Such a fun day! Segovia and Toledo are beautiful, interesting locales with so much history. Our guide, Elena, was very informative and extremely nice. Definitely wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers if travelling in the fall as temps vary in each place. I would do this tour again!

This tour makes an interesting and informative side-trip from Madrid with many architectural and cultural sites including an impressive Roman aqueduct. The guide was very informative and friendly.
This was my 2nd time and loved it as much as the 1st. The sites are great and the drivers and hosts are amazing.
It was a wonderful day, full of information and beautiful sights. Our guide, Davis, was excellent, as was Maria-no, who showed us around his lovely city, Segovia. I highly recommend visiting these two cities as part of a group tour; not only are they rich in history —which the guides are very skilled at sharing— but getting around them (especially Toledo) seemed rather difficult without someone who knows the area well. And I say this as someone who has traveled solo to 35 countries and rarely joins group tours. A big thank you also to Juan Carlos, who was a perfect driver and ensured we traveled safely.
Although this is a long day of traveling, the fact that we got to explore Toledo and Segovia was well worth a full day from Madrid. Everything was run professionally and smoothly. Our English speaking guide was fantastic-knowledgeable and helpful. A great way to explore 2 medieval cities.
Excellent tour, great history and cultural insights. Large group breaks in to 4 smaller groups. Nice bus, very good hosts. The audio devices are not the best for hard of hearing like myself. Just one ear speaker and accent of guide made it so I could only understand about half.
Great way to see these sights. Lydia was an excellent guide and so informative. We were amazed how she moved from English to Spanish with no effort
Helena is a very knowledgeable tour guide- it was very interesting just to listen to her it was informative and not too loaded with facts - just about right! She also combines humour to her story at certain points of the tour - great experience
What you’re really getting is a pre-planned and coordinated bus service. There is maybe a combined 1.5 hours of walking tour, the rest is travel and free time. Our tour guide often repeated himself to fill time, struggled to answer off-script questions, and seemed unprepared. He had multiple verbal altercations with locals and other tour guides which was uncomfortable.
Our guide needs to improve her English. Since we also understand Spanish we could compare what she was trying to say in English during bilingual presentations. Everything was very rushed. No provisions were planned for people needing to use bathroom during the 12 hours of the trip.
Long day but worth it. Amazing castles, cathedrals and cities. Tour bus was very nice and tour guide was incredible.
It was a great experience to start our trip in Spain with this wonderful food tour, above and beyond. We usually start with a touring for any European city that we visit to get an initial idea about the culture and cuisines. This tour is the best we had in the last few years. Our tour guide, Sonia, is fantastic! She led us to a few carefully selected tapas restaurants (way better than the ones we went on our own based on internet recommendations). She paced the tour very well, giving us ample time to socialize and enjoy the food. She told us about the different kind of Spanish wines and how they go with different food. The tour was supposed to finish by 10:30, but she never rushed us, and stayed late with the group. Even after that, she took time guiding a few people in the group to explore night lives in Madrid. What a wonderful guide!
It's a wonderful trip but a lot of walking, make sure to take your comfortableshes. Loved seeing the sites and learning the history.
It was a great experience! The bus was good and on time . Saw a bunch of good sights. The English translation by Davis was good.
Excellent tour to see two cities in a day. Well organized and our tour guide is very knowledgeable. Our itinerary is like the following: 8:30 bus to Toledo 10:00 15 minutes walk to the plaza 10:15 start of the tour. 11:15 free time or Toledo cathedral. We did the cathedral. It was fabulous! 11:45 free time 12:30 bus to Segovia 2:30 arriving at Segovia and free time / lunch starts 4:00 start of the tour of Segovia and the castle 5:00 entrance of castle / free time 6:20 bus back to Madrid 8:20 we hit a bit of traffic The time spent in Toledo feels a bit rushed, wish we could stay a bit longer. Segovia is picturesque and cooler with weather but not as explorable. Overall a very good experience and excellent value for the tour
We paid for the Toledo Cathedral tour. However, our names were not in the list, and the guide simply asked for our headphones, he didn’t even gave us a change. We were very dissapointed we missed this visit. 😞
This is a great way to see two cities, but it is a very long day. We enjoyed both tours and felt that our guide was knowledgeable and helped us to appreciate both cities. Each had so much to offer. The only downside was that there were families with toddlers on our bus and they cried continuously which made it unpleasant, especially for a 12 hour day. I think the tour should not allow children under 5 for long bus trips like this.
Excellent tour full of so much beauty, history, and information! The tour guides and our driver were wonderful.
Overall it is a very nice excursion. The only thing was when it started the tour guide told me the bathroom was at the end of the tour. It took over 15 minutes to set up the groups and headsets In that time I ran into a fast food restaurant and used the restroom. Typically tour guides have always been concerned about the clients comfort. I was a bit disappointed by the attitude. Also the meeting place is on the street and no where near a restroom. It is a long ride that should have been mentioned in the things you need to know. Aside from finding a restroom it was well organized and the views are beautiful.
Our tour guide Deyvis was amazing! Punctual, knowledgeable, respectful and we learned a lot about historic facts. I highly recommend him.
The tour guide was excellent perfect for a summer day. The guide was knowledgeable and her English was really good
meeting place is well defined n easy to get to bus is clean n modern each bus is split into english n spanish groups led by different guides (1 guide would follow with the bus throughout) ear phones are provided for the walking tour group ticket n admission saves time getting to Toledo n Segovia in a day saves me a day for other sights
Amazing experience! Our guide Elena is the best! Always wilking to help and with a permanent smile that make everybody feel great! Thank you Elena
I feel the tour was well organized. Yes, not enough time to walk around in Toledo and maybe in Segovia. But you should go there on your own if you want more time to explore. I feel it was good value for money and time to get a feel of old cities outside of Madrid. I recommend it !
Wonderful guide! Helped with my wheelchair and guiding us through all the accessible areas. Very patient. Extremely knowledgeable!
Our day trip from Madrid covered Segovia and Toledo. The whole itinerary was well organized and timed and the transportation without a hitch. We enjoyed the guided tours of the cities and sights like the cathedral. We highly recommend this tour!
Overall quick overview of two great towns. Guide was very informative. Only negative was the restaurant in Segovia recommended by the guide. It was definitely a tourist trap and our mistake was that we chose to go to it rather than any of the others in town
The tour is well-organized. The itinerary has a good balance of organized part and individual free time. Our tour guide Deyvis Calderon is very knowledgeable and kind. He gave very clear instructions and very thoughtful for all the people in his group. Best experience! Highly recommend!
We got an uber to get to the meeting location as it was far from the center of Madrid and got there just in time. We paid more to see the Toledo Cathedral. Be aware if you chose this it will cut into your free time to wander the city. The tour of Toledo and Segovia was very informative. There were some issues with our ear buds connecting to English. In Segovia, we went with the tour guides restaurant suggestion. Food was good and portions were large, but our time to eat was very limited. We were crammimg food down just to be able to catch up to tourguide. I suggest don't get the meal of the day menu or if you do, each serving is plenty for 2-3 people to share. We asked the waitress of the portion sizes and she said it was just enough for one person which was very deceiving. Don't feel pressured to each get a meal. Order instead a la carte appetizers and share. We had to take our food home and the restaurant charged us extra to do so. Not happy about that. Both cities really need their own day of touring if you are interested in seeing the cities in a less hurried pace. My elderly mother was with us and it was a lot of walking and steps as one of the escalators in Toledo was not working. We were always trying to catch up for fear of being stranded by the tour as it happened to one person traveling solo on the morning tour of Toledo. My mom was exhausted from the tour. The tour guide was nice, friendly and knowledgeable providing some flexibility with wait times, but she had a timeframe she needed to adhere.
This tour was amazing! We were able to see so many sights ourvtiur guide, Davyson was very knowledgable. He spoke Englush and Spanish with ease. He was very personable and made the tour well worth our time.. We take home memories to last a lifetime of our tour.
A absolutely wonderful experience for an adventure out of the city into the old town with so much history! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the bus was very comfortable.
Let’s start out with sending people out in 39° heat with a bus that has no air-conditioning. It made the trip fairly miserable for all of us. The visit to Toledo did not give us enough time to see many of the places I have visited with other tours, especially the Jewish quarter and the Church of the White Mary. We were not given sufficient time to explore the basilica. When we went to Segovia, we were given a guide named Leticia who spoke in a monotone very rapidly and was difficult to understand. Yet, the other guide. Elena was excellent. Whereas we’re given ample time to have a wonderful lunch when we arrived in Segovia, We were not given sufficient time to explore the Basilica nor the Alcazar in Segovia. The trip needs at least one to two more hours to make it an acceptable tour by any standard. If I were Viator I would exclude IBE Tours from my list. They also need to have a different option of ear bud for people with hearing aids.
My tour guide Deyvis was amazing! He gave us an amazing tour. However I was very disappointed with the bus. The AC wasn’t working and it was extremely hot!! It was a long ride and this was torture !!!
Elena was very knowledgeable and organized. Definitely worth seeing these cities through this tour. It is a lot of walking with a lot of hills.
Overall, great experience except for two things. The host gave a lunch tame close to 3 pm and secondly, she took us to a remote (expensive) location for lunch at Segovia while many options are available close to attractions. Moreover, we had 1.5 h free time in Toledo between 11:00 am to 12:30 pm and yes she wanted us to wait for lunch till we reached Segovia. This was not a great guidance and service to travelers which included many seniors.
The bus was really hot and ac was not working. The guide spoke both English and Spanish but should complete her statements in one language. Hard to understand the way she was breaking this. The alcazar of Segovia was closed, and the tour company should notify it before as it’s a planned closure so travelers can choose a different date.
Bus was not first class. When first arriived in town, we had 15 minutes to get coffee and go to the bathroom. This wasn't enough time as our bus was full. The restaurant was ready for us. I ordered a cappuccino and became ill. In town, the group split up into 2 groups, english and Spanish. The in town guide gave us the incorrect meeting time of 12:40 not 11:40. The meeting point, after the cathedral, for those not going was the McDonalds square, "the only McDonalds in town. Not true. I googled and 3 different ones came up. I finally found the correct one at 11:30, and waited. At 11:45, I decided to meet the bus where we got dropped off but got lost. I contacted Viator and received a call immediately from our tour guide saying they had to leave. The bus had to leave and rightly so. I asked her the best way to return to Madrid, she said bus. That's what I did. I did leave my backpack on the bus. Our guide gave me the approximate return time and said I should meet them, which I did. Overall,
The tour is nice, but guide clearly does not want to be there.
The day involves about 5 hours of bus travel but the 2 towns are definitely worth visiting. Our guide Deyvis was informative and kept the day running smoothly, including pointing out restroom opportunities and a local restaurant to taste some of the local specialties.
A fabulous experience, very informative and a great place to visit. Some equipment was not working very well so a little bit hard to hear.
The audio didn't work in Segovia. It was very good in Toledo but the guides all had the same Chanel in Segovia which caused problems. Our guide spoke too fast with disjointed English so it was very had to follow (understand).
Tour guides and bus driver were excellent. Tour a bit too long. We started in Segovia, but by the time we walked up the electric staircases in Toledo, we were exhausted, and decided to skip the rest of the tour by the city. The tour by bus around Toledo, was incredible, really awesome.
Meeting point location is not convenient as it is not central Madrid.
We enjoyed our day trip to Segovia & Toledo! We were pleasantly surprised with what the two cities had to offer. The tours were well run and we liked our tour guide Davis. He did a great job of getting to know the people’s names in the group and making the tour personal for all of us. The bus got a bit hot at times, but that was our only complaint. We had a good amount of time in both of the cities and the admission to the Alcazar in Segovia was nice! I would recommend this tour for anyone looking to escape the city for a day!
We were unsure of what cities to visit outside of Madrid, but decided that these two were the most visited. I know that 12 hours seems long for a tour, but it was nicely balanced with a walking tour and free time at each place. Toledo is about 45 minutes south of the city and Segovia about 1.5 hours north. We started in Toledo and went to Segovia. Total of about 4.5 hours on the bus (45 to Toledo, 2:15 from Toledo to Segovia and 1.5 hours back to Madrid). All in all we were pleased with the tours. The bus was comfortable and the AC worked no problem. If you have a day, it is worth it to see both. If your time is limited, I would suggest Segovia over Toledo as we found it to be more charming and the castle offers amazing views.
The tour was perfect. Vanessa and Eva (local guide) in Toledo were good at it. Explained everything.
It was a great experience, after a few days in Madrid to get out of the big city and learn so much history of these places! Maria our tour guide was very good. She explained everything in Spanish and English and was clear as the times to be back on the bus.
Guia Alejandro was a wonderful tour guide!!
The tour guide took too long on the first half of the first leg of the tour in Toledo so we were rushed to the cathedral. We were left alone for the alcazar castle in Segovia.
The location was walkable to bus stations and accessible to train stations. Easy to get Uber.Check in time is flexible. Place was spacious and clean. David the coordinator is contactable via What's up.
