Hotel Hidalgo

We were initially checked into a room that hadn't been cleaned yet. Then for the first two days of our stay the continental breakfast (which we had already paid for) was not provided. (As consolidation we were given a small glass of juice and a small sandwich or croissant, so we ended up getting more breakfast elsewhere). The replacement room had been poorly cleaned (stains on the wall, hair in the bathtub and doubtful that the smoke detector worked given the layer of dust on it). After the second day, we wanted our towels replaced so we turned the door hanger to green. Yet the room was not cleaned and the towels not replaced.

Super clean room and bathroom. Changed greatly over the years and not for the best reasons. Nice staff. Breakfasts where much better prior to covid. This time the hot food was literally stone cold! Stayed here 4 times now. Won't use again.

I had an amazing stay at Hidalgo and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel right at home. They were incredibly friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my comfort. The accommodations were top-notch—spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The room was cozy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep every night. One of the highlights was definitely the food. The hotel restaurant offered a fantastic variety, and every meal I had was delicious. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the quality and taste exceeded my expectations. In addition to the hotel itself, the neighborhood surrounding it was just as pleasant. It was a quiet, friendly area.

The staff was quite kind but unfortunately barely spoke English or didn't speak English at all. The food was all right, not great but not really bad either. However, the rooms where very cheap, two rooms for 4 nights for only 500€ which is great.
