Our stay here as family was perfect. Location is unbeatable, very central, walking to the happening places in Madrid. Room and Bathroom were very clean, staff was amazing, ready to help anytime. Breakfast was good. Special shout out to gentleman (didnt get his name) in the night shift who helped me get a fan, the air conditioner works perfectly fine, its just that 2 days in Madrid were really hot (100 deg Farh) so it took time to cool down. I would definitely recommend this hotel for central location in Madrid.

As long as you are familiar with European hotels the Petit Palace Alcalá will be a great spot for families. The location is great- we were able to walk to the Prado and had easy access to the metro. It’s a good option for families with rooms available that can accommodate 4 (tough to find in European cities). The elevators are very small and you will need multiple trips to bring up luggage (again, standard for Europe). The real jewel is the breakfast- my kids LOVED IT. It’s served in a room like a green house with lovely views of the city. Jairo and Maribela were so attentive and kind.
A great place to stay right in the center of Madrid. The rooms were spacious and well cleaned every day. Their style was cosy. The service was excellent with a very rich breakfast. Coffee machines with fresh espresso (not pods) was available 24h along with fresh water. There is a metro station right in front of the door of the hotel. It is also highly accessible with appropriate elevators etc.
My wife and I stayed at Petit Palace Alcalá and unfortunately had a rough experience. The first room we were given had hair on the bathroom floor and in the shower. We asked to switch rooms, but the second room had an ant infestation. I spent the night being woken up multiple times with ants crawling on me, which was extremely uncomfortable. The next day, they moved us to a better room, and we appreciated that. Still, after everything we dealt with, I really expected some kind of discount or refund for the night of the infestation, and that didn’t happen. Overall, this didn’t feel like a four-star hotel experience.
about a 35 minute walk from the train station, but the location is great for the heart of what is going on in Madrid. Excellent Breakfast buffet on the fifth floor with a huge glass enclosure. Being a single traveler, the room was a little bit small, but I did not spend a lot of time in the room. I am not certain if the hotel is air-conditioned and this is not a handicapped assertive friendly, since there are 2 flights of stairs from the street to the reception desk plus there are additional steps from the desk to the very small two elevators that can only fit one/two persons at a time. The staff however was excellent and friendly - I felt that they wanted to pleased all of the guests who come to stay. I was able to get a breakfast on the go bag which was very generous since I needed to leave for an early train. I would recommend this hotel to vacationers or business people!
