Madeira Canyoning Level 2 – Waterfalls & Rappels Adventure

If you have landed on this page and these reviews, I guess it means you have already realized what a great idea it is to explore Madeira via canyoning (great instinct, it’s a total blast and the perfect way to experience the beautiful nature here). Even better idea to go with this wonderful team - our guides Pedro, Mike & Joao were hilarious, kind and soooo patient. They know what they are doing and really care about you enjoying your time. I would give this company 3 stars. Let me explain why. First of all, they picked us up from the hotel (included), which was nice. But the driver, Pedro (who was our guide as well), drove like a maniac! Now, I'm from Russia and drove a stick shift there. Almost every year we go to Europe, and I always rent a car with a stick shift. My favorite driving was in Italy, on the Amalfi Coast! So I know a little bit about crazy driving. Pedro had no respect for the passengers, but more importantly, no respect for the car. After surviving the trip up, things lightened up. The equipment was nice, and the explanation of the technique was adequate. The views were fantastic. One time Pedro tried to be funny; he repelled me quite fast, and I hurt myself by hitting a stone with the heel of my foot. All together, you have to remember that we are Americans and we learned to expect certain things (we are treated like babies). But this is Europe... The rest of the trip was great, and we had a lot of fun. But then there was the trip back to the hotel... Thus, 3 stars."

Harmony in Nature Canyoneering Level 2. This was an awesome trip with an awesome Company with awesome guides. My two daughters (20 and 19 yrs old )and I completed this trip and rate it 10 out of 10. The company was great at communicating the details with us and all went as planned. We stayed in Seixal with a rental car and met the group at the trail head. Lots of parking and easy to find the group. The roads are steep but very safe and well marked. They provided high quality equipment and stored our dry clothes in a locked van during trip. Our guides were Pedro and Ricardo. They were awesome. Pedro gave great instructions in English. They both are patient and fun, but serious about safety which is very important to me. We met awesome people on the trip from Ukraine, France, Luxembourg and USA. The whole trip lasted about 3 hours. We had a blast. Pedro drove us back to our car. I highly recommend this trip. If we had more time on our vacation, we would have booked the level 3 for the next challenge. You are in great hands with Harmony in Nature and with Pedro and Ricard.

My 16-year-old son and I did the Level 2 canyoning trip (Ribeira do Cidrão) during our holiday in Madeira, and it was one of the absolute highlights of our stay! The experience was a perfect mix of excitement and fun. The guides were fantastic: super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. They made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip. The scenery in the canyon was simply breathtaking. We had so much fun! It was thrilling but not too extreme, even for a middle-aged mom like me who isn’t especially active and normally avoids risks or physical challenges. I felt completely safe and supported the whole time. And the teenager absolutely loved it! Highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for an unforgettable experience in beautiful Madeira.

From start to finish, our canyoning experience was absolutely amazing. The morning pickup was smooth and right on time, and communication beforehand was clear and helpful. We were immediately impressed with the quality of the gear—especially the boots, which were excellent for the terrain. The guides were outstanding: professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They explained each step clearly before we did anything, so we always felt completely safe. On top of that, they kept the energy light with jokes, took plenty of photos for us, and made sure everyone was having a great time. The other participants in our group were fun and added to the overall experience. It really felt like a shared adventure. This was truly a memory for a lifetime. We’d love to go back and try their level 3 canyoning—- we’ll be dreaming about it! ;) Highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a mix of adrenaline, nature, and great company.

As a canyoning guide from Slovenia i really recomand this company. They are friendly and profesional. The canyon have a nice jumps, slides and apseil.

My partner and I joined the level 2 canyoning. The group was small to keep us moving and the 2 guides were incredible. Getting into the wet suit is the hardest part of the day and the rest is just walking then canyoning down waterfalls, walking in a river and enjoying the setting around you. Well worth the price, in fact, this experience exceeds all expectations. The team was responsive with questions, send great directions as we chose to meet at the starting point vs being picked up in town, the sizing of shoes and suits was perfect and they made everyone feel very comfortable. This was our first time canyoning and we will be trying this again.

Brilliant crew first providing all equipent which was really useful, then taking us down the waterfalls in a fun and secure way. Fantastic nature withtropical forests and amazing rock formations.

WoW, wat an amazing experience this was! With the great guidance of Daniel and Nuno we had a great day; they really make you feel at ease and you can do this. The first time you need to let yourself go down it's a bit exciting but as from then it gets more and more fun. If you are looking for an exciting activity with some walking, swimming, sliding and jumping, surrounded by beautiful nature with the best guides in town do not hesitate to book this tour. In camparison with the other companies we came by, Harmony in Nature takes her responsibility. Included in the price is a pick-up at your hotel/appartment; on the way to the Canyoning spot you get some information from Daniel (who's English is very good we must say). Very nice, laughed, wonderfully active, saw a beautiful environment and climbed and did wonderfully. Good in terms of time and intensity, went myself with 2 daughters aged 15 and 17, I am 46 myself.

That was a very good excursion! The organization was good, pickup, equipment, and return transport! The guides were in a good mood and took many photos along the way, which they make available via email! It was really fun in the mountains and it was very varied with rappelling and jumping! It was my second excursion of this kind and I was thrilled once again; I can recommend it to any adventurer!

Top experience Booking made for our two children. (21 and 23y) . Level 2 chosen because they wanted a bit more challenge that the level 1 aims more at young families with small children. Everything went perfectly. Superb supervisors who clearly had everything under control. We drove to the meeting point ourselves and that was a little unclear. It's a little way from the point where our GPS dropped us off. It is the meeting place of many organizations so it was also some searching for ‘Harmony in nature’. Everything else went perfectly! A great experience! The two of us (mother and daughter) were in Madeira for the first time. We came across this offer while researching outdoor activities. We just thought - let's go on an adventure, it'll be exciting -. And it was. We were a small group of 6 people, aged 14 to 53. The briefing by our two guides was perfect. During the jumps and abseiling through the falls we always felt safe and our guides guided us great. They paid attention to each and every one of us and gave security. 2 years ago I went through level 1 and this time level 2 and again I am thrilled. I’m more of a fearful guy and I struggle with jumps, but with these two top guides Andre and Wouter I always felt safe! Thank you for this incredible experience!

We were well informed in advance about the activity via Whatsapp. The organization was perfectly fine. Everyone had appropriate equipment. Clean and neatly arranged in bags. Daniel and Pedro expertly guided us in the river and rappelling. I also learned everything about nature in Madeira. And a nice chat was no problem at all. Even though it was sometimes a bit exciting for the children, we were in safe hands!
