What an amazing time!!!! Nuno is sooooooo great! He understood exactly what my family wanted to do and did not disappoint one bit! From the short walks l, checking the view on the mountain before we went up, to the best meal we had in Madeira. Can’t give more than 5 stars or I would!!!!!

Our day with Nuno far exceeded our expectations. He took us to every part of this beautiful island. He is a super nice guy and is very engaging. He will tailor your experience based on the amount of time you have and based on your mobility. Normal tours will not take you to the sights Nuno will show you. He will take you to the top of the island where you are literally above the clouds. The views are breathtaking and unforgettable. He also takes you to other dramatic views of coves and cliffs. The views are so dramatic and spectacular, your camera will not do them justice. He picked us up at 9:30am and dropped us off close to 6:00pm. But he can tailor your experience to your schedule. A perfect way to see Madeira. Nuno is an excellent guide.

Nuno made our family vacation truly unforgettable. We booked him for three days, and it was the best decision we made when planning our Madeira vacation. He was so much more than a driver or a guide. His knowledge and passion brought every place we visited to life, helping us understand not just what we were seeing, but the history and traditions behind it. He was warm, engaging, and incredibly attentive to our needs. His suggestions for places to visit beyond the typical tourist areas were absolutely spot-on. Thanks to him, we experienced hidden gems and authentic local spots that we never would have found on our own, which made our trip feel even more special and personal. We cannot recommend him highly enough. His Mercedes 8-passengar van car was immaculate and extremely comfortable, and the large moon roofs gave us breathtaking views of the magnificent scenery throughout our journey. We didn’t fully realize how fortunate we were to have such a spacious and comfortable van until we saw other tours with tourists packed in like sardines and looking miserable. Every detail was thoughtfully handled. If we could give Nuno more than five stars, we absolutely would. He made our trip better in every possible way.

My experience with Nuno was truly that, an experience, not simply a tour. I was able to feel and smell and taste the miraculous beauty of Madeira over the course of a fantastic day. The vehicle was perfectly clean and comfortable. The amazing sights were well beyond what could be expected of a simple ride around to basic tourist spots. What you will see with Nuno will leave you breathless. Where to even begin! I’m writing this a month after spending an unforgettable day with Nuno across Madeira, and calling it the highlight of my trip still feels like an understatement. His passion and deep knowledge of the island and its people shine through in every story and stop. For a day, I truly felt like a local. The whole experience was so authentic and immersive that it could have been an episode of Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain. Don’t even know were to start, but let s go.. before our trip to Madeira I was looking for available tours, as we wanted for the first day of our trip to better understand and feel the island. And here our luck began, I found Nuno’s tour and was a bit confused as it didn’t advertise all the tourist spots in Madeira, so, I decided to text him in order to learn more. Texted but nothing changed, he told us that he will show us the authentic vibe of the island, that he wants to offer a full experience not only hotspots and that was it. I decided to trust him and book the trip and I am 100% sure this was the best decision we could take for the entire trip. Will not tell more about the trip, as Nuno wants always his guests to be surprised but what he shows them, but I can tell you for sure that one day with Nuno will show you more than a week with other commercial agencies. You will see some incredible spots and if you decide to have lunch, you will also have the opportunity to eat at the best restaurant from the island, or from Portugal, or from Europe 😁 Can t decide ! Anyway, just let him order when you arrive and thank me later. We spent another half of day him only to have the chance to have lunch there one more time before we go. In the end, if you want a guide who knows everything about whatever you can imagine on the island and who will avoid touristic places but show you what Madeira really is and feel, don t hesitate to reach to him. As I told you, thank me later ! And also, thank you Nuno! You made 70% of our trip ! Can t wait to meet again.

We had an absolutely brilliant day with Nuno and would highly recommend him. His knowledge of Madeira was excellent and he knew exactly where the most interesting and beautiful locations were. His vehicle was extremely comfortable and clean, with bottles of water for us all. We were a group of four friends and were celebrating my 50th birthday on that actual day, so it was the perfect way to do it!

This is a must do if you are travelling to Madeira. Nuno was friendly, extremely passionate about making the whole day an experience. This was the highlight of our week holiday. Nuno showed us around the entire island. He has a unique way of guiding you allowing you to explore while providing all the information and more. He stopped us a place for lunch that was our best meal of the holidays We were a bit slow taking loads of pictures and we ended up over running by 2 hours. He didn’t rush us at all. Nuno is a really nice guy and I highly recommend his tour.

Incredible day with Nuno showing us the best of the best on the island. We all felt fortunate to have found this Renaissance man who added so much to our vacation. He knows the best spots and when to get there to avoid the crowds. I almost couldn’t believe all the 5 star reviews and glowing praise for a day spent with Nuno…well believe it! We had the most wonderful day in Madeira with an absolutely fantastic and gracious host. He is so knowledgeable and accommodating and makes this day trip exactly what you’d like it to be! He gracefully steered us away from tourist traps while getting to just about every perfect vista the island offers. The luxury vehicle is wonderful and the sunroof a must when looking at such amazingly vertical terrain! We will not hesitate to hire Nuno the next time we come to Funchal with our family, best day ever!

We were treated to a tour of the best viewpoints on Madeira with well chosen brief walks on our own. Nuno shared his deep knowledge of the island. Good, real conversation. We can’t imagine a better way to get acquainted with this varied, gorgeous place.

Excellent all round!! As soon as we booked we got confirmation and explanation via What's App from Nuno. Then a couple of days before we got more comms and Nuno confirmed a pick up time with us from our hotel. We didn't have to think about anything. We didn't go to the standard tourist places, but more the hidden local spots we wouldn't otherwise know about. We saw different landscapes, waterfalls, many viewpoints and had short walks in between where Nuno would then drive along and pick us up. Highly recommend to anyone else who wants a private and very comfortable tour of Madeira. Ps. Make sure Nuno takes you to the little restaurant called A Pipa restaurant & bar Snack Bar A Pipa. It's great for seafood, limpets, grilled prawns, tuna, scabbard and poncha with honey.

We had an amazing day touring the island with Nuno! He is super knowledgeable and passionate about the island and took us to so many amazing places during our tour. If I could give more than five stars, I would. I spent 2-1/2 days with Nuno touring the gorgeous island of Madeira. I have some mobility issues so he tailored the itinerary to my abilities. That said, I did not feel like I missed a thing. We covered everything I wanted to. He made sure access was as easy as possible at each stop so I didn’t waste any unnecessary effort. He is incredibly knowledgeable and extremely thoughtful and considerate. He loves this island and is proud to show it off. He is also a former professional photographer so sent me photos each day of everything we had done and seen. I cannot recommend Nuno highly enough. Book with him and you will have a very special experience indeed.

This was one of the best tours I have been on. Nuno was right on time for pickup and took us around the western side of the island to see beautiful views of stunning landscapes. We had the most delicious lunch (the best chicken I have had in many years) and he even took photos for us a long the way. Highly recommend this tour. It is worth every penny. We did it the first full day on the island and it was a great way to get to know some of the island and look for things to come back to later.

We loved our day out with Nuno. He took us to some beautiful spots along small backroads - all places we would never had discovered by ourselves. We had several stops for short walks. Nuno selected a local lunch spot on the north coast with a great view and delicious food. We stopped again later for dessert & coffee at another spot with a spectacular lookout over the coast. Across the day Nuno shared interesting commentary about the history and culture of Madeira, as well as useful tips for the rest of our stay. The tour with Nuno should be the number one priority for anyone visiting this beautiful island. Nuno’s enthusiasm for Madeira is contageous. He is extremely knowlegeable and tailored the guided tour to our interests. He will take you to his «secret» spots not crowded with tourists. Nuno’s tour will work for both first time Madeira novices, and for seasoned Madeira return visitors. For our family group of 5 this was our first introduction to Madeira and gave us plenty of ideas for the rest of our visit. One highlight for me was stopping for lunch at a hillside remote restaurant on the north shore with amazing authentic Madeira food and a magnificent view.

I originally chose this tour because it was private and I thought it would be very customizable. I sent him a list of the places on the island I wanted to see and the google map route showing how long it would take. He responded saying "we won't be able to go so far....on the day, we will design the tour together." After a couple more messages, he said "I'm going to ask you let me design the tour and go with the flow." ...So definitely not quite as "custom" I as expected, but I figured that was fine since he knew the island much better than I did. When I would ask for a list of some of the places he planned to take us so I could sign off on them, he said " Let me drive you and I make sure you enjoy". Ok...so I can't even know where we're going until we go there? Kind of annoying but ok. Then we get to the day of tour. Honestly it was ok except for a few glaring issues: He drives fast and recklessly. We could not believe how fast he was taking the (very numerous) turns on windy roads. He slammed on his brakes 3 separate times in the span of a couple hours. We were constantly getting tossed from side to side in the car and it was definitely not the relaxing drive I had expected when booking the "Premium Quality Tour" Even with that though, we were still able to enjoy the tour. It wasn't until the bomb drop at the end of the tour that my mood soured. So at the start of the trip, he offered to take our pictures for us at all of the cool sights/views (like most tour guides). He did insist on using his own phone though which I thought was a little weird, but he told me that his phone had a higher quality camera so I went along with it. Then towards the end of the tour, I asked him to send me the pictures he had taken of us and he told me "I will send you the pictures after you review me on TripAdvisor." I couldn't believe it, so I asked if he could just send them to me now so we can look at them when we get back to our ship. He said "No, I make this deal with all of my customers. I will send the photos after you review me on TripAdvisor." Now not only is that a clear violation of TripAdvisor's rules for reviews, but why didn't he mention that at the start so we could make an informed decision to take our own pictures? This was all of the photos from our ONLY day in Madeira, and now our tour guide is holding them hostage? To me, that was unacceptable behavior. Even worse, when I finally got the pictures, they were 1600 x 900 pixel resolution. Like not even 1080p level quality! I was shocked at how pixelated they were. I'm guessing it was due to compression from WhatsApp so I asked if he could upload them to Google Drive or something instead so we could get the full-res versions, but he refused. How is that for customer service?
