Excellent location. The one drawback is noise: if your room faces the street you’ll hear it, and the doors shut with a sharp bang, so anyone heading down for an early breakfast will wake you. The staff more than make up for it. David on reception is a star, Marta in the breakfast area is always ready to help, and Picco behind the bar is excellent too.
A great place to stay for a long weekend exploring Madrid. Located close to main transport links lets you get all over the city each day. The staff were friendly and so helpful, particularly David and Sandra at reception who went above and beyond, and did everything they could to make my stay enjoyable. Amazing customer service. I will be staying here whenever I come to Madrid.
Have stayed at this hotel on several occasions throughout the year, and always have a wonderful experience. Some things to note: - Parking is extra (and quite pricey per day) - Air conditioning is not available in the winter months (Nov-March) - Air conditioning in the summer is not the strongest (this must be improved) - Mattresses are 7/10 (comfort can be improved) - Small gym Besides those few caveats, staff is IMPECCABLE and the restaurant is amazing!! Breakfast is wonderful and the overall quality of the hotel itself is a great price for the value
I enjoyed my stay at this hotell, and I especially appreciated the air condition in the room and the location of the hotell since it's convenient if you are going to concerts to be able to commute back easily. A special thanks to the maid who tried to get me to take more towel and amenities when she saw me, since I didnt want my room cleaned during the stay. She tried really hard to get me to understand what she meant since I don't speak any spanish, which was highly appreciated, she said goodbye before I left. Also the poolguard who was really nice and accommodating! However, the hotell was not as great as adverticed. The shower kept changing temperatures every two minutes and went from mild, to hot, to ice cold over and over again. Do NOT use the hotel schampoo, it looked exactly like the body wash and made my hair really dry and tangled after using it. The door sometimes closed without locking, where it looked like someone had tried to forcefully open the door at some point, as the looking mechanism didnt work every time. The breakfast buffet was filled with different options, however the pancakes and waffles were served cold and dry, which was a let down. The hotells services and amenities refills are advertised as available 24/7. After I had been at Riyadh Metropolitan all day, I was severely dehydrated and asked about the possibility of refilling the water bottles in my room, since I had spent lots of money buying water at the arena, and was meet with "you have water in the mini bar" by the man at the front desk. I get that you want to make money, but dont advertise on the services that its available 24/7 in that case. Therefore I was a little disappointed, as I thought it would be a luxury hotell and was expecting a higher level service.
From the moment we arrived, all the staff at the Madrid Ventas Hotel – including Julian on the front desk; Claudia, who took care of all our business meeting room needs; and Santiago in the bar/restaurant – did everything they could to make sure everything went smoothly. The quality of the service was excellent throughout. And the breakfast and lunch was superb.
