Roger and Carlos were incredible with their knowledge of Barcelona. They made sure we arrived to the right location and also made sure left by high speed train without any issues. Above all else they were sensitive to the walking ability of my wife. They were careful to find shade and places to sit. I highly recommend Roger and Carlos as premier guides for any tour.

Best tour guide Jordi 👍 I'd come back. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS
My experience with Jordi was top notch. Great personality, extensive knowledge about the sights as only a native can have, patient & kind and flexible.
Was a good tour but way too expensive for the experience. Mirko was very friendly and knowledgeable about the various historic spots we visited.
Mirko excellent tour guide. Very good tips and explanation in Barcelona downtown. Thanks a lot. From a Mexican family.
This is the best trip I've ever booked with Viator. Lucas, the tour guide was spectacular and incredibly knowledgeable. I got to see everything I wanted. I'm thrilled for the experience.
So much too see! Meriko was our guide and he did a amazing job. He was very knowledgeable about all the sites during the tour. If you are looking for a day trip to Barcelona this a great way to make use of a short holiday in Spain. We are very pleased that we took this tour and would recommend this to friends and family!
Lucas was very knowledgeable about Barcelona . He did a very good job taking us around . We got to the train station in Madrid early enough . .contacted Lucas and let him know we were on the train .He was waiting for us after we arrived and called us . Really enjoyed the tour . Thanks Lucas for a great tour .
My reservation was for Wednesday, 10/9. While I was in flight Sunday, these pirates changed the tour to Monday. Monday was the day I had reserved for El Prado. I got the train station 30 minutes early, and there was NO trip advisor or group for Barcelona. The guide never showed up, so I missed the trip to Barcelona and the tour at El Prado for which I had paid for in advance. I expect a full refund for both events. This is the fourth vacation where this service screwed me out of money. Nathan Vogt Lubbock, TX
Great tour, Great Guide Mateo was brilliant, it’s taken a while to do this review but finally got there! Five star experience
The guide was very good but it was about a 20 minute or less Tour so it wasn’t worth the money it cost.
This was a great trip. Experiencing the high-speed train was fun, however my wife and I were given seats separate from one another, which on a 2.5+ hour trip was a bit of a downside. Once in Barcelona our guide took us through the history of Barcelona and Catalunya. We enjoyed the sights and sounds of this part of town. However, we were informed that after lunch we would be met by another guide who would take us on the rest of the tour. This was surprising, though the new guide was absolutely fantastic. He took us through the afternoon and shared a wealth of information with us. The second half of the tour was more interesting to us, mainly because the architecture was more to our liking than the first half. We made a comment about churros, which our guide ended up hearing, and he made sure to take us to a great place he knew in order to get churros. We were so pleased by his knowledge and willingness to adjust the tour slightly to accommodate our interest in the local food. Finishing the tour at the harbor was really nice as well. We had time after the tour to check out the shopping center and area to find food before the long train ride back to Madrid. I'd definitely recommend this to others visiting Madrid who'd like to see and learn about Barcelona while on a tight schedule.
This was an interesting overview of Barcelona. The first half of the tour took in the more contemporary part of the history of Barcelona including a great overview of the city from the art museum. The next half was in the older part of the city including the Sagrada Familia and the Gothic area, finishing up with a view of the Marina. Our two guides, Han for the first half and Mira for the second half were very knowledgeable and personable. It was a fun tour.
Subcontractor We is terrible. Never sent train tix then changed going/return times leaving only 7 hrs (originally leaving at 0700 return 19:48–now 0825 return at 1755). Wrong directions for meeting guide. 20 more mins lost. Guide unable to arrange taxi for whole group. 60 more mins lost. Tour consisted of walking to several high points but no communication while walking to discuss the area. Then had group almost running to metro to catch departing train. Chose wrong metro stop twice. 4 additional flights of stairs and 20 more mins lost. Because company changed the train departure by 1.40 hrs guide cut the tour short. Running thru metro and train station, guide tried to circumvent security and left us there. Train had already left. Worst tour I’ve ever experienced. Usually Viator is a great option often recommended to friends. Will not use them again! Ruined my memory of Barcelona.
Very poor communication from company - half of our group did not receive email with link to train tickets, information about where to meet guide incorrect (and per guide this is not first time this happened). Delay 20 minutes. Tour initially to start at 7, changed by company to 8:25 and return to Madrid by train at 5:55 That caused tour to be 2 hours less than we paid for. Waited one hour at a bstop for taxi to transport us to next site- taxi too small to accommodate all on excursions causing greater than 1 hour delay. Final straw was missing train back to Madrid due to guide error. Guide left before assuring we made train. Had to be rescheduled to next train back to Madrid at 7:48 pm- arriving Madrid 10::40 pm. Even the beautiful sites of the city of Barcelona couldn’t make up for these issues.
The guides were very friendly and gave us a great tour. They knew alot about the sites we visited. Good tour!
Our tour guide was SO SWEET and very knowledgeable!! Thoroughly enjoyed the tour through Barcelona! The houses were probably my favorite part.
Our tour guide was awesome. I loved the convenience of being able to see Barcelona from Madrid in a day. BUT-I am giving it four stars instead of five because we didn't know we would walk extensively in the heat. There is a lot of stairs to walk up too, while some of the escalators didn't work. If you have health issues, be mindful of this. Drink a lot of water, dress for the weather, and bring some snacks with you if you want. The other thing was that taking the Madrid train for the first time in Spain was intimidating, especially when we had to find someone at the station who spoke English. We didn't know which terminal to enter in. Going back home from the Barcelona train station to Madrid was easier to figure out. The high-speed train ride was comfortable. Other than that, Barcelona is stunning. The people are friendly.
Our guide Mirko was wonderful and I give him 5 stars. I rated this tour lower as I felt the guides should have helped you more with getting on and off the trains. I don’t use the train system and it was confusing knowing if I’m in the right line for the train. Once we were in Barcelona we had trouble finding the guide at the meeting point. There were 8 of us and we all stayed together as we didn’t know what we were doing. This should advise this a waking tour as you walk A LOT. This tour could be improved if they gave some of the tour around the city in a bus so you can see the most of Barcelona mixed with walking. Also the tour guides should go in the train with you as well. We had trouble getting tickets at one train station. Again Mirko was a wonderful guide, the tour just needs some tweaking.
The moment I saw it I was overwhelmed. What a master piece work that there no competetor before and after! Gaudy was such a great person whose creativity was beyond our imagination. I surely recommend that everyone should visit la Sagrada familia.
The organization was well and we managed to see most important destinations. Our tour Guide Mirco was the best. However, I would love to have a clear schedule sent to my email or WhatsApp before hand of highlights of tour. Apart from that good efforts.
It is obviously impossible to do Barcelona on one day. But if you want to see it, and it’s not part of your main trip plan to Spain, I would totally reccomend this tour. In a span of about 12 hours, we went from Madrid to Barcelona, and were able to see highlights of the city’s history, beauty, architecture, and glamour. It was like meeting someone for the first time, and having a great first date. Can’t wait to visit Barcelona again for a few days. It’s a magical city. And just seeing La Sagrada Familia was worth the day trek! On another note, our guide Martìn was fun, kind, generous, knowledgeable, and made it the best day trip ever. Thank you!
The guy that was supposed to facilitate getting on the train was late. He hurried us to station and barely saw if we were all following behind him. He had mentioned needing to go to work so I’m not sure if he was late for actual job. We got to where tickets are scanned and at checkpoint they scanned tickets on his phone. We were given a second to take a picture of the train ticket from his phone with our phone, we were told gate 8. He then disappeared. When we got in line, our tickets on our photos in our phones did not scan except for 1 person who took a clear picture. We were told to step aside and they would manually be entered in. Phew I thought we had made it, but no. 7 people in our group and only 5 had train tickets booked under their name. Me and another person didn’t. We were not allowed to board the train. We missed our tour. Thinking back I realized we had introduced ourselves to the guy and he must have known those tickets were not ours. If we had taken clearer pictures of the ticket we might have gone not knowing they were not ours. We might have not been able to get back if the second ticket for ride back was blurry. Imagine not being able to get back from Barcelona at night. Blessed to have met Elaine from group that did not get to go on tour as well that was the only good thing about booking this tour,
Less than 24 hours before the trip, it was cancelled. Communication with this company was horrible. I sent them a message through TripAdvisor asking if I should buy Sagrada Familia tickets several weeks before. They never responded, and fortunately I did not since we never made it to Barcelona. We had a group of 6 (4 teenagers). They offered a Wine and Tapas tour in Madrid as a replacement option. Hmm, perfect for teens. The trips to Segovia and Toledo were all full. When I asked if we could just get the train tickets to Barcelona, they said they had already exchanged them. The reason the tour was cancelled was because of an emergency with the tour guide and no available replacement. I tried calling 2 days before to get more details on the meeting time and place. It was supposed to be a 7 am meeting and I wanted to know exactly where to be. They did not mention anything about the possibility of cancellation. They said they would contact me the following day with more info. Still had not heard from them at 11 am the day before trip. They again, said they would call me back. Then they What’s App messaged me that trip was cancelled. It was scheduled for our last day in Madrid so no option to reschedule. Ending up finding ecoTuktuk tour with a different company - which was great. But never made it to Barcelona!
Guide Lucas was very knowledgeable of the history of the city . He took us to multiple historical places . Church of the familia is breathtaking. The port area is very nice
Got off to a rocky start. Company canceled tour on the day we wanted it so it needed to be rescheduled, then, company gave us the wrong show time. Because of reschedule, our train tickets were scattered all over. Tour in Barcelona though was great. Lucas did a great job, interacted well with all in our group and was a great source of information. Overall, he was a delight to work with. It was a busy day but very informative!
We had such a wonderful time on this tour. Luca was phenomenal as our guide. We had a family of five and he was so patient and kind with everyone. He’s a gem! I would recommend this tour to anyone.
The group was small but the tour guides were full of life. Guiding us to the train seating, meeting us at the designated places were perfect. I was not happy with the early morning pick up point. It should be the coffee shop just 10 feet away. That would help all as the shop would then RECONFIRM that I am in the right place. Yes, I will recommend to all my contacts to use this company. Abdul amatlub Ahmad.
We enjoyed the entire tour especially the visit to Sagrada Familia. We enjoyed the company of both Lucas (entire tour) Cassandra (inside Sagrada) and we all agreed that if we were just on our own we would have never appreciated all the places we’ve visited. They are both very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic, very detailed and very engaging!
It got cancelled so wasn’t able to go. Was told the day prior which I wish I was told sooner. They did state I would be reimbursed.
Chance to see what we wanted And our tour guide Lucas is really good in explaining the tour info in English and in Spanish. Clearly understandable that is why happy to give him a good hefty tip.
This was a great experience. Han the tour guide is very knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone.
We were toured by Lukas. Excellent , very thorough and great photographer. We had a great time . 5 -star for the tour and the guide. Highly recommended. Be prepared to walk at least 5 1/2 miles
Tour was good and informative. Han, the tour guide, knew a lot of historical facts what made the trip interesting. Tour requires a lot of walking and climbing stares. Tickets to Sagrada Familia was sold out for the day, so try to get tickets in advance if you can and know the time you will be at Sagrada Familia. At the end of the trip we stopped at the beach, nice view. Overall the trip was good.
Really enjoyed our tour. Our tour guide was great and we saw a lot. Did wish there was slightly better communication from the tour company a head of time. But overall a great experience.
Viewing the buildings and architecture of Gaudi was amazing! Lots and lots of walking!!! Our tour guide (Miercol/not sure of the spelling) was knowledgeable, patient and friendly. We had a great time.
This was difficult to review but I do think reviews are important to help foreigners decide which tour to take. To begin with, we were unaware we had to catch the train by ourselves. If you don't read speak or understand spanish you might find it challenging to find your way to barcelona. We had to catch the metro on the way back and then catch the train again. That alone is a lot for someone to do on their own when they're not from the city or country. The tour guide does not go with you. You meet at barcelona. You'll walk a lot but the walking is not the issue. In fact if you don't walk around the city you'll miss out on details and experience. Make sure you bring snacks and are well fed before the tour begins as you won't find many options during the day until the tour ends. Towards the end there are plenty of options where you can choose to eat. With all these facts stated, it's up to the tourist to decide is they're up for the challenge. If not, find another tour!
Good tour of the city but a lot to cover in one day. Be prepared to walk a lot, we walked over 8 miles! This is not the tour for you if you do not like to walk. Han, the tour guide was very knowledgeable on the city and made the day memorable with his historical and architectural tidbits. The train was fantastic and the only way to travel in Spain. Logistically the tour could be much better. The guide in Madrid was trying to download my train tickets while we were in line to catch the train. I am not sure why I could not receive the tickets 24 hours in advance. Han spent a lot of thine trying to coordinate for taxis in Barcelona. It would seem prudent for the company to rent a van for the day to assist with transportation. I also did not like the end of the tour where we finished at the marina and were on our own to get back to the train station. A chartered van to the train station would have been nice in this situation as well. Overall not a bad tour if you like to walk but the transportation situation was not good hence the three star rating.
The experience in barcelona was amazing. Be prepared to walk... A LOT. The rich history and culture certainly makes it worth it. The only diasppoinment was that I could not find my tour guide and had to guide my self in the beginning. The 1st guide does not stay with you, they put you on the train and the you'll meet another guide in Barcelona. Its important to pay attention but over all we found our way to our group and had an amazing time.
Marko did an amazing job taking us around Barcelona. It would be nice if the tour company would include sagrada familia as an optional addition and purchase the tickets for tourists. Otherwise a wonderful experience with a lot of walking!!
Mateo was great and this tour was great! It is all day tour literally so be rested and full of energy prior to going and DONT FORGET to bring you best walking shoes because you will need them. Also, purchase the la sagrada familia tour tickets this package doesn’t come with it. I didn’t and I wish I would have purchased in advance, it will probably be hard to get it the same day due to the numerous amounts of tourist visiting and purchasing tickets. I will have to go back to see it. You don’t get to go to park guell which I wish we would have had the opportunity to visit but that’s okay. I really liked Barcelona and if you are short on time this is a great option.
A fantastic tour guide leading an incredible journey throughout the stunning city of Barcelona. He is extremely fantastic
Our guide Jimena was excellent. We learned a lot from her about Barcelona, Gaudi and the sights and culture of the city. Sagrada Familia basilica was amazing! We ❤️this day tour from Madrid. Highly Recommended !
This is a wonderful way to see Barcelona if you only have one day. We took the high speed train for the 2.5-hour trip from Atocha in Madrid. It included reserved seats, drinks, white napkin meals and assistance from extremely helpful servers. When we arrived in Barcelona, we were picked up by two wonderful guides (Mateo and Jimea) and taken by taxi to Sagrada Familia (a must see). After that we had time for lunch on our own and some picture taking or shopping. Then we started a leisurely walk of the city that included whatever the group was interested in - fantastic architecture, unbelievable Roman ruins, the old city, great shops, delicious drinks, and treats and for us a guide that made us a group of friends who didn't want the trip to end and have all promised to come back to see the dancing egg!
The guide in Madrid was horrible. He barely spoke to us and was late. He wanted to airdrop everyone’s ticket to me and left without sending everyone’s ticket. Luckily he figured it out so everyone was able to board the train eventually. In Barcelona, Mateo was great but I don’t think the tour was accurately described. We were with a bunch of old people that complained about walking. The day was 15 miles on foot according to my health tracker. Also I thought tickets to Sagrada Familia were included and they were not. We couldn’t get tickets upon arrival so we missed a once in a lifetime opportunity to enter the Basilica. Looking back at my app the very last line stated that tickets were not included. That should be the headline. So disappointed about that.
Mateo was a wonderful guide and was very knowledgeable of his city. He always gave us the opportunity to rest if we needed it. Great bi-lingual guid.
WOW! I simply cannot put into words what this experience has been/meant for me and the group that I was a part of. We’ve all fallen in love with the city, its views, people, food, everything really, and it was all thanks to our AMAZING guide, Mateo Martinez. If you can, ask for him, he is, THE MAN. PERIOD.
We had a great time on our walking tour with our guied Mateo who was extremely knowledgeable about everything: history, art, architecture, local culture etc etc etc. There were only 3 of us on the tour which was a huge bonus. This was a great way to get a taste of the city. We were met in Madrid by Jorge who escorted us to the high speed train (2.5 hours) to Barcelona. The train was clean, comfortable and had snacks for purchase. After a wonderful tour we had some free time and went to the Cathedral (26 euros) and then were escorted back to the train by Mateo. Wonderful trip, a lot of walking. Would be difficult for people with ambulation issues or young children. ( according to my son's watch we walked over 9 miles total) Highly recommended!!
Matteo was amazing, patient and knowledgeable making our trip to Barcelona such a special experience. Thank you Matteo and World Experience Barcelona!
Mateo. Was. Fabulous. What a great tour, informative to the level you wish. Prepare to walk 9-10 miles. Worth every step. We loved every minute of this day.
