Adrian was a fabulous guide. Very energetic and truly enjoys his job and makes his guests feel welcomed. He is very knowledgeable about Spanish history of the region. The van and small group was worth the money. Ask for Adrian if you are going on a tour with this group. You will love it.

Toledo, declared a World Heritage Site, is a historic gem perched on a hill surrounded by the Tagus River. Known as the City of Three Cultures, it was home to Christians, Muslims, and Jews, whose legacy is still visible in its architecture and traditions. Once the capital of the Visigothic Kingdom and Spain's religious center, it boasts landmarks such as the Primatial Cathedral, the Alcázar, the Synagogue of El Tránsito, and the Mosque of Cristo de la Luz. The city of El Greco, damascene art, swords, and marzipan, Toledo offers visitors a journey through centuries of history in every street and corner.
The Mirador del Valle is one of the most breathtaking panoramic viewpoints in Toledo. From here, you can admire sweeping views of the historic city center perched above the Tagus River: the silhouette of the Cathedral, the Alcázar, the ancient walls, and the medieval layout. At your feet lies the winding course of the river, flanked by riverside vegetation and the green plains. The viewpoint also offers a parking area, a small kiosk-café, benches for resting, and informational panels with historical and geographical facts. It is the perfect spot for photography enthusiasts and to enjoy the sunset over one of the most beautiful cities in Spain.
The Windmills and the Castle of Consuegra form one of the most iconic landscapes in Castilla-La Mancha. At the top of Cerro Calderico, 12 windmills stand in a row beside the medieval fortress, evoking the famous scene from Don Quixote battling giants. Most of these windmills date back to the 16th century, and some, like “Sancho,” still preserve their original machinery and function as museums showcasing the traditional milling process. Just a few steps away, the Castle of La Muela—of Muslim origin and later rebuilt by the Knights of the Order of Saint John—offers spectacular views over the vast La Mancha plain. This historical ensemble not only represents the cultural and literary heritage of the region but also provides a unique experience where history, landscape, and legend come together in one unforgettable place.

It was great. We got picked up right at our hotel and retuned there. Simon was very good driver and gave us lots of tips on what to see. Where to go eat and what types of local Spanish food to try. Also very knowledgeable about history of Spain in general and of course Toledo and the windmills we went to see. Magil was also a great guide in Toledo, he didn’t rush us through, very knowledgeable, polite and patient with us. We would highly recommend this tour. Jim + Jen
The day trip to Toledo and the windmills lead by Simon was outstanding. His knowledge and ability to convey valuable background information without overloading the group with too much detail was just right. I fully recommend this day tour from Madrid and fully endorse Simon as an outstanding guide.
We had a wonderful experience on our small group tour to Toledo. Simon was a great driver and guide who pointed out the history and beauty of the area, and also accommodated us to make sure we got great photos of the windmills. Delphi, our local tour guide, was wonderful and full of knowledge about Toledo, taking us to the highlights and pointing out other things we might be interested in when we had our free time. Both of our guides spoke excellent English which made our tour very relaxing. We were very happy we had booked the tour!
Travel is comfortable and well-paced, leaving plenty of time for photos, local food, and exploring without feeling rushed. Simon and Delphi bring deep knowledge, warmth, and a great sense of humor, making every story about Toledo and Don Quixote come alive.
This trip is a great way to spend the day and get an in depth view of Toledo and it importance to Spain. The guide was very knowledgeable about Spanish history, language, and European history relative to Toledo and La Mancha area. The windmills were an added bonus for literary fans and in particular Don Quixote.
That was the most out of this world experience. No one believed my pictures because it’s so different than America. Also Simon is the best, and Delphi was awesome!
I had a fantastic day tour from Madrid to Toledo including the beautiful Consuegra windmills. Our guide Adrian was very nice and made the journey comfortable and enjoyable by sharing historical and fun facts. The local guide in Toledo was absolutely amazing. Knowledgeable, passionate, and brought the city’s rich history to life. The windmills offered stunning views and a perfect photo stop. Everything ran smoothly and punctual. Highly recommend this tour.
This trip was amazing. Our guide was wonderful, kind and knowledgeable. The trip was all inclusive of Toledo and the Windmills. There was plenty of time for leisure and the guided activities.
Adrian was wonderful. So friendly and knowledgeable. He made for a great experience. He gave some great recommendations of lunch spots and sights to see during our free time.
Originally I had a different tour in mind but due to availability I found this one and was super glad I did. The day could not have been better planned or paced, The small group tour was worth the money. Adrian was a fantastic guide full or warmth and enthusiasm. He clearly loves working with people and the places we went to. I very much appreciated that he used what's app to coordinate the pick up which made communication super easy throughout the day. First off the tour started out with a pick up from my hotel which seems unique to this group tour operator. Others I looked into made you go to a pick up location. It makes logistics that much easier. The other two people in the group were from Mexico and Adrian did a great job splitting his time between Spanish and English. I never felt left out and was very impressed with how he managed to keep us all engaged. As we headed out of the city we got some info on Madrid and the surrounding area.. Once we arrived we were handed off to a Toledo specific tour guide who was also very friendly and knowledgable. We started from the main square and ending at the cathedral where we met up with Adrian again who gave us tips on were to eat. As part of the city tour we stopped at a sword factory, sweets shop and jewelry shop. I did not feel pressured to buy at these establishment and was especially interested in the sword workshop. Supper cool to learn about what makes Toledo steel unique. We had a few hours on our own to explore. I had a quick lunch and went back to the sweets shop for some gifts then wandered the streets of Toledo. It is such a romantic city where you feel like you are stepping back in time. So full of nooks and crannies to explore. My only regret was I did not leave enough time to properly visit the cathedral. I did go in but was rushed and hit the highlights. It was a truly spectacular gothic church full of amazing art. The scale was super impressive. We met back at the car and headed to the windmills stopping off at a look out point over looking Toledo for a photo op. Adrian asked on the way home which we liked better Toledo or the Windmills and honestly I could not choose. It was such fun to see with beautiful country side and be in the land of Don Quixote. The windmills were living history as some are still operational and able to mill wheat into flower. The mechanics of the them are impressive and it's nice to see that they are being preserved. We had plenty of time go walk around and take in the views. Then we headed back to Madrid. All in all I can't recommend this tour with Adrian enough. I really felt like I was being toured around by a friend the whole day.
We are from Toledo, Ohio and visiting Toledo Spain was special. Our guides, Adrian and Franco were outstanding.
I can't really review the trip experience because they cancelled my trip TWICE! The first cancellation I totally understood as they did not meet the minimum number of participants. Because of this, I convinced some friends we were traveling with to join is to make sure the minimum number would not be a problem. Late in the afternoon of the day before we were supposed to go I got a communication reminding me of some of the details and expressing how excited they were to have us. Two hours later they cancelled again staying that weather conditions would make it impossible to do the entire itinerary. What upset me most was that with the exception of suggesting another of their trips (if I had wanted to go on the other itinerary I would have booked it), they had no alternatives. I suggested three reasonable options that would have allowed us to see the main destination on this trip but they had no interest in trying to make any of them work. The answer was always just no. Of you do book this I would strongly suggest you have a Plan B to fill a whole day because you just might need it.
A wonderful tour. Adrian is amazing very knowledgeable. He answered all our questions. He was very patient. I will recommend him for your next excursion 100% my husband and I are very pleased
Adrian was super friendly and knowledgeable sharing about Spain throughout the day. Being picked up and dropped off at the place we were staying was very convenient. In Toledo we had an hour tour before being able to explore on our own with some recommendations from Adrian on where to eat and what else to check-out. He then brought us to a viewpoint which was amazing to see Toledo from the distance. The windmills were also very cool. Adrian brought us inside one for a quick history video before letting us walk around on our own. The group was 7 of us total, which made for a great size rather than a large bus. This was a fantastic way to get out of Madrid and see Toledo and Consuegra! Plus we didn't leave super early or get back super late which was a win.
Any tour with Adrian would be a great experience. He was so fun and super informative and we enjoyed Toledo and the windmills ver much. Highly recommend
Adrian was great! Loved the windmills and Toledo was amazing.
Adrian was an excellent guide. We started of in Toledo which is a very historic and picturesque walled city. The cathedral is stunning. We streets are narrow and a bit steep in places but this adds to its charm. After a tour around the city we had plenty of time to have lunch and explore on our own. Later we left to visit the windmills which were well worth the visit. In all a very enjoyable day out.
The trip to Toledo and the Don Quixote windmills was absolutely fantastic. Everything was perfectly organized, and the whole experience was truly unforgettable. Special thanks to Adrian. He was highly professional, had a great sense of humor, and created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the trip. His care for every member of the group, empathy, and genuine attention to detail really stood out. Adrian shared a wealth of interesting and insightful information, not just dry facts. We especially appreciated his ability to adapt to the group’s pace and needs. This was not just a tour, but a meaningful experience that I would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you for such a wonderful day. Greetings from Lithuania.
This was all around an incredible trip to Toledo. I researched many different trips on Viator, in various configurations, that included Toledo. I'm extremely glad I went with this one. Our guide, Adrian, picked me up from a location convenient to my Airbnb precisely when he said he would and was very easy to communicate with. We traveled in a comfy new sprinter van to Toledo, and Adrian gave us great information about the area and history along the way. Once in Toledo, we took a walking tour through the city, including two workshops and a tasting of the famous marzipan. We then had a little over three hours of free time to explore on our own, shop, and enjoy lunch. This was a perfect amount of time in the city to not feel rushed and really get a feel for it. Adrian gave helpful recommendations on places to eat and a tip to see the city from the top of the Alcazar library. Definitely don't skip that! As a group, we also went to an overlook of Toledo with breathtaking views of the city surrounded by the river and wall. We then went to see the windmills of La Mancha and even went inside the top of one to learn how they work. This was everything I had hoped to get out of a visit to both locations.
The tour with Adrian was perfect- it was a comfortable ride to Toledo and the windmills. We learned so much and had a blast. Adrian’s suggestions for our free time were fantastic and he gave us the perfect amount of time to see everything along the way. Highly recommend this tour!
The trip was great! Adrian was our guide and he was amazing! Learned a lot about Toledo. We felt that the trip was tailored to our liking and our pace. We loved that part of the trip was guided tour, but then we had free time to explore the town, have lunch. Adrian also gave recommendations for lunch, which was vey helpful. Overll 5 out of 6 starts!
TIM Bikes & Bizzi Tours is honestly amazing. The team is super friendly and chill, and they make sure everyone feels welcome, even if your Spanish isn’t perfect.☺️☺️ The tours are really well organized and totally doable for anyone. You get to see so many cool spots around Madrid, and the guides are fun, funny, and know their stuff—makes the whole experience way more enjoyable. If you want a fun, easy, and memorable way to check out Madrid, this is it. Can’t recommend it enough.
An excellent experience from start to finish. The guide was incredibly attentive, flexible, and fully adapted to our needs, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. Their kindness and great level of preparation made the tour not only interesting but also truly enriching. You can really feel the passion and knowledge in every explanation. Without a doubt, one of the best tours we’ve ever taken. I only wish experiences like this existed in more countries!
An excellent tour! I did it with my husband and children, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The guide was attentive, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout. Highly recommended!
Great private tour, our travel guide Gorgy was amazing, will definitely recommend. You get to see Toledo in a different light and the windmills are amazing!
To start with, we had two amazing tour guides. Our main tour guide and driver was Adrienne, and our tour guide in Toledo was Delfina. Both were very personable and knowledgeable, making the entire day educational and fun. Toledo is an amazing historical town. There are lots of restaurants and local shops, and friendly peoplle. Must sees include the Cathedral and, quite simply, just walking around the narrow streets. A beautiful place to visit.
Whao! Adrian was our guide. It was just two of us and him. From the minute he picked us up it was like being driven around by a family member. He took the time to show us everything and answered every question. Showed us the best restaurants and what to spend time on and what not to! Brst spent money in spain. Will definitively reach out to him in the future
Adrian was just lovely! He was very communicative, flexible in pickup locations and time, a pleasure to talk with, a good driver, and great guide with anecdotes about many things. He also had many recommendations for restaurants and food in Toledo. The windmills stop is a little short, but its windy up there, so it's fine! Can't recommend this tour enough.
Very nice trip !! Toledo was Cool !! Windmills were boring !! Adrian our Driver Host was SUPER !! The cost of the trip was Fair !! I recommend it !!
Adrain gave us the most Amazing Tour!!! Very informative and interesting!! Comfortable and Fun! Easy pace and relaxing! Beautiful places to visit!! This is a must-do tour👍 Thank you
Visiting Toledo and The Windmills of La Mancha with Adrian was an exciting day which included historical details presented by Adrian, a visit to a damasque shop where the perfect gift for my princesses was found! Adrian gave us the opportunity to walk around Toledo on our own which was a fun adventure! The narrow steep lanes were challenging but so worth it. The windmills of La Mancha was just perfect. It was cold but that meant we had the place to ourselves. The drive feom and back to Madrid was such a gift because Adrian shared details about life in Spain/Madrid and Cuba. We learnt so much and laughed a lot! It seemed we have known each other for a long time. I highly recommend touring with Adrian! I would love to do a bike tour with him! Muchas Gracias Adrian!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and highly recommend this tour. Adrian was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgable, professional and accommodating to our requests. He provided a very personalized experience. He took us to skilled artisans in Toledo that we would not have found on our own. He also escorted us to a popular restaurant in Toledo and recommended specialty dishes to try. The windmill visit was charming and magical as we arrived as the sun was setting. Learning the history and how the windmills worked was very interesting.
We had a wonderful experience on the Madrid to Toledo & Don Quixote Windmills small-group tour. It ended up being just my husband and me, which made the day feel very personal and relaxed. Our guide, Adrian, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire trip. He shared fascinating history and stories about Toledo, helped us appreciate the architecture and culture, and made sure we had plenty of time to explore and take photos. Visiting the iconic Don Quixote windmills was truly unforgettable—Adrian explained their significance and made the whole moment even more special. Overall, the tour was exceptionally well organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better experience. Highly recommended
Only negative was that this was not a private tour. The other family was lovely so it was not an issue but both parties thought it was private not small group. The tour included transport to Toledo from Madrid, a walking tour with consideration given to those who needed an easier walk in this city of hills, good amount of free time, a visit to the ancient windmills that inspired Cervantes, and transportation back to the hotels. It is a long day which is acknowledged in the description. The guides, Adrian and Manuel were knowledgeable and interesting. Great way to visit this beautiful old city!
From the first contact until the end of the tour, everything was perfect! Adrian is so friendly and easy going, he really takes care of his customers. I can only recommend!
Adrián was an excellent guide! He communicated with us the night before to let us know he would get as close as possible to our hotel (National Day had road closures), messaged us with a pin on his location the next morning so he was easy to find, and provided a list of recommendations after our tour when we had time to explore on our own. He had great historical information about so many parts of Toledo - facts, legends, and many interesting anecdotes! The four of us really enjoyed the day both in Toledo and at the windmills near Consuegra. It is a long day with quite a bit of walking up and down hills so dress for comfort. We definitely recommend a tour with Adrián!
They are the best in what they do, no questions ask. Very professional team but familiar too, a great way to blend with the locals and explore.
This trip was fabulous. From private drive and tour. To free time and seeing the windmills. They were able to accommodate my time constraints. Pick up /drop off were absolutely perfection since they needed to be in different places. Learned about Toledo and its history but also ate cheese, wine, cookies. And other restaurant recommendations. We had a full day of adventure and fun. Adrian is amazing.
Our driver Simón and the guide Eduardo were great. During the trip I felt very safe and he was always very kind and provided us with information about Toledo. The guide Eduardo conveyed everything he feels for his hometown and advised us which place to visit during our free time. It was very fun and educational.
A sublime experience, it exceeded my expectations. Adrián was super kind and well-informed. I will remember it as long as I live. Recommended for getting to know a little-known, but very interesting side of Spain.
My partner and I took a guided tour of Toledo with Adrián, a very well-prepared guy who was attentive to every detail and had a lot of knowledge about the entire route. The trip was very rewarding and one of the best experiences I have had on a tour; I definitely recommend it 100%.
Toledo is an incredibly beautiful city; one could have spent an entire day there. Our tour was very interesting; unfortunately, we did not have enough time to look at everything calmly. The windmills are also very impressive.
Very good excursion, everything was perfect! Thanks to the BiziTour team!
Wonderful experience with BiziTour. The tour we took was incredibly enriching in terms of leisure and culture. Many thanks to the entire team, especially to Adrian for serving as our guide and accompanying us on the adventure. The views, the food, the trip, and the conversations were spectacular.
Traveling to Toledo and the Mills of Don Quixote with Adrian was an unforgettable experience. The service it gives is 5 stars from the pickup at the place where we stayed, the pleasant conversation giving us all the possible data of the experience we were going to have, the time there touring the city and showing us corners full of culture, the detail of taking us to try the carcamusas, the visit to the Mills, until the return. In short, Toledo is a must-see destination for those looking for history, culture and a unique atmosphere and if you make this trip with Adrian you will be delighted. Recommended 100%
Very nice people and the bike ride was a lot of fun
Amazing how much fun we had on this tour. The guide was magnificent, professional and friendly. We really enjoyed the anecdotes and the story.
A fantastic experience from start to finish. The trip from Madrid was very well organized and the small group format made everything much more comfortable and personalized. Our guide was excellent: very friendly, professional and with very interesting explanations throughout the tour. Toledo is simply stunning, with its mix of history, culture and charming streets. Afterwards, visiting the windmills of Don Quixote was the perfect complement: the landscape is spectacular and really transports you to the history of Cervantes. The pace of the tour was ideal, with enough time to enjoy each place without rush. Undoubtedly, an excursion highly recommended for those who want to know more about the history and landscapes of Spain in one day. Fully deserved the 5 stars!
Spectacular and more.... 👌👌👌
