Our guide, Julian, was exceptional, highly intelligent, and very patient. Viator, does need to make walking tours much more obvious in the description. We thought it was a driving tour, but actually it was a walking tour and I had trouble physically walking. There was an arrival situation that Viator was extremely helpful in mitigating to a great conclusion. Viator is my go-to trip planner helper!

Carolina was one of the best tour guides I’ve ever encountered - from the initial contact to the very last second! We saw everything from historic buildings to parks, cathedrals, markets, shops, and statues. The detail with which Carolina described everything was inspiring. We were able to decide where and what we wanted to see and even got many recommendations for where to eat, shop, and kick back. It was the best way to see as much of Madrid history and get a taste in one day.

Our guide started with an overview of royal history of Spain. We walked by many important sites and visited the cathedral and the crypts below; which were beautiful and full of history. We visited the Plaza Mayor and historic sites around the plaza. I highly recommend this tour.

It was a good experience. Mateo is very friendly and knowledgeable, the reason for 4/5 stars is because he was about 15 minutes late and we had traveled from Barcelona for this tour.

Egle was a wonderful tour guide. Our 3 hour, 3.5 mile tour was the perfect way to see Madrid. Egle was very knowledgeable and interesting. She kept our interest and we learned so much about different areas of the state and city of Madrid. She was so pleasant to be around and answered all our questions. We highly recommend this tour.

We had the best experience today with Edgar! He is a wealth of knowledge and was such a great guide and a great person. We were very lucky that there was a procession at the palace with cannons firing welcoming the President of Portugal. We learned so much from Edgar and you can tell he is passionate at what he does. He also gave us great food recommendations where the locals eat. 10/10! We would book with him again in a heartbeat. Such an incredible day!

Madrid is a big city but over the course of the tour Dawinson made it feel more manageable. Loved the healthy mix of restaurants suggestions and culture instead of just the typical history you get on other tours. I did the activity with my mom and we enjoyed but prepare yourself to walk. Madrid is a big city and you cover a big footprint with this tour. Wonderful experience overall with a very knowledge guide. Dawinson was excellent!

The tour was interesting, our guide knowledgeable and provided lots of information. Although it was raining & windy we completed most of the tour, we asked our guide to end it early and he took us to the market which was great.

It’s a fun stroll through some of the major sites in central Madrid. Mateo, our guide, was very informative. We had a brief stop in a neighborhood place for drinks and snacks. It was a very nice afternoon tour.

Majo was a fabulous guide. She was flexible, highly knowledgeable about the long history of Madrid, the royal family and provided fun interactive commentary. The snack and beverage were wonderful add on. Majo also provided great ideas for what else to see, do and eat. Highly recommend these personal private tours and Majo.

Our tour with Majo was lovely. The stories made the palace and cathedral very interesting and come alive. Since we were hungry we transformed our tour to a tapa tour! It was fun to learn about Spanish food and to get Majo's insights & knowledge on the menu options in Mercado de San Miguel and the tapas restaurants along the Cava Baja street. She also gave us lots of helpful information for after our tour!

I had a thoroughly enjoyable morning with Julián, walking to some of Madrid’s most important sites as well as hidden treasures, such as the “cookie nuns,” and learning about history and culture along the way. Julián is a knowledgeable history buff with a charming sense of humor. He clearly loves and appreciates his city and sharing it with visitors.

She was able to tailor our tour so that we saw outside of the typical tourist traps and visited neighborhoods while also taking us to some of her favourite spots. We very much enjoyed our tour with Victor. He was very personable and knowledgeable. He took us inside a number of historic tapas bars which we also enjoyed. A great intro to Spanish historic and culture.

Eva showed us Madrid from its best side, and was able to offer a tour to us as a choosy couple as well as 12 years old boy. She recommended outstanding restaurants and sport shops as well as outlet shops that we were interested in.

First off, Julian was very accommodating as we could not make our scheduled time due to flight delay, but Julian happily rescheduled for us. Julian met us promptly at our new time and was very personable. During our tour, Julian exhibited thorough knowledge of of the sites we toured, along with other side stories and legends. We would not hesitate to use Julian again for other tours when in Madrid again!

All and all it was an above average tour I was hoping for a WOW . My guide was very nice and extremely knowledgeable and accommodating . We got to walk a lot but only went into one venue !

We had a wonderful experience with Majo! She has tons of info and fun facts about Madrid... We enjoyed walking around and through the monuments and hearing about all the history. We ended with some tapas and drinks. She gave tons of Madrid recommendations which we really appreciated. If we had more time we would have booked a tapas tour with her. Shes amazing!!!!!!

Edgar was great and very knowledgeable about Madrid! We learned so much about the history of the city and were shown many “Easter eggs” that taught us more about the city than your average tour. I would highly recommend going this route as there are many benefits to a private tour.

Very disappointed. The location description was not clear with the map and the verbiage leading to different meeting locations for our group and our guide. The communication platform did not enable us to connect with our guide until each of us abandoned our search for the other. Viator has refused a refund despite our repeated requests.
