Half-day Boat Trip Madeira Funchal- Private Yacht Snacks & Drinks

An unforgettable day with Luv Sailing – couldn’t have asked for more! We booked a six-hour private sailing trip with Luv Sailing, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our time in Madeira. From the very beginning, the communication with Natasha was fantastic. She helped me organise everything in advance, was always available for questions and provided plenty of detailed information. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and you could really tell how much effort she put into making sure everything was just right. On the day itself, Michael and João were our crew, and they were absolutely brilliant. Both were incredibly friendly, relaxed and attentive, making us feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we stepped on board. During the trip, we stopped twice to swim and snorkel in beautiful spots along the coast. All the equipment was provided and in excellent condition. We also got to see parts of Madeira’s stunning coastline that we would never have discovered on foot. The views were incredible! We were served a lovely selection of cheeses and cured meats, which was perfect for enjoying a drink and taking in the scenery. What made this trip even more special was that I had planned to propose to my girlfriend on board. I had let the team in on my plans beforehand, and they helped make the moment absolutely perfect. Everything was handled so thoughtfully and naturally, and it became a memory we’ll treasure forever. I had also asked about a particular bottle of wine that we’d enjoyed earlier during our holiday. Michael went out of his way to find it for us, which was another lovely touch and made the occasion even more special. We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. The whole day felt personal, relaxed and special from start to finish. Whenever we return to Madeira, we’ll definitely be booking another trip with Luv Sailing. A huge thank you to Natasha, Michael and João for everything! P.S. Make sure to ask Michael about his honey! It has this wonderfully light hint of eucalyptus and such a unique flavour. Absolutely delicious!

Fantastic experience with Michael and Michael, very generous with drinks and snacks, knowledgeable about local area and points of interest, lovely clean boat with plenty of space for 8 of us. Able to swim in the sea with towels snorkels and pool noodles provided, would highly recommend for a days activity while you are here!

Such an amazing experience! The crew was kind and knowledgable and they made the morning so enjoyable for us - great wine, great snacks, great views, and a fun stop to swim/snorkel in the water. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone, especially for the price/value. I’d happily do it again next time we come back to Madeira!

An absolute highlight of our trip to Madeira. We booked a half-day boat excursion with the family, and it exceeded every expectation. The crew was exceptionally welcoming, professional, and great with our child, making sure everyone felt safe and relaxed from the moment we stepped on board. The coastline views from the water are breathtaking, and we even had time for a refreshing swim in a stunning secluded spot. The snacks and drinks provided throughout the trip were a wonderful touch, featuring local treats that added an authentic taste to the experience. Everything was well-organized, unhurried, and genuinely memorable. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the island looking for an unforgettable day on the water!

It was a beautiful, relaxing experience. The staff were engaging, very friendly, shared personal experiences about the island, and provided excellent service. The drinks and snacks were delicious and available all throughout the cruise. We loved the snorkeling, view of the cliffs and seeing Funchal from the perspective of the water. It was a wonderful experience we highly recommend.

It was an amazing trip! The views were absolutely breathtaking and we even got to see dolphins. The crew was very friendly and accommodating. I wish we had booked a longer trip as I really enjoyed it. Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend it for anyone looking to view Madeira from another view.

Hands down one of the best sunset tours out there! Family run, supporting local and incredibly personal. An authentic tour that really showcases Madeira's tropical beauty. The team went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. Food was fantastic and prices were more than fair. In a sea of mass dolphin tours, this is a real hidden gem with a big emphasis on personalised service. Would happily recommend for groups of friends, couples and families with kids. A huge thank you to Tasha, Mike and all the team! We will most certainly be back.

We had a please to take a sailing trip with Luv Sailing along the southern coast of Madeira. It was a wonderful day! It was nice to see the island from the ocean. We learned some things about geology, and heard some stories of sailing from the crew! We made a stop at the foot of the Cabo Girao to go swimming and snorkeling, even swam all the way to the beach. The view from there is just unbelievable! They provided us with floaties, snorkeling gear, towels, and later we had a light lunch and fruit. We would highly recommend LuvSailing! The crew was chill, fun and very professional at the same time! What a wonderful experience we had!

A few friends & I spent a perfect afternoon sailing. We have done a few of these types of trips where they take your money & go through the motions but this was superb. Food was terrific, great cheese board, fresh fruits & plenty to drink. We stopped at Cabo Giroa & had a chance to swim in the beautiful sea. Towels were provided, it was all so well done. The crew really made the trip unforgettable, they wanted us to have the best time & we really did. Nothing seemed too much trouble, helped taking pictures etc. Highly recommend, great afternoon!!! Superb service!!!

A great experience of sailing around Madeira and swimming in the sea. The captain and first mate were welcoming and knowledgeable, and made everyone feel at ease and safe as this was our first time doing something like this. We booked this trip, for 6 people, to have a private boat experience and to see Madeira from the sea. We did an afternoon trip which lasted 4 hours and included a selection of drinks (beer, wine, juice, water), and food (fruit, cheeseboard, hummus, snacks). As we left the marina in Funchal the sea was calm and we were all very excited. Heading along the south coast, enjoying the drinks and food, we stopped after an hour or so at an area that could only be reached by boat or cable car. We stopped here for a couple of hours. This is where we went swimming in the stunning blue and warm sea. Pool noodles were provided if needed, and we could have spent all day swimming but eventually had to leave. We did bring our own towels but they weren't needed as these are also provided. Another hour back to the marina and our trip was over. I would definitely do this again and would recommend it to anyone I know that is planning to go to Madeira. Having been on a quick catamaran tour before it was worth it for me to pay extra to have a private boat that you have input into what you want to do.

Perfect day out with the family, well organised and really friendly staff. We really enjoyed it, loved swimming in the ocean, appreciate the thoughtful staff as well, they had towels, snacks and a lots of fun stories to share! I definitely recommend it.

Everything was awesome, the help at the beginning to help me and my dodgy leg over the water, the crew were inviting, engaging and happy to chat, the food was absolutely amazing and was a highlight in my opinion. The tour lasted quite a while, I liked the length, not too long or short by the time I'd got back to shore. The water was a little choppy and it would have been appreciated to cut the swimming short or move elsewhere. I understand the trip has to cater for everyone though.

Super chilled and friendly crew. The captain is such a character, friendly and with a lot of stories about Madeira (in perfect English). Even if I live here, I learnt a lot of new things and anecdotes. Great boat, and the swimming spot was stunning - food & drinks included and always offering more than we could handle! Superb cruise!! We were a family of 7 people (2 parents and 5 children, 2 of whom were in a couple). Michael and Joao (the crew) were adorable, very professional, and it was a pleasure to chat with them, a big thank you to both of them! Magnificent cruise, beautiful sailboat that was very well maintained and clean, and great snacks and drinks. We were able to see a small (harmless) shark :) It was perfect!
