Melissa was a wonderful guide. Very informative and interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Only six in our small group and that was nice.
Enrique was a brilliant guide. He gave us so much interesting history about Madrid in a funny charismatic fashion. Not just reading from a script, was so enjoyable the time flew past! His mum should be very proud ! I would highly recommend anybody to book.
We took the City tour with Henrique. Henrique was very knowledgeable about the history of the town or Madrid and took us historical monuments, shops and sites and provided insight that we would have missed had Henrique not been by our side. He was friendly and a very excellent guide.
A very informative tour with Henrique he made everything very interesting. Only one small recommendation, a bit more walking and less time at each stop as standing still for a long time wasn’t so good.
Terrific from start to finish. Our guide Henrique communicated well before and after with plenty of helpful details to navigate the city. He was so knowledgeable and told all the stories in a relatable, intriguing way. The tour itself was a great way to learn the historical centre of town. I loved the range of what we saw and how much of history was covered, plus Henrique neatly tied some narrative threads from our first stop back to our last, making it all feel like one long thread I could understand well. He also gave some recommendations for further viewing and restaurants as well. Loved the tour and highly recommend.
Jean was an engaging and knowledgeable guide. He made the tour memorable for me and my young sons, who participated and asked lots of questions.
Enrique was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and worked with our schedule. We covered a lot of territory, gained new knowledge, and had a fun time! And we had just landed in Madrid a few hours before!
My 4 sisters and I really, really enjoyed our walking tour of Madrid. Our guide Henrique was absolutely fantastic. He was a fun guide and his historical knowledge was amazing. His English, we are Irish, was perfect and he was able to relate Irish history to the Spanish history. We all would definitely recommend going on this tour.
Jean was a great guide. Very informative, fun, engaging and patient.
Great tour with Henrique. Was informative and fun.
Henrique is a brilliant tour guide and historian. He was very detailed but had interesting anecdotes as well. Worth it, even among strangers.
Excellent walking tour of Centro Madrid with a wonderful guide. Saw lots of great sights and learned alot.
Nuncia was excellent. Clarity of English and pace of walk to each location. Very informative of sights for follow-up.
This was a great intro to the city. Our guide had good energy and knowledge. He gave us good tips on what to do after. Highly recommend to everyone who may be visiting Madrid and is short on time. We saw a lot in a few hours.
We did this tour on our last day in Madrid. Excellent way to end our stay. Our wonderful tour guide Henrique, made a big difference. If you do this tour, you certainly have to ask for Henrique. His knowledge, passion for history and his job shows. He made us fell right at home, very intelligent, interactive and had great interpersonal skills. We cannot praise him enough! Great job! The tour is way worth your time and money! A message to Henrique’s beautiful mom: you raised this child very well! I hope you are very proud of him! Saludos y abrazos!
Ana was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who took good care of the group and answered our questions about the paintings at the Prado. She was passionate about the art which made the tour more engaging and fun! I would recommend Ana for your tour at the Prado, and I hope to tour with her on my next trip to Madrid! - Peter from NYC
My trip was amazing. Henrique did a great job finding the location and giving historical facts
Henrique was a great tour guide with a tremendous amount of knowledge and a fun way of walking us through the history of Madrid. I very much enjoyed this tour. The 2,5h flew by and it was a wonderful experience. Thank you!
Henrique was an amazing tour guide! He was really knowledgeable, entertaining and kept a really good pace throughout the tour. Always answered any questions, and gave some really good recommendations after. 10/10 I would recommend him and this tour again.
Henrique was brilliant! Very funny and personable but at the same time really knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend him to anyone visiting in the future!
Henrique was an excellent tour guide, very knowledgable and enthusiastic. And with a great sense of humour. Highly recommend this tour with Henrique
Our guide, Henrique from Brazil did an excellent job. He is friendly and enthusiastic who had plenty of information to share with us. He appears that he studied his topic and knows Madrid and some of its secrets well.
Great tour Henrique was very knowledgeable fun and engaging. Highly recommend. Great way to get a feel of the city on our first morning…. Loved the taste testing El Madroño… thank you Henrique. He did good Mum!!!
Henrique did a terrific job bringing centuries of Madrid’s history to light. He was passionate about Spain and history. The tour was 2-2 1/2 hours, but seemed much shorter. Highly recommend for any out of town visitor wishing to know more about the city and history.
I did the walking tour with Henrique. It was amazing. Henrique is a wonderful tour guide, knowledgable, goes into a lot of detail and makes the whole tour enjoyable. Thanks Henrique for showing me around Madrid!
I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I learned a lot about Madrid’s history, cultural habits and cuisine. The guide’s English was excellent and she was extremely attuned to the group and their questions. Thank you, Melissa! I highly recommend this tour!
A fantastic tour of Madrid! Freddy did an excellent job and truly deserves five stars. He was professional, knowledgeable, and engaging throughout the experience. His enthusiasm and dedication made the tour enjoyable and worthwhile. Highly recommended, and a big thank you to Freddy for a wonderful experience!
He was friendly & had knowledge but spoke very quickly & sometimes was hard to understand. He was what we call a Try hard, overdoing the jokes & too eager to please for the extra tips. The pace was good & we saw plenty of historical areas in the city & learnt about their history, which was great. We were lucky with the weather & I would advise to do this tour in the morning, as it gets crazy busy as the day progresses! Worthwhile doing if u don’t have a lot of time to spend in the city.
Henrique (our guide) gave a charming, distinctive, and very informative walking tour (over two hours) of numerous historical points of interest, talking about major events and ways of life in Madrid’s past, starting at the Puerta del Sol and ending at the Royal Palace. Our group was of a very manageable size (fifteen or so) and he was easy to hear without amplification.
Henrique was an excellent guide; he was motivated and had a personal passion for history that he enjoyed sharing with us.
Although I have been to Madrid before for work, I hadn’t really the time to know the old Madrid at all. This was a good starting point to see some of the major tourist hotspots and have some perspective on the city. Henrique was a knowledgable tour guide and shown the group some great spots which I returned to for some tapas!
I enjoyed the tour very much, especially with our guide Henrique, he even gave us some good gastronomic tips. Thanks a lot. Frank
Excellent tour. Henrique our guide was really good. We learnt so much about Madrid and Spain. It was our first day in Madrid and this gave us a great insight on the city. We were a small group, but in our opinion it was better that way, were able to ask lots of questions and chat to the others in the group
Freddy was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable tour guide, but the tour was more talking than walking. It seemed like he was trying to kill time, especially at the beginning at Puerta del Sol (which was completely full of housing protesters) and waiting for the watchmaker. He started off the tour telling us he expected a tip of 20-25 Euros per person, so be ready for that!
We really enjoyed our tour yesterday. Henrique was our guide and he was great. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and funny. We learnt so much from him.
The tour guide, Nunzia, was fabulous! She was knowledgable as well ss personable. I recommend taking this tour.
I loved this tour! Freddy was an amazing guide who adapted seamlessly to a protest happening in the square. He was also incredibly attentive to what the group wanted, like making a quick stop when half of us wanted to grab sandwiches. I had so much fun learning about Madrid's history alongside great recommendations for both top tourist spots and local favorites. To top it off, I met some really interesting and fun people along the way!
This was an amazing tour! We learned so much & our tour guide was so knowledgeable & made the tour so fun. We seemed to hit so many of the most important Madrid highlights.
Glenn was an excellent guide, very professional with the ability to provide context to historical events. Highly recommended.
This was a very interesting walk which ended with the arrival of the King and President Macron at the Royal Palace of Madrid. Brilliant timing by our guide, Henrique. The walk gave a feel for the centre of Madrid looking at the history of its development over the centuries. Henrique was very knowledgeable and open to discussion on a range of points of detail. He was also considerate of his audience and concerned for their comfort and interest. I would highly recommend this tour.
Henrique was a great guide and full of knowledge, fun and enthusiasm. We were just three of us in total which meant he could deep dive on some of our stops. He is like a walking encyclopedia! Really great way to spend an evening and would thoroughly recommend. Please consider generosity in yr tipping because these guys really work hard to make it special.
Nuncia was an excellent guide. She took us to many popular ,and Interesting places that were varied. Thank you it was really good.
Freddie was a great guide - perfect english, loads of enthusiasm, lots of amusing details and facts. It wasn't a problem but I paid Tripadviser £3 or something but it was stated at the start and finish that the guide lives off tips and the expected payment is £20-25 Euros. Just so you know to bring the cash. Anyway, I learned a LOT about Spain, and we saw all of the middle of the city, including a bar with some (optional) sweet shots, an (optional) squid sandwich place, and soem great architecture. Two hours of walking, but the time zoomed by.
Highly recommend this tour, Henrique was a great guide!!!
Our guide Glenn was very good. Very personable, knowledgeable and helpful. His English is very good too and very easy to understand. He also made sure to involve the group in the tour so we all got the most out of it. Thanks again Glenn.
Glenn our guide was fantastic, so knowledgeable & informative & had a great sense of humour & as we took the English tour he proved impeccable English, would definitely recommend to anyone
Glen is a very knowledgeable guide. This is a great tour, and I highly recommend that you put this on your itinerary at the beginning of your visit to Madrid. The guide takes you to all of the highlights of the city so that you are able to learn your way around. We even went back to several restaurants and a watch store that he recommended. I definitely recommend this tour!
This was a 'free' tour with the expectation that the guide would receive a tip at the end. It was well worth the donation we gave of €50 (for 2 of us). Freddy met us, thankfully in the shade at Plaza Sol. He was carrying a Maroon coloured umbrella as notified to us so there was no problem finding him. We were a small group of 6 in total. This meant we could ask loads of questions and not feel awkward. Freddy was a mine of information, full of knowledge and of love for the city - its people, Its history and its culture. We meandered through streets & plazas, with Freddy sharing nuggets of history or cultural references. It was a really great introduction to Madrid and we used the information we received to plan the rest of our time in Madrid.
Glenn was an excellent guide - knowledgeable and great fun. Really enjoyed the walk and learnt a lot.
