We are a group of 8 friends. We booked a private tapas tour and Carmen was our tour guide. She is very energetic and told us a lot of background stories about food, Madrid and Spain. We fully enjoyed our tour. Highly recommend a private tour.

Itinerary
Our private gastronomic journey commences at the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid at either 12.30 PM or 7:00 PM, where your expert host will welcome you to the capital and provide an insightful overview of the culinary experiences awaiting you.
Following our meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel, we will proceed to our inaugural destination: a distinguished 19th-century Madrid establishment. Founded in 1836, this venerable restaurant historically served as a premier gathering place for the era's aristocracy, royalty, and prominent political figures. During our visit, I will share the rich history of the venue alongside captivating historical anecdotes. Here, we will sample their signature consommé, as well as their renowned croquettes and puff pastries, all meticulously paired with a selection of premium white or red wine.
After enjoying the local gastronomy and wine at our first stop, we made our way back to Puerta del Sol. In this section, I will guide you through this stunning square, exploring its rich history and the iconic symbols that define it.
During our gastronomic tour we will visit iconic places in the city, such as Calle Mayor, Plaza Mayor, here I will give you a brief summary of the history of the Plaza, the most important Plaza in Madrid.
En route to our next destination, we will stop at Plaza de la Villa, one of Madrid’s most picturesque squares, where I will share a brief overview of its history. We will also pass by the world's oldest restaurant to discover the fascinating heritage behind this iconic landmark.
Our second stop takes us to another iconic Madrid establishment. Here, diners will enjoy a carefully curated selection of gourmet dishes—such as aged gourmet cheeses, our 100% acorn-fed Iberian ham, and a selection of gourmet fish—all paired with our premium wines.
We will conclude the tour at a classic restaurant featuring spectacular views of the Royal Palace, enjoying their gourmet cuisine, fine wines, and desserts.

Carmen was a wonderful guide - knowledgeable and enthusiastic in sharing the sights and the introducing the wonderful selection of tapas. Never a dull moment with her.
Carmen was a fantastic tour guide. She combined information about Spanish history, Madrid surroundings, and food and wine seamlessly into the tour. She allowed us to ask questions and provided thoughtful, comprehensive answers. The food and drink we sampled was delicious! And as we took our tour early in our stay in Madrid, she offered several recommendations for restaurants for us to try later in our trip. I would highly recommend Carmen and this tour!
We had a wonderful tour of Madrid and tasted foods, wines, local beer and learned so much about Madrid. Would definitely recommend!
Very nice experience. Carmen is an enthusiastic guide who gives a lot of tips for Madrid during the tour. The stops are always well chosen and not the typical “tourist traps”.
I booked this private tapas tour for my co-workers coming to Madrid for a convention that took place that morning. Everything went perfectly. All my colleagues (from different countries) went on tour very happy and knowing more about Madrid. The guide, Carmen, was very nice and patient. He took us to several tapas bars where we tasted his specialties, such as garlic prawns, cod croquettes, mushrooms etc, and of course chocolate with churros. It was a memorable night. I recommend this tour if you want to take your guests for tapas and want them to leave happy. WONDERFUL TAPAS TOUR
