Madeira Monte Tobbogans And Old Town Tuk Tuk Tour By Madtuk

Bruno was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with—friendly, insightful, and genuinely a lovely guy. He drove us safely up to the tobogganing (which is an extra, but totally worth it!) and then gave us a great tour around Funchal Old Town. What really stood out was how knowledgeable he was—he had loads of tips and tricks that made our experience even better. He also made himself available online if we needed any help with anything else, even after our excursion had finished, which was such a nice touch. We were so impressed that we ended up recommending him to a couple of people we met while in Madeira. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide!

Bruno was very attentive. Informative, helpful and funny. We really enjoyed our tuk tuk experience..picked up at the door and dropped off at the door.

Great fun trip around the city and up to the toboggan entry . The guide showed us where to get tickets for the toboggan and we then met him at the bottom of the ride for the return trip into Funchal old town . Lovely city and great day . Thanks to our guide Bruno.

We had an amazing time with Bruno and Fabio. We didn’t actually go to the toboggans as we were (thankfully) advised of a 2 hour wait to get on them on the day we were there due to several cruise ships arriving at similar times. Bruno and Fabio adapted our tour and showed us round the beautiful Funchal and surrounding area. The tour was fun, interesting and informative. Our group ranged from a 10 year old to an 80 year old with limited mobility and we all loved it. Thank you Bruno and Fabio!

Bruno, our tuktuk driver abd guide was on time, very friendly and well informed guide. Having already been on the cable car, I can strongly recommend the tuktuk as a better way to see Funchal. Bruno included a stop at a lookout point for photos, and assisted with tickets for the toboggans, waiting to collect us at the end of the ride abd take us on a tour around the old town, pointing out places of interest and giving ud a potted history. A highlight of our Funchal trip.

Bruno was very good at communicating - had to cancel.once due to weather. Told us a lot of information on the way to Monte. Met us at the end of the toboggan run. Toboggans were great fun and a.must do but get there early! We were there by 9.30 and queue was 1.5 hours - much longer by afternoon

We just did the Monte Gardens via cable car and then did the Monte Tobbogans and walked back to Funchal or you can get a taxi down or the yellow bus. We loved the wooden baskets they were such good fun and exciting going down the road how they keep there hats on I dont know! Its a must in Madeira plus get you photo at the end to remind you of such a great trip.

It was an excellent trip. Hugo was a very good guide and also very informative. He was a pleasant person and it made the afternoon even better.

We went on this tuk tuk trip with Madtuk out driver was very good and knowledgeable he took us around Funchal and a lovely view point and the on to toboggan we’re we paid separately to get in the good thing is he waited for us at the bottom and we queued for a hour he then took us to the old town and back to our hotel overall great fun

Had a fantastic tuktuk tour with Carla.She showed us around every part of Funchal and was very informative.Went to the toboggans and then did the old town.Carla was a pleasure to spend time with and thoroughly enjoyed the Tuktuk tour.

We hired 2 tuk tuks for our family. Friendly, knowledgeable drivers who took us to the toboggans and waited at the bottom for us. They filmed our arrival and shared with us. Altered route back to our hotel to show us sights we hadn't already seen. Definitely recommend

Booked the MadTuk trip and was not disappointed, Bruno our guide was polite, easy going and full of really interesting facts about Funchal and Madeira in general. Great experience riding the TukTuk, and a fantastic experience of doing the toboggan run from Monte. Most of the guys there were chatty, friendly and liked to have a laugh with the customers. Felt completely safe travelling down the 2 km route, and straight into the gift shop! A massive thanks to Bruno who waited for us at the bottom and took us on a tour of Old Town which was fascinating. A great little trip to finish our first trip to Madeira!

This does not include the tobbogans it only gives you a ride to them! The title makes that very unclear and we were surprised at the extra 70 euros for 4 people to ride the tobbogans (that info is included in the small print of what is included and exuded but I thought this was malicious descriptionfor the title.) The tuk tuk is okay hopefully you get a driver that tells you lots of history and doesn't drive in silence the whole time like ours !

Really worthwhile trip. Saw so much of Funchal that I hadn’t seen before. Great knowledge from Virgílio, and he was so accommodating for stops and photo opportunities. The Toboggan run is a must - absolutely touristy, but it’s a must!

The line was a bit long, but worth the wait. We went towards the end of the day and waited about 45 minutes. The line went at a pretty good pace.

Our driver/guide was excellent. Arriving on time and taking us first to Monte to avoid toboggan queue and pointing out interesting places and facts in the Old town that we went to afterwards. He was very flexible and willing to take us back to our ship but we decided to stay in Old Town and walk back later in the day. Highly recommended for a day trip in Funchal, Thank you for showing us your beautiful City.

It did not include a trip on the toboggan as advertised. The yuk yuk driver said it was shut when it wasn’t. Expensive ride around old city. Should have booked it with the cruise ship very disappointed especially when others on the ship said how they enjoyed it

Our driver Bruno was very considerate and made the trip such fun. He was obviously very proud of Maderia and it’s traditions and it’s history. We would definitely take another of the tours on offer. We are both in our late 70’s and loved the experience!

Our driver, Bruno was so friendly and knowledgeable about Madeira. I was nervous at first about riding in the tuktuk but myself and my husband really enjoyed it. A unique way to see Funchal and Monte. We had to wait for over an hour for a toboggan ride in Monte, but Bruno waited at the end for us to drive us back to Funchal. Thank you Bruno, we definitely recommend riding with Madtuk.

Excellent tour, The driver was even happy to wait for over an hour for us to queue for the Toboggan ride, then met us further down the hill where the ride ended. Then pointed out a few nice places to get a drink !

The ride was great, nothing overpowering, just a little bit exciting. But we had to go cos we were in Madeira. However when you get to the end. Take no notice of the rip off taxis, they try with expensive prices on the bus that takes you back to town. We had a five day travel pass and the bus stop for number 19 bus is opposite the taxis rank and it comes every 30 mins. There’s a nice coffee shop very nearby if you have just missed the last one. Perfect excursion, to do the luge descent at 35 euros is really worth it. Place to see, perfect to go around and have explanations about the place.
