I just finished a 4 night stay at Hotel Regina and overall have very mixed feelings: Pros - Good location, easy to walk to most major museums and metro/trains - Really nice breakfast every morning, included in my rate - Excellent bathroom - rain shower was perfect Cons - I arrived early and was told that my room was not yet ready, which I expected. However, they said that I could pay 50 euros extra and that my room would be ready in 20 minutes. This seemed disingenuous/opportunistic, but I was very jet lagged and agreed. They kindly offered to let me sit in the restaurant to wait and have some coffee. However is was over an hour and a half until I was shown to my room, by which point it was close to my regular check in time. No refund was offered. - The room I was given was an interior room with no natural light looking out at the shaft of the building. This was hardly the "patio" or "courtyard" promised in the description. - The restaurant in the hotel overcharged me not once but twice during my stay. No refund or compensation. - The power was turned off twice at the hotel during my last night for about an hour, right in the middle of when I was trying to pack for my flight the next day. I had to go down to the lobby in the middle of the night to find out what was going on. The front doors of the hotel were wide open with no security, which felt unsafe. It certainly didn't help the situation that a clearly inebriated guest was walking around and telling everyone that it was no big deal and asking the front desk staff to fetch him some ice for his drink from his minibar. Again, no compensation was offered or given. For a hotel of this caliber, and the nightly rate that I was paying, I left very disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Regina, and what stood out most was the exceptional service and genuine care from the staff. We arrived in the middle of a protest, which meant the street in front of the hotel was completely closed. Our car had to drop us off a couple of blocks away, and I had to make my way to the hotel with six bags and a car seat while traveling with my wife and young child. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us. They were incredibly attentive with our luggage and made sure my wife, our child, and I were comfortable throughout our stay. They showed the same level of care when it was time for us to leave. A special thank you to Manuela and Marlon, who were absolutely amazing. Their attentiveness and genuine concern for their guests’ comfort and well-being are a perfect example of outstanding hospitality. Beyond the service, the hotel itself is excellent. Everything is very clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the location is fantastic. But what really makes Hotel Regina special is its people. We would absolutely stay here again. Top-notch staff and a great experience from beginning to end.
The location was a real highlight. Right in the heart of Madrid, the hotel is within easy walking distance of many major attractions and shopping areas, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. There are also beautiful buildings and sculptures right outside and nearby, so even a simple stroll around the neighborhood was a pleasure. Our room and the common areas were clean and well maintained. Our room did not have a bathtub, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Having a gym was also a nice bonus. Breakfast was particularly memorable. There was an excellent variety of food, and the coffee was delicious. We all agreed it was one of the best breakfasts of our trip. The complimentary chocolates were a lovely touch, too. The staff were friendly and helpful, and whenever an issue came up, they dealt with it promptly. The only minor inconvenience was that our key cards stopped working a few times. However, the front desk quickly replaced or reactivated them each time, so this never became a major problem. Overall, we were very happy with the room, the service, and the location. We would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Madrid.
This hotel should be a 5 star hotel. Amazing service and welcoming since we arrived. The location is amazing with everything nearby and 5-10 mins walking. The rooms are spacious, have bluetooth to turn on songs, has a dyson hair dryer and hair straightener, iron in the room that you dont have to request. There is an espresso coffee machine and you can request as many as you want per day! The rooms are very clean, and the breakfast is nice. We really enjoyed our stay here, and will absolutely stay here again.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is excellent very central, convenient, and the area felt safe at all times. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you could need. I especially appreciated the thoughtful extras like the Dyson hair dryer and hair straightener. The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff throughout my stay. The breakfast buffet offered a great variety and had everything you could wish for. Overall, an excellent hotel that exceeded my expectations. I would happily stay here again.
