Complejo La Ciguena

We had a very unpleasant stay at this hotel. Upon arrival, there was a strong and extremely unpleasant smell in the room. When we contacted the staff, they claimed the smell was coming from the wood, which was clearly not true. It was obviously a sewage odor filling the room. The bathroom design made the situation worse. The bathroom and toilet are inside the room, separated only by a glass partition, allowing the bad smell to easily spread into the room from both the top and bottom of the door. We asked to change our room, but the staff said there were no available rooms. However, at the same time, I checked Booking and saw that rooms were still available for reservation. This was very disappointing and unprofessional. The service was extremely poor. The hotel is located far from the city, and even taxis are unwilling to come to this location. The restaurant was not operating, and for dinner, you had to make a reservation in advance. There is also no swimming pool. Overall, the photos shown online are misleading and do not reflect reality. Our experience was very disappointing.

Curtain not working. Bad wifi. I've seen people commenting about the smell, but I dont smell anything bad. Maybe they dont like the smell of wood, but I like it. Good for camping, im not camping tho. Bad lightnin, its dark on here. I dont know about the service yet tho.

Was a great campsite apart from the smell of sewage and the campsite clean water refill was next to the waste drop off. Other than that the wifi was amazing and the grass and pitches were well attended too.

One of the best stays I had in my life. Comfortable room, very nice shower taking advantage of space and location, the personnel are very helpful and most importantly, the nature in which you find yourself emerged. I had a coffee at the restaurant by the window with a view on the lake, it was astonishing.
