Really liked our stay! I visited with my parents and the nightly rate was quite high - I asked the receptionist gentlemen if they could just cover the price when they’re asked to sign the guest sheet (my parents are price-sensitive and I didn’t want to stress them out even if I was paying), and later I saw that they whited it out. 🥹 How thoughtful! Gentleman at the door greeted us with kindness each morning too. The room was lovely. One comment would be, please figure out the sewage situation. I realised it’s a Madrid-wide problem, but the toilet sewage smell kept creeping up on both nights. Not really sure if it’s even solvable, these issues are usually city infrastructure problems but if you could. Maybe a freshener could be a band-aid. Other than that, no notes. Great place.

I’m not sure how this hotel is rated 4 stars, it’s more like a 2 or 3 star hotel. On my first night they gave me a room that smelled so bad it almost made me vomit. I went and told the front desk and they told me no other rooms were available that night, but they could spray a disinfecting spray in the room and advised me to leave the window open in the room to air the room out. When one of the employees came up to my room even he noticed the bad smell right away and he went to open the window in my room and of course it was broken and did not open. So the entire night I felt sick and nauseous from the horrible smell and couldn’t rest properly. Aside from this, the water pressure in the shower is very low, your shower will end up lasting three times as long just so you can get clean enough. The water only gets lukewarm; not hot. And there is no proper drain so after your shower the whole bathroom will be flooded with water. Lastly, the trash cans in the bathroom are broken, and you can’t use the foot pedal to open the lid. You have to manually open the trash can lid with your hand every time which is very annoying. The only positive about this hotel I can say is that they are very generous with the sangria in the hotel restaurant, giving a large jar of very good tasting red wine sangria for an affordable price compared to other restaurants in the area. Overall; I will not return to this hotel if I come back to Madrid and will not recommend it to anyone I know. I expected much higher service and quality from a Hilton hotel, and was left very disappointed.
I find the hotel to be in perfect location. You can see major sights in Madrid within walking distance. All staff are friendly and respectful. Diana from reception desk speaks well including others in restaurant. Javier from the front door is pleasant as well. Overall, I find the room to be in perfect condition and had no issues. When I return in future perhaps with my kids, this hotel would be on top of my list
I've stayed at this hotel 3 times now (most recently in August 2026), and I highly recommend this specific Hilton in Madrid if you had to choose amongst all the Hiltons in the city. First, the location is very convenient - you're within a 10 minute walk from the main Atocha station, and less than a 5 minute walk from the Metro. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets around the neighborhood. You're also very close to Sol and Gran Via (15-20 minutes walking) without having to be in with the crowds if you don't want to. Second, the rooms are very well laid out and quiet. I've stayed in the penthouse suites and the superior rooms, and I was impressed by the size and functionality of each room (comparatively amongst European hotels). Third, the front desk employees are very nice and courteous. It is very refreshing to get a call asking if you want to get your room cleaned, especially when you decide to sleep in. The bellhop is also very helpful. Minor quirk - please consider changing your toilet paper from the small brown version to the regular white ones. Overall, a very good hotel and highly recommended from someone who doesn't like to leave many reviews unless it's worth noting.
Good location of the hotel. The room was spacious and super clean. I liked the rain shower with enough water coming out and the amenities in general. The staff was super friendly. Breakfast was good. Solid choice of healthy options and of high quality. Ifs all abut styled out but looks nice. All in all a good experience and recommended to go. Will come back when again in Madrid.
