Don't be late, the tour departs on time (Extra cost to join the tour once it departs are on the clients who lose the tour) Visit three of the region’s contemporary and centennial wineries, tasting the wine with the winemakers amid medieval towns, old vineyards and gorgeous picturesque views.
The first stop is a Boutique winery. The winery produces high quality wines from its own organic vineyard, planted around the winery. The advantage of Madrid wineries is that the distances are closer. Just 30 Kms away from Madrid you feel transported several hundred kilometres way ahead, and several decades, if not centuries, way back. Madrid's Region's countryside, coated with vineyards and historical towns, that supplied wine for the capital since its very foundation (since its conquest by the Castilians from the Moors actually). About 19 miles (30km) away from the capital’s center, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Madrid's main winemaking area, Las Vegas de Madrid, known as Vinos de Madrid – a Spanish Denominación de origen (DO) territory. All wines produced here adhere to strict production guidelines so they have are able to proudly display the DO Madrid labels on their bottles – an indication of the region's high-quality wine.
Next, we arrive to another Madrid town where we will visit the second winery. The guide and the winemakers will instruct us about the wine process while we taste more wines. Madrid Denomination of Origin is not as well known as the others, but it is coming up as a region of great wines. 900 years of winemaking tradition at the fertile vegas region (riverbanks) where rivers Manzanares, Tajuña, Jarama, Henares, and Tajo meet. Or south of Guadarrama's Sierra's granite foothill. Environmentally protected territories that where the exclusive wine suppliers of the thirsty and growing new capital of the sixteenth century Spanish Empire.
Third stop: Bodegas Jesús Díaz e Hijos. One of the oldest wineries in Colmenar de Oreja and located on an old Franciscan convent. They have been making wine for over 100 years The production of their wines continues on large clay jars such as has been done in this area for centuries. We will also visit its wonderful centuries-old caves where the wines rest.
End of the tour back to the meeting point. Please note that this itinerary is an example only and may be subject to change. Modern and traditional winemaking coexist in the Tagus River Valley, the historical and current wine region of the Madrid province (Certified Denomination of Origin Vinos de Madrid). The Madrid wineries selected are a mixture of modern and traditional styles. All of them show a different aspect of winemaking. The selection of wineries depends on the day's availability. At the end of the tour, we will also recommend things to do and food to try in Madrid, ensuring you make the most of your time in this vibrant city.

Really fun. Great tour. Highly recommend!!
Absolutely wonderful time!! Guide was awesome and met some very cool people. Would book again!
We couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Ismael brought so much knowledge and passion to every stop, turning what could have been a standard tour into something genuinely memorable. He clearly loved sharing the history and details, and he did it in a way that kept everyone engaged and interested the whole time. What really stood out was how thoughtful and flexible he was. He paid attention to what the group wanted, adapted on the spot when needed, and made sure no one felt rushed or left out. It never felt like he was just going through the motions—he genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. On top of all that, he was an absolute pleasure to be around. Easygoing, warm, and genuinely personable, he had a way of making the whole group feel comfortable and welcome from the start. You could tell he enjoys what he does and likes connecting with people. If you’re looking for someone who knows his stuff, goes the extra mile, and makes the day feel effortless and fun, this is your guide. We’d book with him again without hesitation.
I am NOT a 5 star person, but this tour deserves nothing less. Every winery was amazing. Not just wines, but great tours. Misiel sp. Was a great tour guide. Highly recommend!! Plenty of food at each stop.
Fantastic tour with Ismael. We loved the community that came with it.
Giuseppe was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed the places and dishes he chose as well as his historical facts.
Ismael was an awesome tour guide! He was very informative and the wineries selected were really great. Best of all the wine was delicious!

super nice ismael. nice trip nice tour nice introduction. Had a perfect day
It was amazing!!! Worth every penny 😊. The history, the wine, the friendliness of the guide. My group loved it!
Nacho was excellent, very informative. I've been living in Madrid for 7 years but still learned so much about wine and the region.
It was amazing nico, was amazing 👏
Ismael was extremely knowledgeable and made everyone on the tour feel valued and welcome. All 3 places, including the hosts Esther, Roberto and Juan were excellent and they all supplied excellent snacks and nibbles. Ismael showed a passion and desire to help that surpassed other guides. I have visited Napa valley, California among others and this was the most enjoyable.
Muna was increíble, and very knowledgeable, delicious wines- especially the first one- Andres Morate. The snacks were lovely. Thank you all! What a fantastic time.
This was the highlight of our time in Madrid. We went to three small family wineries all with delicious wine and food. Our guide, Muna was outstanding and knowledgeable. Experience this winery trip! It is fantastic!
Muna was an excellent guide with a ton of historical and wine making knowledge. Loved that it was three small, family owned wineries and that we could experience these tours with some of the people still responsible for creating these amazing wines.
Muna was an incredible guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and took us to amazing small family wineries. Take this tour!!
Muna was incredible. The wine, the people and the tour were unforgettable!
Fantastic tour of three quite different wineries with great insights and knowledge from our awesome guide Enrique. Wonderful wines and local snacks made it all very special
Enrique was fabulous. A knowledgeable guy, enthusiastic and entertaining . 3 fantastic wineries 🍷, all unique. A very memorable experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had an amazing day! Enrique was amazing. Enrique is fun, very informative, and entertaining. The three wineries we went to were very unique and impressive. Would highly recommend this tour, especially with Enrique!! We didn’t want it to end:)
Great experience with Ismael as our guide. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect i cant explain we finish in love numa and all team
Even if I was alone, it was a great experience.
We had a wonderful day out and Muna was a wonderful guide. The 3 wineries were all interesting and unique. Muna and all of the hosts at the wineries were all very knowledgeable and welcoming. The tapas served at each winery also enhanced the experience. We particularly enjoyed visiting the caves at the final winery. The bus was also comfortable. My only recommendation is to eat a big breakfast before you go as you start drinking wine at 10:30!
We had a wonderful time touring modern and historical wineries on this tour. We’d been on multiple wine tours in Spain so far and Ismael was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful tour guide we’ve had. He explained all of the historical context of the places we visited as well as detailed explanations on the wines we tasted and the tasting notes. Would definitely recommend this tour to learn more about the wine region around Madrid or even as a nice day trip from Madrid.
Ismael was a wonderful guide. He shared interesting insights and lore about the region as well as history of each of the wineries.
Ismael was fantastic and so knowledgeable about history and wine production! So happy with my tour, great time. And like a solo trip very recommended, you will meet great people from all the world and make friendships.
Ismael was wonderful!!! He told us all the history and made sure we had a great time. Wineries were all family owned, beautiful, and he’s a great driver. Highly recommend!’
Ismael was a fabulous tour guide who was incredibly knowledgeable. His English was great for us Americans who cannot understand much Spanish. The thought put into the wineries selected was much appreciated, a great mix of modern and historic. 10/10 would recommend this tour, I learned more about wine on this tour versus any wine tour in the states.
Ismael was awesome - it’s amazing that we had a WSET DIP guide on our tour - he was excellent in describing the growing regions of Spain, the wine making, and distinguishing the different wineries from one another. We live in Napa and I work at a winery, I was so impressed by this experience! I highly recommend for wine lovers of all levels of experience!
Great opportunity to see some of the cool wineries in Spain. Both winery and tasting rooms. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
We were a group of 8 people from different English speaking countries but meshed well with our enjoyment of wines, learning about Spanish/Madrid wine making and especially sampling several different wines from 3 of the regions Bodegas. Very impressed with our guide's knowledge on wines and the local traditions. Bush based vine plants and other unique characteristics of how they grow/produce the grapes to fermentation in Tinajas, and storage in cuevas.
Carmen is a very lovely, personable and knowledgeable guide and made this three winery trip quite remarkable. The only negative for me that two of three wineries visited were city bodegas. This is more to Viator scheduling then to the quality of the trip and the guide performance. But all in all it was very nice.
I was very impressed by what we managed to cover. Leaving I feel I’ve not only gotten a lovely experience outside of Madrid, seeing some of the country and the villages outside of the capital. I also got a crash course in wine making as well as wine tasting. Also snacks 10/10. Thank you Carmen!!
Super knowledgeable! Very good guide keen for us to have a good experience!
Really nice experience!! Even if you are solo, do it.
Carmen was a lovely tourguide and was very knowledgeable about the the wines, area and pretty much wine in general. Very nice tour!!
Great experience, nice food prepared by wine seller himself. Carmen was a great enthusiastic person who knew her stuff very well. I got to taste a lot of wine. Als je dit leest trek een bak.
