Wacef, our driver and guide was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. Buy the fast pass at the toboggan ride, it’s twice the price but you don’t have to wait in an extremely long line

Our tour guide Gil picked us up early directly outside the cruise ship terminal and we arrived to the toboggans before they opened and the crowds arrived. By the time we purchased our tickets at 9am the bus from the cruise ship tour had people waiting in a queue that was already backed up by 90 minutes. We were so fortunate to avoid all of this, thanks to Gil! The ride was fun and memorable and then Gil guided us through Funchal sharing many interesting facts, places to eat, things to do and of course pointed out the best place to try Poncha. This drink is very sweet and very strong but a must have to experience the true feeling of Madeira. It was a beautiful trip and a lovely way to see Madeira, thanks to Gil!

Fantastic, friendly tuk tuk drivers/guides. Received video to show where they were waiting for us from the cruise ship. Also got us to the taboggon run early to avoid the queues. Would highly recommend booking this tour

We booked from uk via Viator app Emailed 10 days prior to departure as we are in a cruise. No communication via company several emails from Viator to confirm trip details time for pick up and collection point. Arrived at Funchal email that morning from Viator to confirms our 10.30 pick up from pick up point we headed to pick up point arrived 15 early and contacted the company no response phoned the number for the company on ticket. I was told the trip had been cancelled although money taken out account told I would have to contact the manager of company and it was out of there hands as to why it had been cancelled. Phoned manager and said our booking details he immediately started shouting down the phone screaming that our details were wrong in app that they had phoned us several times and were told that we wanted to cancel followed by being told phone number was wrong and this was why they were unable to contact us to inform us that they would pick us up from a different location and 2 hours earlier than our scheduled time for the trip we booked. He was rude abusive and down right disgusting. I recieved a private message two hours later saying they the company had phoned wrong people and they had wanted to cancel they got us mixed up and also informed me my number was wrong on App. My number is not wrong on the app I have double checked all details and I have continued to receive emails to my correct details

Had a great tour with Gil. He even managed to get our wicker basket tickets through one of his friends in the queue and saved us an hour and half queing. Good value for money

Excellent experience traveling in the Tuk Tuk up through the town to the tabogans. Our guide (sorry can’t remember his name) was full of knowledge about Funchal and Madeira. So friendly and helpful Took us to the tabogans and ensured we had correct ticket. Tabogans were excellent, not as fast as worried about, but a great experience would definitely recommend Tour guide waited for us after the tabogans and took us on a lovely tour of the old town, stopping at many beautiful points to explain the town. Finished off taking us to a traditional poncha bar where we could see the local drink being made Brilliant personal experience (Just remember tabogans are additional 40 euros per couple)

The driver/guide picked us up at our port and toured us around town. He was good at explaining things and was happy to answer questions about everyday life on the island. The cost of the TukTuk tour did not include the famous toboggans, but they take you to them and wait for you at the bottom of the run. Our guide was flexible in where he dropped us off, and took us to a popular cafe for Poncha.

Laura was a great tuk tuk host- she took us up the mountain to our Tobbagon ride, had a warm and friendly personality and good sense of humor! We learned things about the area and then she met us down at the bottom of our ride to take us back. Was a great time!!

We had an incredible private tuk tuk tour with Wacef and couldn't have asked for a better experience! One of the highlights was arriving at the famous Monte toboggans just as they opened. Thanks to Wacef's excellent timing, there was barely a line, and we were among the very first riders of the day. It was such a fun and memorable experience. What really set this tour apart was Wacef's flexibility and enthusiasm. He offered us the opportunity to extend the tour for a very fair fee, and we're so glad we did. We visited Cristiano Ronaldo's childhood home, took in breathtaking views from an incredible lookout point, and explored a fascinating cave that we never would have discovered on our own. Throughout the tour, Wacef was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing Madeira's hidden gems. We never felt rushed and appreciated how personalized the experience was. Excellent choice for an excursion from the cruise terminal. Since we were there on a Sunday, the toboggans were closed so keep that in mind. Our guide for the day was Gui and he was awesome. Picked us up right at the cruise terminal and took us to many scenic overlooks. Next we went to the Christ statue. Gui was great giving us the history of the island and of the statue. From the statue we headed to Fishermen’s Village. Gui recommended we try the original Poncha at this nice little pub in the village. If you’re a soccer fan, this pub has many signed jerseys from the local soccer legend Ronaldo. His family is still on the island. Anyway, we can’t recommend Tukway and Madeira Tuk Tuk enough. The customer service and knowledge of the island are top notch. We will definitely use them again!

This tour was amazing . I would certainly do it again . The tuk tuk guide Henrique Jesus was a super guide of the island with plenty of knowledge. They showed up in time and offered an earlier time which suited us better. The guides stood in the queue with us to help us secure our tabagon space while we paid also . Saving more time ! Amazing

Gil was wonderful! I received a text message when he arrived and we were off. Early on a Saturday morning was great... not much traffic and we felt like we were part of the city. Riding up the mountain on that beautiful day to get to the toboggan ride in Monte was worth getting up early! We were the first in line! This was my reason for visiting Madeira and it was so worth it! Gil met us at the bottom of the ride and we took off for Funchal old town. Seeing many painted doors and ending up at the church on the harbor. Loved every minute of this tour!

The actual pick up location is about 150 meters farther Northwest than the location the app directed us. Miguel was great and gave us a great tour. We had a couple of unavoidable issues, but they did not detract from our enjoyment. I guess we will ride the toboggans on the next trip!

Great tour of Old & New Funchal in a Tuk Tuk piloted Laura. Unfortunately the rain stopped our toboggan ride but Laura gave us a full tour of the city sights. Lovely way to tour the city, even in the rain. Hope you had a great birthday Laura 👏🥂

Although our planned toboggan ride was cancelled due to rain, Moises gave a well informed tour of the area, including the beautiful church and the fascinating train museum. We appreciated Moises’ knowledge as well as his thoughtfulness.

Our tuk tuk guide Moises was brilliant! Full of information. His communication beforehand was excellent and he arrived on time. Headed off to Monte for a quick visit to the old railway station and then onto the fabulous experience in the toboggan sledge. Waiting in the long queue was no issue as he gave us lots of history and information about the island. The toboggan was an amazing experience. 2km downhill in a wicker chair with some exhilarating moments. Just do it! A unique experience indeed. Afterwards we headed back into Funchal old town for more touring and interesting history lessons. He even recommended a wonderful restaurant for lunch with fantastic views and great food. All round a very memorable day! Thank you!

An incredible experience! We went canyoning in Madeira and absolutely loved it from start to finish. Everything was very well organized, we felt safe the whole time while having so much fun, and the landscapes are breathtaking. The manager and the whole team were very friendly, professional, and made us feel comfortable, even as beginners. We enjoyed every moment — from the jumps to the rappelling and exploring nature. We highly recommend it! Thank you for this unforgettable adventure.

great adventure in Funchal! Luis was a great guide and we were lucky enough to ride the toboggans w no queue! our weather turned for the better and we stayed w Luis for a second tour with sunny skies and the top down on the tuk tuk!

Laura our guide was amazing, we never got the wicker ride because of the queues but we did go down the course in the Tuk Tuk which was fun and quite hairy as they don't have great brakes and we did see many interesting parts of the old town.

Disappointed that we never got to the tobbogans. Apparently there was a wait of over 2 hours. It was part of a 60th celebration. Apart from that a very enjoyable experience

We had a lot of fun riding on the Tuk Tuk, Laura was a great driver and so knowledgeable about the area. We had such fun riding the tobaggans! I highly recommend this adventure.

Ricardo picked us up at the arranged point. Knowledgeable and got us to the toboggans before the queue got ridiculous....only a 30 minute wait. Picked us up at the bottom then a tour of historic Funchal, identifying place to visit, eat and drink. Finished by the cable car park 💯👏

Rui and Andre were fantastic. Unfortunately we did not get to do the sledding due to rain, these two gave us a great experience and tried to show us parts of Funchal that we had not already seen. It was an adventure that was fun despite being wet.

Tuk Tuk picked us up on time at the cruise ship and Luis was wonderful. He took us up to the toboggan run early so there was no line. We then had a great tour of the town. Was a great way to spend our day. No crowds and no lines.

Our driver was Lydia, she was a wonderful young lady, she was funny, full of knowledge about the area, she was on time and we had time kept as we left early and we were the first in the queue, she picked us up at 8.30am, and. I one waiting, we lived everything about the baskets, we had the tour which picked us up in the tut tut, I don’t know which was most fun the baskets which we lived but also the tut tut with the roof down, first class trip absolutely adored it!!! So much fun.
