Madrid Food Tasting Tour Of Hidden Gems (Small Groups)

Fernando was excellent- he gave a lot of context snd history to the food and our location. We ended up with a private tour which was unexpected but made the price worthwhile.

This was a fantastic tour. We do a lot of tours and this has been one of my favorites. The stops all felt like authentic spots loved by locals. The food was amazing. Our guide was the absolute best. So knowledgeable about Spain and the food culture and a lot of fun. I can’t recommend this tour enough

Fernando was warm, friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgable. We enjoyed his personality. The stops gave us a true taste of the common foods of Madrid with lots of history as well.

Fernando was our guide and he was tremendous. Excellent English, and good historical knowledge of Madrid. The 5 stops were outstanding, we really felt like we were in old Madrid among the locals. Experienced places we would never have seen on our own. Plus the food and drink were terrific. A reasonable price for the experience. We were a group of 2, and the tour took. 2.5 hours.

Excellent food tour with Fernando. The only participants were my wife and myself, thus we were treated like royalty. The food was excellent (especially the mushroom caps). The tour also provides a feel for Madrid that would be hard to get by just walking around. Highly recommend.

Truly an outstanding experience with Fernando who is smart, energetic, considerate and totally fluent in English. We went to 5 different pub/restaurants and sampled such delicious foods and beverages. I was able to ask endless questions that he answered. We walked through the most vibrant social area of Madrid. He took photos at each stop! This is a Must Do in Madrid.

My husband and I were in Madrid for 2 nights. I surprised him with this excursion and he said afterwards it was the best experience he's ever had! Our guide was on time, pleasant and knowledgeable and because we were the only ones to book, we got a private tour! Fernando Castillo was our guide and he did take care of us and even walked us to our train. After the tour, he shared photos that he took. I would recommend him!

The tour is a great way to walk around and see parts of Madrid you might not otherwise see. Do it early so you can go back to these areas and places and try more food and drink. Overall, tapas was great, the drinks were great and the guide was superb!

What a great start to our trip to Madrid! Highly recommended. Fernando met us promptly and gave us a warm introduction that really helped break the ice. He was hospitable, thoughtful, and very prepared for our tour. I especially enjoyed the little things he did like take a moment to ensure that the next location was ready for us before we arrived so that we weren’t waiting awkwardly or finding ourselves without seats or a table. Fernando was very knowledgeable about Madrid’s history, and he was able to answer a lot of our questions. And because we had booked this tour for the start of our trip, we took note of many of the tour’s stops (food or historic) to come back to later on this trip. If you’re out there, thank you Fernando for the memorable tour!

Our tour guide, Fernando, was very knowledgable of the city and local cuisine. He took us to some wonderful local spots. The mushrooms stood out as one of our favorites! He was also great about taking pictures of our family throughout the tour and sent them to us after. He was very accommodating and helpful with one member of our family who has a nut allergy, which we greatly appreciated!

John was great to explore with, he gave wonderful insights into the city and took some time to connect to all those in the party. The spots were fun to see and experience. Little crowded at times but that is also a sign of a good spot. The food choices gave you a little of everything. Might suggest a dessert to finish off with and a hot beverage.

The tour was nice, and indeed we tasted different kind of local dishes and drinks, which was a good experience. The guide, John, was very friendly and knowledgeable. John shared a lot of details about the food and drinks, and we had pleasant conversations with him. Why it's not 5 stars, is because at the meeting point we had no idea where exactly to find our guide and how he/she would look like. Luckily the manager was responsive when we contacted him, and he called the guide immediately.
