much fun and excitement. It was a real workout as well. I went while it was chilly outside so that made it all the better.
It was a great overview/introductory tour of the city. We know which spots we want to go back to and explore more. It was active and ended perfectly with a great local tapas restaurant!
So much fun! We were a group of 8 with 4 kids ages ranging from 11-16 and everyone loved the bike tour. Our guide Gabriel kept us safe and entertained throughout. Riding e-bikes through the crowded city was quite an adventure. All in all highly recommend!
Excellent way to see Madrid and cover a lot of ground in a large city. Gabriel is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable, provided interesting historical information about the city and did a great job guiding us around busy streets. Felt safe at all times. Tapas afterwards are well worth doing
Fabulous. Informative, safe, fun. Learned a ton and got some exercise in too! We went to so many key attractions and the guide was great!
Madrid is beautiful and we saw much more of it on bikes than we could have with a walking tour. Juan of TimBikes made it fun, interesting and relevant to what we were interested in learning. This was definitely worth it!
We got to see all the highlights and had a wonderful ride through Madrid. I highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide was excellent and enthusiastic.
This was a great tour of the highlights of Madrid on a bike (electric). We had a fabulous tour guide Juanfe - very knowledgeable and charasmatic. He has great knowledge of the history of Spain and presents it in an easy way to remember. Highly recommend Juanfe!!
The meeting point for Tim’s bikes was easy to find. The bikes were well maintained and comfortable. We do bike tours often, so our standards are high. Our guide, Juan Fe, exceeded our expectations. He was super knowledgeable and communicated his knowledge effectively. Importantly, he kept the tour moving along and completely safe.
Fun, informative trip with Gabriel covering most central areas with opportunities to stop and explore
I think his name was David... The guide was great and knew the history of Madrid like the back of his hand ! He was also very excited and kept the spirits up - seems like he likes his job. I would recommend that if you do not bicycle often to try the automatic bicycle. I did the manual one and I ended up fine but a few hills (there aren't too many) can knock the breath out of you!
I was late arriving, but the rental guy kindly guided me quickly to catch the group up. Exciting! Irene, our guide, led us through many historic places with many fine views. I enjoyed cycling through El Retiro park. After 3 hours cycling, I really appreciated the tapas y una cerveza. Thank you, Irene, that was a great way to spend the morning in Madrid.
Great experience at a reasonable price. The 3 hour tour picked some great highlights of Madrid and the guide knew her stuff and was entertaining.
This bike tour was the perfect way to see a large area of Madrid when we first arrived to the city, it allowed us to know where we wanted to spend more time during the rest of our visit. Our tour guide Pedro was extremely informative, we learned so much and we weren't even on the tour for the education, just for the site seeing! But it was so enjoyable! The ride is leisurely, not physically demanding except on a few uphill spots. You do have to navigate through large crowds of people, which is not the easiest to do. Highly encourage taking this tour!
I can’t believe I never wrote the review. i went back in 2021 and still these guys. They were great and seemed genuinely to enjoy what they are doing.
Bike Tour with David was fun. Great tour guide and big history nut, (in a good way). The price for the tour was reasonable and we covered a lot of areas within the city. I would definitely recommend including the tapas after the tour. They were delicious with many selections to choose from. The one problem I had was that Madrid in September was very crowded and it was often difficult to maneuver the bike around all the people and traffic.
This is a great way to see and learn about Madrid. Gabriel was an amazing host. He is very knowledgeable about Madrid, Spain, and history in general. He was also very entertaining. We brought a 14 month old baby on this tour. Gabriel was super patient with the extra needs that came along with that.
