Hotel Catalonia Gran Via Madrid

Truth is, the hotel is really well located and nice enough. What I didn’t like was that I had the unlucky draw in the seventh floor which has no elevator so you have get off the sixth walk around the building then go up the stairs. Added to that they were doing renovations there so you know VERY LOUD Spaniards handy men making noise all day. Tsk tsk- Other than that decent. Don’t stay in the 7th floor and don’t eat the sausages in the bfast buffet they will make your tummy ache.

We just stayed for five days at this wonderful hotel. The staff goes the extra mile to assure the comfort and happiness of the guests. While finding venues to watch the World Cup FIFA games can be difficult, the hotel took extra steps to set up a large screen, extra chairs and even a table in the lobby so that hotel guests could watch the matches. It was especially touching when young children from Brazil stood and sang the national anthem along with the soccer team. Staying at this hotel was amazing in every way. The location, food and cleanliness is fabulous.

Staff is amazingly friendly. They make you feel at home at every turn. The rooftop pool and bar are nice but can get busy depending on how many people are staying. The view is amazing up there. Would definitely stay again and probably will

had a great 2 night stay at this hotel. The location is extremely central, a few nice restaurants and sights around the corner. Hotel lobby is also quite very nice. I think my room was possibly an upgrade but it was very clean, spacious with great amenities / appliances. Bed was super comfy as well. The hallways looked a bit cheap but the room itself was great. My room was facing the rear street and was relatively quiet in fact. If I come back to Madrid I'll likely stay here again.
