Abel was very knowledgeable about the history of Madrid . The food was amazing and he was very helpful finding food my husband that’s pescatarian can eat

Abel took us to see many historic sites in Madrid and was knowledgeable about each one! We also were able to try local cuisine.

Abel created an amazing tour, with a perfect blend of history, engaging storytelling, and delicious tapas and drinks. We stopped by two food establishments, a bustling food market and a restaurant, both highly respected and established places. There was a delicious cocktail at each stop (juice or water available to non-drinkers). We had huge charcuterie platters to share at the market (assorted cheeses, meats, olives, bread, etc.) and yummy local sausages and garlic mushrooms with bread for dipping at the other place. Got a quick private of the Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world! Do not hesitate to book this tour.

This was one of the most enjoyable few hours that I have spent, walking around both usual and unusual Madrid locations with Abel, a most charming and engaging guide. He had our small group participating in the learning experience while knitting social relationships. Just a really uplifting experience.

There are many things to like about the tour, great for first timers in Madrid and if you want to get the one on one time with your guide, Abel is super knowledgeable. We had a great time!

Abel was a fantastic Tour Guide with a lot of knowledge about Madrid, he highlight the difference between the west end and the east end of the city from the Mayor Plaza. I am glad we tour through the West Side with Abel and he had a chance to show us a lot of the more historical location on that side of the city. Abel even got us a visit into the oldest Madrid Restaurant, BOTIN, with a roasting oven that has not been turned off over the centuries. He also shared with us the very tasty lunch made with Potatoes product --- LOVED it!!!

First, Abel is a fantastic guide and great person. Our small group really enjoyed the time with him. This walking tour was a perfect mix of historical significance and enjoying some food. Also the perfect length of time covering a lot ground in a few hours. (But at leisurely pace) I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of tour stay, then you go back and visit the landmarks. Abel also had a lot of great recommendations for restaurants, things to do and what not to miss in Madrid. I highly recommend this tour and so glad I booked it over the others.

Abel Acevedo is a great guide. We loved visiting the Mercado San Miguel, and El Bombin Restaurant. The variety of the delicious tapas were enough to enjoy a taste of Madrids culture. Abel is bilingual and fluent so it was easy to understand. The tour guide told so many stories and facts which were all interesting!

We were visiting Madrid recently and decided to take a tour. We found the Intimate History & Food in old town which peaked our interest. I should also mention that my husband is not a fan of tours of any type. Before the tour, I was a bit confused about the meeting place, and Abel was responsive and provided concise instructions, which I really appreciated. On the day of the tour, we met Abel at the meet-up spot and started the tour promptly. Abel was charismatic, engaging, and knowledgeable. I must admit we asked some elementary questions, and Abel was gracious and patient with all of his answers. The tour was amazing. I learned so much about the history of Madrid and various locations along the tour. We had such a wonderful day, and based on the tour, we will definitely be returning to Madrid to explore all the sites in-depth. My husband also loved the tour and the conversation with Abel. Abel has such a positive disposition and is an engaging storyteller. The food he selected for us was amazing, and we definitely wouldn't have had the opportunity to find those hidden gems without Abel. I would like to say that our tour guide Abrel Was absolutely amazing and very informative and funny!!! The places he took us to eat were phenomenal. Great exercise. Absolutely phenomenal experience. Abel was fantastic tour guide and host. Very easy going and paid attention to my wife’s mobility issues. I loved this tour b/c it was a combo of history and food. It was just superb.

Abel was the perfect guide. Funny and engaging, he shared. Wealth of knowledge about Madrid while also taking the time to learn about each group member and engage with them.plus share about himself. My 9 year old daughter and I came to the tour straight off a flight - she was exhausted and not thrilled to be there. Not long into the tour he got her smiling. It was hard to choose a tour from the descriptions and I'm so glad we chose this one. You won't be disappointed. And so much food. We don't need to eat again!

A nice food tour with a lot of history about old Madrid by a very knowledgeable guide. Easy but educational.

My wife and Ioved our private 3 hour tour with Able. We really enjoyed all the sites and especially visiting the oldest restaurant in the world Restaurante Botin and seeing the wine cellar which opened in 1725. Able expressed such passion for Madrid’s history and we also enjoyed his humor. We would recommend this tour for everyone.

Abel is an absolutely excellent guide who clearly has a ton of passion and knowledge about Madrid! He is charismatic and adjusted the tour to account for what we had already seen. Plenty of excellent food and Spanish dishes that we hadn't tried yet, it was an perfect intro to the city.
