⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful stay at the Meliá Madrid Serrano Hotel! The hotel offers a splendid view of Madrid, and the location is excellent, with so many restaurants, shops, attractions, and activities just around the corner. It’s a great place to stay while exploring this beautiful and lively city. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the service was excellent throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, making it easy to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. Overall, Meliá Madrid Serrano is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting Madrid. Great views, wonderful staff, excellent location, and plenty to do nearby. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to staying here again!

Definitely not recommended! For €250 per night, I would expect a much better level of service and overall comfort. Unfortunately, instead of feeling like a comfortable stay, it felt like the hotel was trying to squeeze extra money out of guests at every opportunity. The room was clean, but there were several things that negatively affected the stay, such as unhelpful service at the front desk when we tried to resolve an issue, lack of ventilation in the bathroom, lack of basic amenities and furnishings in the room (there was only a single chair in the entire room), a really poor breakfast, and a couple of other issues. A few final things really pushed me to write this review. A regular 0.5L bottle of water from the minibar costs €4, while a bottle of water at the main bar is €8. Really?.. Even the toilets on the ground floor can only be accessed with a hotel key card… Come on, folks. You position yourselves as a good hotel and charge a substantial amount per night, yet guests are still faced with these kinds of extra charges and inconveniences. For €250 a night, the overall experience simply doesn’t match the price. Very disappointing.
The most frustrating issue was with the airport pickup service. The driver arrived and waited for 30-40 minutes, but no one at the hotel notified us he was there, and he ended up leaving without us. On top of that, at checkout, staff insisted on a full 15-minute manual check-out process instead of offering the web check-out option. The bar and coffee service were also disappointing — poor quality coffee at a steep price. Staff throughout our stay were not particularly friendly or helpful. The only real positive was the hotel’s convenient location near the U.S. Consulate. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for families, especially those traveling with children.
This was our second time at Melia Serrano. Location was perfect for our needs to do our last minute shopping as our favorite shops are walking distance and the restaurants we frequent. There’s a tiny pool to cool yourself down after a hot day shopping. Breakfast buffet is quite nice with lots of choice and coffee is good.
This is the best 4 star hotel I’ve ever stayed at, the level lounge is definitely worth it. I have platinum status and they upgraded me and put champagne in my room because I mentioned it was a celebration stay. Service is great, rooftop pool fantastic, and the lobby is always popping. I stayed on a lower floor and there was no noise. Food was average, not the best, but breakfast was great. I think the other reviews are misleading and they haven’t stayed at other 5 stars in madrid because I would argue this much better value.
