I’m a bit surprised this is rated as a 4-star hotel. While the location is absolutely superb and I managed to get some great sleep, the amenities are lacking for that rating—there is no pool or on-site restaurant. My room was also quite cramped with three beds squeezed in, and the "view" was just a direct look into another guest room.

One of the worst hotels you may ever stay at!! First, when you arrive there is absolutely no place to park your car temporarily to unload your luggage. You have to go to a puplic parking around 300-500 meters away and drag your luggage in the streets, and don't ask if you have a baby in a stroller you would prefer staying at street rather than checking in this extremely low rating hotel!! Second, if you somehow made it to the hotel, you have to carry your luggage alone up these stairs and never ask for help, there is completely no one to help!! Third, the room looks very old, acceptable cleanliness but very old. The sofa is not clean and the bed is over used. Forth, my room was Premium Room and the balcony was not clean and useless, don't waist your money on a room with balcony. The breakfast doesn't worth the extra euros. You will find a much better breakfast in a lot of places nearby for a lower price. I rank it 2 stars hotel, or 3 at best. 4 stars is an absolute scam! I DO NOT recommend staying here or whatsoever. And I won't stay here another time for sure.
I and my family very much enjoyed staying at the Hotel Madrid Plaza de España. The location is brilliant - you are walking distance away from Plaza and Puerto del Sol. You have line 3 of the metro right outside your door. It is easy and economical to get to and from the airport via either taxi or public transportation. The staff were extremely pleasant and friendly with a particular shout out to the gentlemen in the breakfast room who greeted us very cheerily every day. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were clean and comfortable with the balcony being a nice extra. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
A hotel with a strategic location but there is no drinking water heater, you have to ask first. There is no coffee in the room, no other toiletries. Overall the hospitality of the staff is in accordance with European culture, don't compare it with in Asia
The hotel itself is fine. What was completely unacceptable for my 2-night stay were the daily LOUD truck deliveries to the market right next to the hotel at 6:30 AM!!! The windows are old and thin, so both days i wasn’t able to sleep beyond that time. Just for that fact I will not come back.
