Construído em 1950, o Miradouro do Pico dos Barcelos está situado na freguesia de Santo António a cerca de 355 metros de altitude. A partir deste miradouro é possível contemplar uma panorâmica deslumbrante sobre a baía e a cidade do Funchal, com as ilhas Desertas em segundo plano.

Esta é uma viagem ao centro da ilha da Madeira, com montanhas maravilhosas com os seus cumes cobertos pelos mantos de nuvens brancas. Subimos até ao Pico dos Barcelos, um magnífico miradouro a 355 metros de altitude, onde pode desfrutar da bela baía do Funchal. Seguimos rumo à Eira do Serrado, onde nos deparamos com uma das mais extraordinárias paisagens verdejantes. Já no Curral das Freiras, os clientes disfrutam da paisagem do campo, da floresta e também das casas típicas da sociedade madeirense. É uma vila isolada e os habitantes vivem principalmente do que cultivam. As castanhas locais são deliciosas e são utilizadas na culinária diária.

Our driver & tour guide, Rafael, was great!! Safe driver, informative, friendly and personable. The stops were exactly as stated: 2 viewpoints either side of a visit to the Nun's Valley centre. It's a half day tour, so more of a taster of these spots which you wouldn't necessarily be able to visit otherwise. The viewpoints were stunning and there was no pressure to buy anything or do anything tourist-trappy at the stops. Short drive from Funchal to great spots, hotel collection & drop-off (or nearest hotel if you're staying at an Air BnB), air conditioned car, microphone/speaker system so you can hear the driver/guide in the car, multiple languages, small trip in a mini-bus which would fit 8 people max. Well worth the price!

Minibus picked us up at 9.15 for half-day tour. We were only 2 English speakers so driver spoke mainly Portuguese, then a few words in English which was quite hard to hear because the minibus was so noisy. It was raining in the mountains so perhaps stops were short because of that. Back at hotel 3 hours later.
The trip was very nice, but the guide didn't explain much and got quite confused with the languages, although he was pleasant.
Booking and chat extremely poorly organized. Eduardo did everything well. He and only him as guide own 5 stars. Everything else junk
I especially want to thank the work of our guide Eduardo (Batman) :) , has made knowing the island a fun and unique experience. It is rating that he loves his work, gets involved and is his passion. He speaks several languages, is very detailed with the whole group and explains very well the stories of the places he takes you, he has a very good attitude. Highly recommended, a 10.
