Selection of artworks in museum was poor. Guide disrespected guards’ repeated requests regarding his backpack. Weird obsession with pointing out sexual deviance in the art we viewed. I’m a museum docent at a major museum in the US and we would fire him.

I was told in a last minute cancellation due to not enough numbers of people book this tour. very disappointed!
Cancelled on us with only one hours notice. Very disappointing . Been told will be refunded . Also meant joining a long queue to get new tickets . Don’t use Viator for guide's . Unreliable
Our tour of the Reina Sofia with Adrian was excellent. He focused on key paintings in the museum such as Picasso's Guernica which vividly depicted the horror of war and several Dali paintings including Figure at the Window. He focused us on the many elements of the painting, including light, figures and a range of emotions. He discussed cubism and what to look for in the paintings which was well explained. It was a fascinating journey and an exciting afternoon.
We waited with others for 30 minutes but the guide never showed up. Very disappointing, especially for the price. We had to go through the ticket line and pay again to enter.
My tour was cancelled at late notice and I tried to get an audio tour but never heard back… I had to purchase another ticket. I hope to get a refund for the cancelled tour.
We had the best tour guide! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about art. He made our tour fun and impressive. ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅🎉✅✅🎉🎉🎉✅✅🎉✅✅✅🎉✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅✅
The guide Juan Antonio was great. We (my mom and I) loved it! Lots of interesting information.
Nice, informative way to experience to Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía. Hits the highlights and you have the ability to continue on after the tour to see anything else.
An excellent visit to Reina Sofia Museum. Our guide, Lola made the experience truly magnificent. It's difficult these days to find a guide who interacts so good with kids and has such a high level of knowledge about art. Kids and us, loved to meet Lola and would definitely book with her again.
Marta was fun and very well versed in the art!
This was a great tour and excellent tour guide. Ruben treated us to an enjoyable, educational and enlightening afternoon, explaining the history behind the art. We highly recommend Ruben!
The guide was friendly and informative. She knows our subjects well and gave us a very good overview of the museum and the key works of modern Spanish arts (mostly paintings) in the collection.
The tour guide, Rubens, gave a great tour. He was punctual and led the tour in a great overview of the various art forms represented along with historical insights to bring it all together.
In this experience you will learn about Cubism. Our guide, Lola, is very knowledgeable and made the visit very enjoyable. Guernica is a must see for all visitors!
Our guide Lola was fantastic! We focused on a few key paintings in each section of the museum and Lola was clearly passionate and very knowledgable. She pointed out details in each work and even asked us what we thought about some of the paintings. Her explanation of Guernica was wonderful. She guided us through the imagery and explained why Picasso made certain decisions in the painting. I actually did the free tour that the museum offered of Guernica afterwards and that guide was dry and difficult to follow. I’m so glad I did this tour!
A walk through the Reina Sofia was wondeful discovery with an excellent and very feindly guide Lola
We really enjoyed this afternoon with Lola at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Reina Sofía It was very pleasant and relaxing to reflect on contemporary paintings
Fátima was very knowledgeable and kind. She has great stories to share about the artists and paintings. Highly recommend. Thank you
Miguel was knowledgeable and helpful, the tour was very interesting, highly recommended.
The tour guide was excellent. Her tour focused on Picasso and Dali. That was great, for us, but I think we might have been shown some other things
Unfortunately this tour was not what we had hoped. We have been on a number of guided tours of different locations and art museums but honestly, this one got us in the sold out museum and that is about all. It was dry and not engaging. The guide did ok, but my kids were all very bored as was myself. There was so much extra information that didn't make the tour engaging and zero interaction with any people on the tour. It also moved incredibly slowly and did not hold our interest. The guide's attitude was "this pays my bills" instead of enjoying being a tour guide - which is what we found from other tour guides who did a fantastic job at other locations. We wanted to see La Guernica and we did. That was the good part.
Miguel guided us to the most important art pieces at the museum. Very knowledgeable and he made it easy to appreciate the masterpieces. The only thing is we did not get the email that we should be at the meeting area 15 minutes before the tour time, which was not the fault of the guide.
This is a wonderful way to see the highlights and to learn about the museum and the artists. Our guide took us to all of the major works I wanted to see and provided a lot of wonderful information about the artists, influences and other bits of information. I really enjoyed my time there and the tour ensured I did not miss anything. Very well done!
The guide did not show up. We left a message at their site, but no-one responded. We called at the phone number and a lady with very poor English told us to wait and she will try to call the guide. After 5 minutes, another gentleman called us and told us (in much better English this time), that the guide had an accident and could not come. After 30 minutes waiting in the rain, with no time to book another guide, we just went into the museum alone. Not the experience we would like to have.
We visited the Prado and the Reina Sophia Museum. Miguel was a very engaging tour guide. He pointed out many interesting aspects of the exhibition that were new to us. Miguel was very humorous and his presence ensured that everyone in the group felt equally included. We learned a lot and highly recommend Miguel.
Great tour guide. Very informative. The museum is very difficult to understand without a guide! Definitely would come back
Sofia is a very good tour guide who brought a wealth of knowledge of the contemporary museum and its works of art. She greatly impacted our understanding of the history of Spain and the important artists and artwork of the 20th century. We very much enjoyed the tour, the museum, and artwork.
Is beautiful museum and a huge place. A must do with a tour guide. The guernica is not to be miss. ….
Marta approached our tour so it would provide an in-depth focus on key artists in the collection - Picasso & Dali. She provided thought provoking discussion about the artists' inspiration & the time & place in their careers. An excellent tour.
Unfortunately we were dropped off on other side of the museum. Could not contact the tour guide thru the number provided. When we arrived at the meeting place no one was there. No one reached out to us.
Eva was terrific! She knows and presents information about the exhibits with energy and enthusiasm. Her keen insights and detailed knowledge of the artists’ personal and professional lives made the tour particularly interesting, informative, and memorable. Her details about the paintings were mind opening. Her passion for the topics was quite evident. Well worth our time and money with Eva as our guide! All in all a super experience!
This tour is a complete waste of time. The day before the tour, I get an email saying that the tour guide is not available, so the tour will become an audio-guided tour instead. I agree and the agent confirms that the meeting place is 4 pm at the entrance of the Sofia Museum. We start waiting outside the entrance at around 3:50 pm. We wait until 4:02 and there's still no tour guide, so we approach the ticket counter who informs us there's another entrance of the Sofia Museum. We run to this other entrance and arrive at 4:05 pm - still no sign of any tour guide. We ask the ticket counter who tells us that there is no tour group named Naturanda Turismo Ambiental who has booked a tour for that afternoon. I try to call the tour group, but there is no response. Finally, at 4:15 pm, we decide to just purchase tickets on our own.
Angelica was very nice, patient and her knowledge on the artists and their work, the history behind them was amazing . It was relevant and a learning experience.
The guide never showed up and we weren't notified. The tour company said he had an inconvenience. I expect a full refund!
Eva, the tour guide, was excellent. She provided the background of the building, as well as art movements at the time of the great artists Picasso, Miró, Dali. Masterpieces were beautifully explained, which enhanced the whole experience. One of the best experiences to have when visiting Madrid.
We loved the museum. Unfortunately the guide was a disappointment. He did not meet the group at the appointed place and consequently the tour started a half hour late. He did not use a microphone so it was often difficult to hear him and it forced us to remain close to him. The tour we took the previous day was entirely different (she met us at the appointed place and used a microphone). In conclusion, we would never want to have him as our tour guide again.
Tour was cancelled the morning of the tour as only two of us booked - we were given an audio guide instead but of course this was not as good as the guide would have been
A headset would be great, because it can be hard to hear the guide on crowded days. But it is a good introduction to the museum itself. A little bit more history on the artists / art would be good.
Ava was a great host and a perfect person to lead our tour. Well informed and knowledgeable of Dali and Picasso. We learned a lot. Thanks
Our guide Eva was outstanding- knowledgeable fun and brought all art to life for us! Highly recommend this tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our guide tour of the museum. Our guide (Think her name was Andalusia) was very knowledgeable and posed some interesting questions to the group on the art. Well worth the visit. Please note that this museum is very much geared towards Surealism and cubism forms of art.
Great experience. Andrea was an outstanding guide. Personable, kind, and very knowledgeable about the art in the Reina Sofia. She provided vital context and in depth analysis of the art in the museum. Great work!
We went today to this fabulous museum. We love art but didn’t study art so it was wonderful to have a guided tour! We hit the high points in a relaxed and informative format! I also especially like Andreas’s focus on lesser know female artists! Worth it to have a professional guide.
Christiana our guide was just amazing - her art history and general history knowledge was fabulous and she has a real passion for her subject- it was an absolute pleasure
Our guide Andrea was very knowledgeable & enthusiastic. We enjoyed our time at the Museo Reina Sophia with her. She was engaging & fun.
Once you read the instructions of where to meet your guide, you will have the best experience. They give you an ear piece, walk you through entrance with no lines, even in very busy days and our tour guide was very professional and knowledgeable. She explained impressionists cubists and also responded well to any questions we had.
Fantastic tour with Juan Antonio. It felt short to us and we learned more than ever. A visit to repeat with our children so they can appreciate culture and art more
The guide Juan Antonio explained things very well to us, he was very kind and attentive....
Angelica is super professional, I loved the tour!
