Wonderful introduction to Barcelona. Knowledgeable guide (Mateo) engaged even our reluctant kids. Thanks!

This was a great way to start our time in Madrid. Egle was a great tour guide. She did an amazing job balancing the adults desire for an orientation to the city with recommendations and keeping our 8 year old entertained. I highly recommend starting your family trip with this tour.
Great time, thank you. We would recommend. Everything was very easy to reach. Very nice tour guide. !
Our family of 7 -3 teen/preteen girls, parents, and grandparents had the time of our life with Julio on the Madrid Family tour! He picked up on our level of curiosity and humor right away and engaged us all in the perfect combination of history & local lore. His energy and passion were contagious and even after 20 hours of travel without sleep we & the girls went from dragging a bit to hanging on to his every word. His English is excellent and encouraged the girls to expand their limited Spanish history and language. Julio is ‘a people person’ and knew instinctively how to connect with each one of us individually and as group as well as how to tailor the tour to our interests. All with humor and spunk! Lucky us - a perfect introduction to Madrid. Our time with Julio will be one of the best memories of our 9 days in Spain.!
Lots of interesting facts shared about the City, old and newer parts, different neighborhoods, famous writers (Cervantes), and the culture and pulse of the city. Our guide, Julio, was a lot of fun, providing great details along a very manageable walk. Well-worth taking this tour.
Eva was a great adult guide, but when we started the tour it was clear to me she had no idea this was supposed to be as kid friendly tour w games and scavenger hunts as advertised on the Viator site. We had to address this after about 30 minutes of completely lackluster guiding . She tried to pivot to a children’s museum that you had to buy tickets for well in advance. She tried to get the kids engaged but having no experience w kids it was a fail. I blame this on Viator and not Eva as she seemed to have no idea it was supposed to be interactive kid tour. Eva really tried. She is a fantastic guide for adults. If anyone signs up for the Viator kid friendly tour I advise you to get I. Touch w your guide ahead of time to ensure a truly kid friendly experience.
Knowledgeable friendly tour guide, full of anecdotes about the city. He takes you through all of the main attraction points and more: Places like the oldest restaurant in the world, the oldest espadrilles shoe maker in the world etc…. Book with confidence.
Julio César gave us a really wonderful tour. He is a ray of sunshine and is extremely generous and informative. He was awesome with our 8 and 9 year old kids. We’d take a tour with him again in a heartbeat. Highest recommendation possible, especially for families with children!
Our guide Julian was awesome. We were traveling with a 5y/o and a teenager and he managed to keep them interested and entertained. We learned a lot from him. Our three hour tour went by smoothly. We walked through Madrid from Paseo del Prado to Palacio Real. Learned some interesting history details and walked through areas filled with culture and lots of little facts and that we would not have otherwise learned. We would highly recommend this tour, specially with our guide Julian. Thanks you very much for all your attention!!
Elena was an amazing guide! She is very outgoing, friendly and with a unique vibe. She showed us the hidden gems walking along small but not crowded streets of the hip neighborhoods of chueca and malasaña. She showed us some vintage shops which were the amazing! Later she took us to enjoy some "patatas bravas" which were delicious! We had an awesome time with her and recommend her as an excellent guide to learn from but also to share a good laugh with. 🙌👌
Highly recommended to take this tour with Elena on your first day to Madrid! Her information, maps and recommendations were extremly helpfull. Thanks!!! The trip was on july 2018, hope back soon.
My partner and I have been using walking tour guide's sevice for over 10 years but never have we had such an amazing tour guide. Very well prepared, systematical, professional on the one hand and kind, positive, and funny on the other. Full of good advice where to go and what to do. Will contact you via whatsapp beforehand and tailor the tour matching your preferences and interests. Will equip you with tourist map with interesting places drown, restaurants, local gems….After we had said good bye to her we followed her instructions about where to go/see/do/eat and felt that she really maximised our Madrid experience. Elena is a beautiful human being and we wish her a lot of private and professional success.
We were not in Madrid for very long, so having this tour is the way we saw most of the city. What we hoped to get was a brief history of the city and recommendations of places to visit in our limited time... and that's EXACTLY what we got! Elena arrived at our meeting place and kicked off our tour with a "Welcome Packet" and walked us through everything she put in it. She had maps, official tourism brochures, and business cards of places she recommended. It was such a great start and we still had the full tour ahead. The tour went without a hitch --- she mapped out our route and we did exactly that. We kept in touch with Elena as we traveled to other parts of Spain. She's someone who we would certainly connect with if we ever find ourselves in Madrid again. I hope she feels the same towards us, if she ever finds herself in our city!
We spent a fantastic couple of hours with Drica wandering around Chueca and Malasaña. She had lots of fasinating insights into the neighbourhoods and how their histories have evolved. Really enjoyed it and would heavily recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid and wants to see more than the typical red bus tour. Drica was lovely - very friendly, passionate and knowledgeable and was a briliant guide.
Fani was very accommodating, informative and fun to be around. My wife and I had a wonderful and fun time with Fani and hopefully come back to Madrid and continue visiting more spots with Fani. She is very proud of her city and wants you to experience and see the beauty surrounding Madrid... Thank you Fani
We very much enjoyed our tour in February 2019 (pre Corona !) with Beth who not also provided a wealth of information but also is a great person to meet. Has numerous stories on past and current Spain. Took us to a great local bar. Fun person to be with. Thanks !
Elena is a wonderful guide; she made us feel welcomed and explained history facts with ease; took pictures of us along the way, and presented everything in an entertaining and fun way. She made great use of our short time in Madrid, we look forward to seeing her again in the future. And we feel we made a new friend. Thank you Elena! (We traveled July 2017, and wanted to repost our experience with our guide)
Almost two weeks ago we met Elena. It was if we already knew each other. Elena amused us with her stories. She has a very nice way of talking and knows a lot. She is proud of her city. Although she really love her city, she didin't avoid to have a word of criticism now and then. and that is what we appreciate. It was a very nice kickstart tour. And the next time we'll contact Elena, for sure. When we said good bye, it felt as saying good bye to a friend. Thank you very much, Elena! We love you! Mateo, Francoise, Yvette and Yvon
Elena is a great host. She knows a lot of history and small stories about the writer/artist district of Madrid. She gave us an experience we could not get with a big tour group. Elena also knows a lot of shopkeepers and bar/cafe owners who shared their stories of their shops with us. A very good experience -- will do it again in another city. Thanks Elena.
This was the best money I spent on my entire European trip. My tour with Elena was fantastic!! She taught me all about Madrid's architecture and the historical beauty of various buildings. we also went to some fantastic shops and a great tavern. I'm generally not big on tours. I've had some really terrible ones in various locations (not in Madrid) and like to explore alone. My husband practically twisted my arm to buy this one, but it was wonderful. If you're considering a tour of any kind in Madrid, USE ELENA. I cannot recommend her highly enough!!
Elena arrived on time with a big smile, lots of energy and a warm welcome. From the beginning until the end we could see and feel her passion about madrid and it was a great mix of historical sites, great stories, hidden gems and tips for delicious food and drinks! We enjoyed our Tour very much and we thank Elena for her superbe guidance. We, 5 women in our early 40s, can recommend her a 100%!!! BR from Switzerland Kathrin & Co.
We cannot say enough about Elena! She was the best tour guide we had on our entire trip. Her knowledge about the area, history, customs, local culture and people is vast and amazing. She is enthusiastic, friendly and extremely charming. She speaks perfect English and Spanish, of course, and was eager to engage with my 18 year old niece, who is becoming proficient in Spanish. She was willing to customize our tour and came well prepared with maps, local event recs, restaurant recs, etc. She even picked up some last minute info. while we were on tour. Prior to our tour, she was in constant contact. When we first were set up with her, she let me know that she had a conflict, but insisted on finding us the best alternative. Thankfully, it ended up that she was available, but she never left us stranded and was willing to be helpful even when we weren't going to be her clients. She took some great pics of us and sent them to us right away. She ended her thorough tour by telling us that we could call her for any information or if we found ourselves in need of any help while in Madrid. She is the perfect tour guide and we all left with great knowledge of Madrid and a new friend. Thank you, Elena!
Walking with Beth was superb! My mom enjoyed it a lot. It's like having friend who's touring you around the neighborhood. She explained the area very well including it's history. But above that, she's great to hang out with. We ended up having tapas close to her house and having wine in plaza mayor. Her doggie Duke is also adorable and very smart. I would recommend Beth to anyone! :)
Dino was a fun host to have for our day in Madrid. I appreciated how he tailored his tour to our group’s love for food and drink. He gave us an insiders look in to the lifestyle of a Madrileño and we’re looking forward to bringing some of his culture home with us!(Pre-pandemic visit!)
Beth was a wonderful Guide and hostess for Madrid in 2019. She not only enlightened me with history but helped me learn to navigate the basics, like how to get a waiter's attention.😊 She was wonderful!
Great introduction to Madrid with Beth. In her bright and bubbly way Beth shared her extensive knowledge of old Madrid - not only its history but her personal knowledge from living there for many years. A very enjoyable afternoon.
We did the tour with Julian, a very attentive person with a lot of knowledge about Madrid and culture in general. He made the tour very enjoyable and taught us and explained many curiosities. It is definitely 100% recommended. Very good guide and good tour of the city although you have visited it before.
Pasamos una tarde bonita y divertida con Patricia nos enseño lugares desconocidos para nosotros. Muy buena experiencia
