This experience was worth because our tuktuk driver Peter was knowledgeable and took time to explain many curiosities about Madeira. We felt at easy and not rushed at all. The trip had a stop at fishermen village on the way to Cabo Girao. Now was a bit disappointed with the skywalk at Cabo Girao because it was muddy so wasn’t able to really see it. Admission fee was 5 Euros which is reasonable but you need to pay 50 cents to use the bathroom The view is breathtaking. Overall a fun experience.

Such a fun way to see such a beautiful place the views are amazing. Ricardo was fall of knowledge and we had such a fun time. We never felt rushed when stopping at any of the places. Would totally recommend.
Wow what a great tour, our guide was superb and informative. We would highly recommended both tour and tour guide to anyone. Views were spectacular. A great way to see some of the island.
Fantastic experience made all the better by Ricardo Silva who was an excellent guide and driver. Greta views and lovely experience
Highly recommend Tuktuking for tours in and around Funchal! Pre-booked easily through GetyourGuide. Good communication - especially on the day/ our arrival in port - easy to find with pick up just 5 minutes from the ship. Ricardo was our guide and was very engaging and enthusiastic with lots of info on what we were seeing. 1st stop was Cabo Girão - glass walkway viewpoint 580m up - amazing views and excellent coffee and cake! Then down to the fishing village of Câmara de Lobos porto for a lovely wander and plenty time for a refreshing Poncha - the fishermen of this village 1st came up with this delicious Rum based ‘pick-me-up’. Then back to wherever we wanted in Funchal. Excellent value and a wonderful way to see more of the beautiful island of Madeira! Take a jacket - it can get cool (though he did have blankets)! Thank you Ricardo!
A Tuk Tuk tour that took us from the Cruise ship port, up to the glass viewing platform and then down to a very picturesque fishing village. The TukTuk driver, Ricardo Silva, was absolutely brilliant, excellent spoken English, talked to us throughout our tour about all of the sights that we passed on our journey. He stopped several times for photo opportunities and finally dropped us off in Funchal old town at the end of the tour as requested. Another highlight was the bar in the fishing village that made really tasty local drinks called Poncha. The bar itself was fully bedecked with Ronaldo memorabilia and owned by a very friendly family. This trip was very worthwhile, especially because of the first class service from Ricardo.
Ricky was a fantastic guide - very informative and attentive to detail in a relaxed and friendly way. We learnt so much about the island and didn't feel rushed during our stop offs. Tuktuking was such a fun and comfortable way to explore. We would definitely recommend! Thank you, Ricky 😊
Fab tour. Great fun very informative. Lovely man. Would highly recommend it . Good value. Learnt a lot . Very personal not rushed
Super cool tour. I would do it again and again. Really warm and attentive. He showed us a lot, explained a lot and also fulfilled our extra wishes. Me and my girlfriend were really impressed and glad that we decided to take the tour.
Our driver Ricardo was very friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He was concerned for our comfort and offered to stop if needed. I would definitely book with him again. A really great tour and I enjoyed all the sites.
Lookouts with a glass floor at a height of over 500 meters above sea level are not often seen, so I definitely recommend putting this place on your trip itinerary. But it must be taken into account that many other tourists will have the same idea.
Like having a private driver who knows all the best routes and can tell you the history of what you are seeing. Liked the SkyWalk trip so much had a further two trips because didn’t feel we were being rushed to move on and Ricky knew all the best places for views and being a Tuk Tuk could always park
The best way to visit Cabo Girao and Camara de Lobos. Our Guide, Ricardo, was wonderful! He was fun and interesting, we never felt rushed and got some great photos! Would definitely recommend TukTuking!
Conveniently situated close to the cruise terminal we were in ‘our’ tuktuk with the excellent Ricardo within minutes of leaving the ship. I was surprised at both the power and relative comfort of the machinery. Two of us enjoyed a 3 hour trip visiting the skywalk and a fishing village nearby. A full commentary was supplied in perfect English - and it was not intrusive. Some free time available and never any pressure to return. We will use him again when we return to Madeira on a future cruise if the weather is fine - which in our experience it usually is especially in the morning. Cost was 40euro per person and about the only negative encountered was that payment was requested in cash something we rarely carry. But of course there are plenty of cash machines to choose from! Something a bit different and good fun.
This is on one of the highest cliffs in the world. Great view of the ocean. Great for sunsets! It's easy to get to by car and there's probably a bus stop somewhere nearby.
Fantastic trip from start to finish. Knowledgeable guide. Great value. Truly recommend this trip. Thank you Ricky for a fantastic morning.
Cabo Girao Skywalk was worth visiting. It was easy to park our rented car in the late afternoon. It is better to visit after the main rush of organized bus tours around 4 p.m. The view was excellent with the glass floor! There were also some souvenir shops around and a café. A must!
You can get to the Skywalk a few ways, but I drove there and there's plenty of car parking spaces nearby. Yes it is smaller than I thought, but it was free to enter when I visited, there's some turnstiles to enter the skywalk which I think are closed off in peak season, so you may have to pay a euro or two in the summer months. You are walking on a glass platform above the cliffs & ocean, the views are stunning mainly looking left down the coastline, views to the right are a bit less interesting, I spent around 20 mins here and moved on.
Fantastic experience Luis took us to a beautiful fishing village and the to the Sky Walk. He was professional, warm, friendly and very informative. Thoroughly recommend the trip
Slightly anti-climatic when you eventually get here and find that the glass platform is quite small. Still, it is free (unless you choose to see it through as part of a tour) and we enjoyed the scenic and occasionally scary drive to the top of Cabo Girao. From the top, you will get incredible views of the sea and countryside. expect to spend no more than 20 or so minutes here.
Glad we took a local bus*here (2.75 euros each way) and did not get whipped up in a frenzy and pay through our noses to a tour company. Yes the view is good, and yes, a bit disconcerting stepping into glass, however we were there for 10 mins only, ..that’s enough as there is nothing else to see or do!! Toilets cost 0.5 euro/ but cost refunded if you buy something in the cafe- so that’s fair enough *Rodoeste bus route - booth selling tickets near McDonalds - along the front
Ricky, our guide, was great! He gave us a great ride. It was a pleasure to make this visit with him The views are just amazing!! Thank you Ricky, we will be back soon!!
What a wonderful moment! Ricky, our driver and guide, taught us a lot about Madeira and took us to very photogenic places. We had little stopover time, he picked us up at the port and brought us back near the boat. An original and very pleasant way to visit the city!
O Guia Ricardo fez a diferença. Foi tudo top. As paisagens são de tirar o fôlego. Recomendo à todos.
The glass skywalk of 580 m height is worth a stop. It costs a few euros, but it is a very beautiful view and a strange sensation to see the depth under your feet. There is a café and a shop nearby.
Small platform, but sensation guaranteed. And a wonderful view as a bonus. It takes 15 to 20 minutes maximum, but it has to be done. Low price.
We booked this tour on the waterfront with Andrea. We were taken to many beautiful places in Madeira. Andrea was very accommodating and spoke a very good and clear English. The driving style was very safe and defensive. Any time again.
