We loved our stay at this hotel. Great location, clean, nice design, but the daytime staff were incredible. They did so much for us. Flamingo reservations with a special request! Prado museum tickets. Tours, taxi. They even helped my older uncle with setting up handicap service for his return to the USA.
The hotel is in good location, center of city. The front desk is not the friendliest. Not the warm hospitality that we are used to from the Marriott brand. Being lifetime Titanium elite we’ve been around the world and this is our least favorite property. We wouldn’t go back. We stopped at the JW down the street for a drink and felt a lot more welcome there. If ever back to Madrid we’ll be staying there.
This Marriott property is a great location with walking distance to shopping, dining and historical tours. Front desk and housekeeping staff are 5 star. The room is laid out well. Travelers from other countries should bring an outlet converter capable of Spain's specific outlets. The only thing notably missing in the room was a clock. Certainly not a deal breaker and, in fairness, it could be a cultural habit I am unaware of. I highly recommend this location.
We loved our stay at the Circulo Gran Via. The hotel was nicely maintained and in a great location. What really made the experience was the helpful, friendly and attentive staff. They were always happy to help and meet our different needs. Julian and Ruben went above and beyond throughout our stay to make sure it was exceptional.
Only giving it three stars. I believe hotel was top notch 10 years ago, but the current condition and quality does not match the price (€280 night). Breakfast was really disappointing selection. Lack of personality and positive outgoing attitude. Not chosing this hotel unless there's a major change going on. Not luxury. Not romantic. Not family friendly. Couples or single travelers can sleep here, but it's not a place to remember.
