Great tour, well guided, very effective E-Bikes. This was well worth the price! I really enjoyed it.

Itinerary
A charming square in Madrid’s old town, Plaza de la Villa features medieval architecture and historic buildings. You’ll see the 15th-century Casa de Cisneros, the elegant Casa de la Villa (former town hall), and the Gothic Torre de los Lujanes. It's a quiet, atmospheric corner that transports you to Madrid’s civic past.
This iconic rectangular plaza has been Madrid’s social heart since the 16th century. Surrounded by uniform red facades and arcades, it’s a hub for street performers, markets, and terraces. Spot the bronze statue of King Philip III and imagine coronations and bullfights that once enlivened the square's paved floor.
A smaller, less crowded square just steps from Plaza Mayor, Plaza de Pontejos exudes a quaint charm. Unique pigeon wire domes top the central kiosk, and the terrace cafés offer a tranquil retreat. It’s an intimate pause between more bustling landmarks.
Madrid’s central meeting point, Puerta del Sol, buzzes with energy. Look for the famous “Kilometer Zero” plaque marking the city’s distance scale, the beloved Bear and Strawberry Tree statue, and the buzzing crowds around shops, cafés, and street artists.
Known informally as Cánovas Square, this elegant roundabout is centered around a majestic fountain of Neptune. It’s a popular meeting point and a scenic spot, framed by grand boulevards and bustling with traffic and life day and night.
One of the world’s premier art museums, the Prado houses masterpieces by Velázquez, Goya, El Greco, and Bosch. Even pausing outside, the museum's neoclassical façade and grand entry set the stage for an unforgettable glimpse into Spain's golden artistic heritage.
Bordering the Prado and Retiro Park, this small square honors painter Bartolomé Esteban Murillo. It’s shaded and serene, with benches and low-key charm—an ideal spot to relax and reflect after viewing fine art at the museum.
Madrid’s oldest railway hub, Atocha Station combines commuter bustle with architectural appeal. Admire the grand iron-and-glass hall, the memorial garden of native trees, and the tropical indoor garden—an oasis amid rushing travelers.
This vast green lung, once the royal family’s private retreat, invites you into peaceful pathways, grand gardens, and boating lakes. Highlights include the Rosaleda (rose garden), the peaceful paseo alongside the lake, and dancers or musicians on its promenades.
A surprising find within Retiro Park: this circular plaza features the dramatic Fallen Angel statue, one of the few in the world depicting Lucifer. The moody sculpture evokes questions of myths and rebellion, offering a thought-provoking break amid greenery.
A grand neoclassical gate that once marked the edge of the city, Puerta de Alcalá stands proud at Plaza de la Independencia. Its five arches and sculpted details are a beloved photo stop, especially dramatic against the backdrop of leafy boulevards.
One of Madrid’s most photographed fountains, it depicts goddess Cibeles riding a chariot pulled by lions. It symbolizes the city’s spirit, and nearby landmarks include the grand Palacio de Cibeles. The flow of cars and celebrants makes it feel alive.
A broad, welcoming plaza dominated by a monument to Cervantes and flanked by twin towers. With its long fountains and leafy promenade, this is a sociable and scenic hub that's perfect for photos and street-life watching.
Facing the Royal Palace, this formal square is laid out with symmetrical gardens and bronze statues of Spanish kings. It's a regal gathering space, offering photo-worthy perspectives of grand architecture and classic landscape design.
The city’s official royal residence may be used for state ceremonies, but its vast exterior gives a majestic finish to the tour. You’ll cycle past its grand façade, marble courtyards, and ornamental gardens, feeling its royal legacy in every corner.

Awesome guides and fun tour. Great job giving info about various sites and telling us how to navigate some crazy city traffic. Would 109% book again. Wonderful way to get introduced to a new city!!!
This is the sixth bike tour I've been on in the past two months, and it was definitely the worst of them. Part of it is Madrid. It was probably my least favourite city in Spain (I've visited 12). And I usually love big cities. In spite of having wide boulevards, there's little proper bike infrastructure in the city. There was maybe 1 out of 12 km of proper cycling infrastructure. Compared to Paris, Barcelona, Donostia and Bilbao, Madrid's infrastructure was poor, and it was a lousy ride to take a 10 year old child on. Secondly, the bikes. I went with a bike without e-assist. It was largely fine, but needed some gear adjustment. They did not have panniers or a basket to attach to my bike, which was disappointing; other providers in other cities had given these to me. What was most disappointing, however, was the insistence that we all take e-bikes, including my 10-year-old. I asked if that was even legal in Spain, and they said it was. So he took it. But it was stuck and wouldn't turn right very much. The main person at the desk (not our guide) insisted this bike was fine and did not adjust it. It took me, the client, to adjust the bike's stem so my son would be able to turn safely. The company did not make me feel confident that they knew what they were doing. The guide said before the ride that my son should be right behind him. But as we biked to our first stop at Plaza Mayor, he went ahead and lost our son from his sight. I recognize that it's not always easy to look behind while biking, he did lose us as a family in a very tight area where there were delivery trucks near the entrance to the plaza. We had to remind him about what he had said at the outset of the ride. It also seemed quite rushed. I'm used to the suggested time being shorter than the actual time of a tour. This tour was scheduled for 2 ½ hours; it wrapped up in 2 hours. I feel more time could've been used to talk to us about what we were seeing in between stops (though maybe the chaos of Madrid's streets/our route precluded this), and enable us to enjoy the architecture around us. Finally, the guide had only lived in Madrid for a year. I know it probably shouldn't matter, but there is a lot of context to Spain that takes a long time to build up. I've been learning about the country for many years, and don't consider myself an expert, but I could probably have provided more useful context about the country and the people had I given the tour (not the sites, which he did well on and provided some interesting information, but the broader context of Spanish/Iberian history). That said, there was definitely some interesting sites along the way and useful context about them, as well as tips to visit them (e.g., the Prado and Reina Sofia), and the guide did take photos of us, and was generally helpful.
It was my first time riding an E-Bike and it was a great experience. The tour guide was very friendly and knowledgable. Got to see some nice sites and 2.5 hours was a good length of time to do this.
Highly recommend this tour. We had the BEST guide, Eric. He speaks English which made the tour outstanding and memorable. I normally don’t tip on tour but I did on this one. Gratuity well worth it.
Highly recommend! Great way to see the city. Our guide Eric was the best!
Our guides were wonderful! Our flight was delayed so we ended up missing our time by half an hour. We showed up and they moved us to a later group for no charge. So funny and knowledgeable
The tour was such a wonderful way to see some highlights of Madrid. Our guide, Yuri, was fantastic. He was well informed, he gave thoughtful answers to all of our questions, and he was so kind.
David gave us a truly personal experience. We visited a lot of great places, the pace was great, and we had a lot of time to hear about Spain and its history. Highly recommended!
We took the City tour with David as our guide. Our tour was very informative and it was fun to see the city via bike. David shared a lot of important historic information with the group. Thank you😀
We had a fantastic morning riding around Madrid . You cover so much more ground and see a lot more sites on bikes than on foot . We stopped at many interesting places and our guide was very friendly and informative. The e bikes were very comfortable and easy to use.
Our guide Dmitry was great what an amazing way to see the city and all the main attractions. The bikes were easy and comfortable .
If you want to have a fun and informative time then I highly recommend this ebike tour! We moved around and learned about various landmarks with our guide. We learned enough to help us choose what we wanted to do over the next few days. Our guide, David, was friendly and knowledgeable!
My 13 year old son loves doing E-Bike tours when we travel to see new places. Our guide, Lana, gave us a great tour of the beautiful city! We enjoyed biking through the city and a large park, making stops along the way for her to talk to us about the places and take photos. We had a wonderful time!
My girlfriends and I had a fabulous time on this Madrid e-bike tour! We received such a warm welcome from the team, who then showed us how to use the e-bikes before we set off on a fantastic tour around the city centre, taking in all the main sights. Our guide, David, was absolutely lovely and full of interesting anecdotes and stories about Madrid. He made the experience fun, engaging, and really enjoyable. We had the best time and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Madrid!
Excellent choice. Nice overview of Madrid easily accomplished on e-bikes. Our guide was very helpful, pacing the trip to accommodate my slow, unsure wife.
Excellent, saw many highlights of the city, had a small accident within the group during our ride and our guide was very calm and handled it appropriately. Had a wonderful time, would recommend and do again.
This was great! Even though we usually choose manual bikes, I recommend the e-bike option. Madrid has a lot of hills and it can be rough in the heat. This is a great way to see a lot of the city.
This was our first time in Madrid so the tour was a great match. We visited over ten of the top first "musts." There was ample time at each stop to hear a brief history, ask questions and walk around and take pictures! The e-bikes were in great condition and offered a mildly activity to keep all family participants happy. After a long flight it was the perfect thing to do on day 1 to get moving! Our guide was personable, friendly and adaptable.
Anna was an amazing guide through the city of Madrid! She was very knowledgeable and it was a perfect tour to see the city sights!
Loved this! So much fun! The guide was amazing and I got to see so many parts of the city. We stopped at some really great spots. Would highly recommend!
David is very sagacious about Madrid's history & locations and engaging as well. Wouldn't consider anyone else better.
We had a lovely time on our tour but there were a few things that made it a 4 star experience. First, the tour was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours and it comfortably with less than two. Second, our guide was very nice however he knew basically nothing about Madrid. We stopped at each stop for about 30 seconds where he would rattle off a short paragraph he had memorised and then he would jump back on the bike and we would ride away. We had a nice time riding around Madrid, and the bikes were in very good condition so the ride was comfortable. However, I do tours like this to learn about the city and I left the tour feeling like I hadn’t learned a single thing.
We only had a few hours in Madrid and are so glad we did the E-bike tour. It was a wonderful and fun way to take in many sights of the city. Our guide, David, had excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable. He was even quick when he had to change a flat tire and gave us a great restaurant recommendation. We would definitely do the bike tour again. The E-bike was a huge plus!
So much fun riding through the streets of Madrid and seeing the sights with David. The kids loved the e-bikes and we enjoyed the brief overview at each stop. Great way for an intro to Madrid.
Lana and Brian were amazing. My family had some struggles and they accommodated us. Even one of my family had a muscle cramp and we had to go back early and they help us with that. So much info and a lot of fun. Thank you so much. We highly recommend this tour with the E bikes.
I booked this for 3 adults and 2 littles. Easy booking and payment online. Easy to find the meeting place, and they have well maintained e-bikes. Asked for a child carrier on 2 of the e-bikes, and had no issue with that. Helmets provided for the children no charge. If an adult wants one, you can have one. Not sure if there's a charge. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. There were 3 staff members amongst our group. My grandbabies were getting tired so, at the 2 hour mark of the tour, one of the staff took my family back to the meeting spot so we could get on our way back to our Airbnb. The various stops we made were great. Beautiful scenery. If traveling with young children, I would recommend a time slot that's not at peak rush times as you sometimes bike in traffic. We picked Sunday morning at 10:15 as it fit our schedule, and would be cooler. We didn't realize it was a great time in regards to less traffic, too. It was a wonderful experience! We highly recommend this e-bike tour!
Our experience with this Madrid bike tour was unfortunately disappointing. While the staff at the pickup point were friendly and the location easy to find, the actual ride felt unsafe. Cycling in Madrid means sharing the road with cars, and without dedicated bike lanes — combined with us being used to riding on the opposite side of the road in Australia — we never felt at ease. Our guide, a young man, rode ahead quickly and left us behind at several traffic lights. We lost sight of him almost immediately and couldn’t tell where he was going. Less than five minutes into the tour, we decided to return the bikes. Back at the venue, the main staff member offered to take us to a park to ride, but no refund was offered. Overall, I would only recommend this tour to people who are already comfortable riding in Madrid’s traffic conditions.
Our tour guides were exceptional and knew so much about Madrid and more! They kept us safe and empowered the kids to lead! Highly recommend this group!
It was a fun tour of some of the Madrid highlights. Be aware that the regular bikes are small and won't fit someone taller than 175 cm. I had to upgrade to an ebike, which are larger
Our family had a wonderful time with Orange Fox !! Great people to work with , very helpful. The tour was awesome, Brian is an excellent tour guide . He gave enough time for sightseeing and picture taking , good eating tips too !
A great experience with Fox Tours. The E-bikes were extremely comfortable and easy to use. The tour was fun and informative. What impressed us the most aside from the tour was the customer service. My wife and I arrived 10 mins late and the group had already departed. The owner shut the shop down and personally took us to meet the group at the first stop. We were extremely grateful and taken back by the level understanding and customer service. 10 out of 10 for us.
You have the option of e-bike or regular bike, but only do regular bike if you’re a relatively active person. If you’re not, definitely do the e-bike. There is some hill work on this tour and we bike the gran via which was a little scary with all the cars and buses but totally doable. Our guide David comes off a bit stoic but totally warms up throughout the tour. He is so informative and encourages us to ask questions. He even offers to take group photos. We really had a great time!
Excellent customer service and experience. E bike was awesome to use. Very well spoken guides. Get around the city in no time
If you are an experienced bike rider get the manual bike, if you aren’t get the electric bikes. There will be small hills so be prepared. It was a lot of fun especially with the electric bike.
No helmet proposed, no headsets so leader could communicate and monitor group, no bell on bikes to warn pedestrians. Guide was nice enough, no sense of humor and tour was decent. Wouldn’t recommend this tour there are other providers that do better. I’ve done one last year much better
Had a chance to 6-7 of the primary spots to see in Madrid. Also got intel for restaurants and access to sites that unfortunately were closed due to the Pope’s visit.
Very interesting tour! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided insightful explanations about the sites and history that tourists would find most interesting. Riding the e-bike was both fun and relaxing, making it a great way to explore the area. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an enjoyable and informative experience.
This tour is great for an introduction or overview of Madrid. It is also good if you have a short time to visit the city. Traffic in a few places is challenging but manageable if you pay attention and listen to the guide. Lana was our guide and she did an amazing job. First-class!
Excellent 2.5 tour of all the Madrid highlights, with lots of stops for pictures. PLEASE get the e-bike. I wasn't originally plannimg to (45 year old active male), but is was SO necessary (lots of stops and starts on hills) and SO enjoyable. There will be some cycling in traffic, so not for the faint of heart (never felt at all unsafe though).
Tour ended up being great but was very frustrated that I booked a 10:15 bike tour through Viator but the tour actually started and left at 10:00. The manager communicated via What’s app and was able to guide us to catch up with the rest of the group. We also booked standard bikes and got the upsell to Electric bikes which was slightly annoying because the hills weren’t very steep and would have preferred the exercise. Tour was good and saw some highlights of Madrid- palace, churches, parks, neighborhoods, etc. . .
Be prepared for a lot of traffic but I did trust the Spanish 🇪🇸 drivers they seem to have respect for cyclists
Our guide, Dimitri, did a great job on this tour. We had ebikes that were really fun to ride. He was very well-informed about Madrid and all of our stops. Riding the ebikes down the middle of the "main drag" was exhilerating!
Very creative and fast way to discover historical and attractive places in Madrid. Many thanks to entire team - Aybek, Olga and Dymytry
I would highly recommend this bike tour! We hit all the highlights while on our tour. This bike tour definitely took me out of my comfort zone, I rode the bike down city streets that I would have never tried on my own! 😳. Seeing Retiro Park by bike is a must, it’s so large I could never have covered that much ground on foot. Yuri was a newbie guide but I would give him a A+ for effort.
Very dangerous and the guide had no personal knowledge of Madrid. Terrible. The guide was not at all in touch with the group. The group was too large for him to handle
The bike tour was great but the guide’s English was lacking and he didn’t communicate very well. We often felt like we didn’t know what was going on or where we were headed. He also didn’t give us a ton of info at each stop. At one point he even read facts from his phone. Not sure if he was new or what.
This operation is not very professional! They gave little instruction up front. Our guide, Uri, from the Ukraine read to us from his phone about the sites that we were visiting. we have done other E bike tours in Portugal and Spain, and this one was sketchy to say the least.
Great way to get a glimpse of Madrid and see the sights you’ve read about. I was happy to ride into Retiro Park and learn a little of biking lanes and traffic lights in the City. Shout out to Daniel our guide for calling and getting a replacement bike after I got a flat tire!
The guide did a fantastic job getting us through the city with a big group. A perfect why to see the city.
