High-capacity hotel with around 900 rooms. It features a great swimming pool, though the water was surprisingly cold for mid-July. The breakfast was good, and the staff was super friendly—especially with our kids. Location is a big plus: the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is within walking distance, and the metro is close by.

I am a MeliáRewards Gold member, and unfortunately my experience at this hotel was very disappointing. Upon arrival, I asked whether a room upgrade was available, either complimentary (as part of my Gold benefits) or as a paid upgrade. The receptionist told me that no upgraded rooms were available. However, I checked the hotel’s website at that very moment and could clearly see that upgraded room categories were still available for booking. The hotel also appeared to be far from full, which was not surprising given that it was July in Madrid, when there are typically fewer business travelers. The receptionist then offered me a paid upgrade to a Junior Suite, which was three room categories above the one I had booked, claiming that the two-category upgrade corresponding to my Gold membership was unavailable. What I found most inappropriate was that the receptionist remarked that, as an employee, he had a higher membership status than I did, which came across as unnecessary and disrespectful. After nearly 30 minutes of discussion and only after speaking with his manager, the hotel finally offered me a paid upgrade to the room category that, under normal circumstances and subject to availability, Gold members would generally expect to receive as a complimentary benefit. The whole experience left me feeling that my loyalty as a Gold member was not valued, and the way the situation was handled fell well below the level of service I expected.
Amazing hotel with incredible breakfast. Very clean swimming pool!!! Maybe the best I ever tried all over Europe.
Great location, right in the middle of everything you need. We visited for a couple of nights as a family of four, boys loved the hotel and room. Interior is lovely but back of the hotel isn’t too much to look at. Breakfast served a great variety and staff were very friendly and helpful. Only down side of our stay I would say is that the pool was cold regardless of the temperature outside, it doesn’t get the sun until 12ish and then goes back into shade around 3.30pm - so never enough time to let it get warm. Would return though and perfect for our stay!
Elegant, Spacious & Central — Seamless Stay in Madrid 🏨✨ Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Short & Sweet: Classy rooms, spotless bathrooms (tub + walk-in rain shower), comfy beds with blackout curtains, and a late-running room-service menu with healthy options. Friendly, efficient staff and a great central location. Rooms are generously sized and well thought out: a proper desk, plenty of outlets, kettle, and a cozy seating area. The classic-meets-modern decor feels calm and upscale, and the soundproofing/blackout curtains make for easy sleep. The bathroom is a highlight — double vanity, excellent water pressure, a separate rainfall shower and deep tub, plus quality toiletries. Housekeeping keeps everything immaculate. Dining is surprisingly solid. The El Pelícano menu reads like a real restaurant list, with clearly marked healthy choices, a sensible breakfast lineup (including a low-cal option), and a wine list that leans Spanish. Room service runs late, portions are fair, and service is prompt. Location: Ideal for exploring — central, walkable to shops and sights, with plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Easy transit connections make airport or meeting hops simple. 💡 Verdict: For a polished base in Madrid with comfort, cleanliness, and convenient dining, this hotel hits all the right notes. I’d gladly stay again.
