This was such an amazing tour!! Besides telling us lots of history and background-information, he tells a lot of funny stories about the city, its people and history. He gets the whole group laughing and exited for the next stop! The tour is not too long and easy meeting point.

We had an excellent time on the tour with Nick the tour guide. His knowledge and how he interacted with the group was exceptional. Giving us history and the up to date things that are going on in Madrid currently.

A great personalized tour for our group and a well spent morning. Our guide Nic always tried to keep us in the shade during the explanations, to protect us from the scorching Madrid sun, and he gave us lots of historical information and curiosities about the city center places we were visiting. Also extra recommendations for what to see and do that weren't included on this tour. If you have the time, I definitely advise you to join one of their tours.

Our guide Nick was incredibly funny and engaging throughout the entire tour — not a single dull moment! He made the whole history of Madrid easy and interesting to understand, and all the food recommendations were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! 👍

This walking tour was an EXTREMELY fun and informative tour. Nick was incredibly friendly and made the entire 2.5hrs feel like I was just walking the city with a friend—or a tio. He had much knowledge and fun tidbits of history and trivia that just showed how much he loved the city. It was well paced and I felt like I got so much out of it. I would easily take any of his tours again, no hesitation

Great tour! Nik is very good at keeping the explanations lighthearted and interactive, which makes the tour more fun and memorable - I can still recall many of the key points. His props (folder with images and more) also help to that end. The structure is great too: roughly chronological and including a lot of the key attractions, in a dynamic but not too long walking route. We also got to see him adapt the tour to the pace of the group, so he seems versatile. While the explanations don’t go too in depth initially, Nik was able to answer all our questions after the explanation stops, when he also took time to get to know the guests.

Our time with Nic was awesome. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about this history of Madrid. He gave us great suggestions to food and places to check out, had we had more time we would have taken him up on those. We learned so much about this beautiful City.

I recently had the privilege of joining the Tio Tours Medieval Walking Tour and the best word to describe it is, WOW!!!!!! Our group was small and intimate- just a married couple from North America and myself. Nic fostered a fun learning environment for us all with his enthusiastic and friendly personality while sharing his wealth of knowledge. His passion for this city is evident and absolutely contagious. Highly informative details were provided throughout the tour in a well prepared and organized manner. I saw Nic was a fellow Australian so I selected his tour for my stay in Madrid. He did not disappoint. Funny, informative and energetic, the tour made my first day in Madrid superb. Nic is a super tour guide with very good knowledge of the city, and is a very charismatic person. Highly recommend. My tour was a week ago now but I'm still looking back on it! It is also a very good to way see the main parts of the city while learning a lot about its history, without a guide this information gets lost on you.

Fantastic Tour! Original theme, on the Moorish past of Madrid, which made it stand out from other tours and was the reason for my choice. It included very interesting and often overlooked sites. Nic, the tour guide was a charm. His passion for what he does truly transpired. He is knowledgeable, engaging and fun, and spiced up the tour with some secrets and prizes. With only a few days in Madrid and so much to see, this was the BEST decision we made! In just 3 hours Nic made us feel as if we had been there for a week! Funny, entertaining, personal and wonderful to have a sense of the incredible history of Madrid and Spain - in just a few short hours... So many things we would have missed if we weren't with our passionate and fun tour guide. Like how can you tell which are the most authentic restaurants? Where to experience the best local food, what's happening with all the different architecture; the Moors, the Gothic and Christian ...and the history that unfolded as seen in these very buildings on the tour Nic took us through. We were a small group on the day, so it was a treat to stop at a few places along the way and be able to go at our own pace. Nic's knowledge, passion and expertise in sharing these stories is such a treat, it's the best way to very quickly feel like you have experienced Madrid - in just 3 hours!! Highly recommended 👌
