Funchal Epic Private Tuk-tuk Tour

Brilliant communication from company before tour and from our lovely Laura tuk driver on the day. Made it much less stressful to find Laura on the quayside. Laura gave us ideas of things to see and designed a great tour for us. Even having been to Madeira previously she took us to lots of little hidden gems. We had plenty of time for photo stops and never felt rushed. We would definitely use this company again and ask for Laura.

It’s a great way to see a little bit more of the Island getting to places you may not normally go. Completely private, very flexible and an awful lot of fun.

Our driver was wonderful. Many fellow sailors on our cruise went shopping but we were taken on a wonderful tour of the Island of Madeira. Our driver was wonderful, spoke great English and showed us so much of the island. Would recommend him to everyone.

We had a lovely guide/driver Luís who collected us directly at the cruise ship. He was happy to discuss possible itineraries and then took us in our way. Lots of intrresting chat, both personal and local interest. The tuk tuk was very comfortable too.

On time, interesting, informative. Rey nice young man who showed us all around greater Funchal..we were picked up and dropped off at our hotel.

We had an excellent guide in Luis, he new his way in Madeira and brought us to a number of interesting sites in the old town. He made this Tuk-Tuk tour very exciting. He then made sure to bring us to hidden Madeira tasting cave underneath a thrift store where there were 1000 of bottles of the local fortified wine which we tasted for free. After that we wanted to taste the poncha which is a local fisherman’s drink and he brought us to the best bar in town which mixes it up fresh on demand , what a treat, We finished with his recommendation for local cuisine and he didn’t miss on this either. I would highly recommend this company if you’re in Madeira and want to enjoy the culture. The next time I would take a longer tour.

A great introduction to Funchal with Andrea. Despite the occasional semi tropical rain storm, it was still a marvellous 2 hours, good fun in the tuk-tuk and we learnt so much about Funchal and the Madeiran culture. Definitely know our way around Funchal and where to visit. Thanks again Andrea

We thought we had done every tour in Madeira but this was absolutely stunning. Owner Louis picked us up at our hotel and we went round all the back streets of Funchal and Old Town where no other tours can go. He was so knowledgeable and funny and we will definitely use his tuktuks again. He knows everyone and we came away with lots of cards for restaurants. Have recommended him to others already. Great to see a young business venture doing something different.

The whole experience was fantastic, from the booking of the event, to meeting up and the tour itself, proved to be very smooth and relaxing. Our guide, Luis, was knowledgeable, informative and flexible. The journey itself provided a great way of seeing much of the older areas of Funchal as the tuk tuk was able to navigate some of the smaller streets. We took in castles, markets, views, flora and fauna, public buildings, door painting areas, cafes and bars, all with excellent background detail from Luis. A great couple of hours, many thanks to Luis, would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic service, wonderful morning tour by Andrea. So much information from the beginning to end. Saw so many beautiful sights places we have never been into to in the ten years of visiting the Island. Would very much like to book another trip and would certainly recommend!

What a wonderful way to see the inner areas of Funchal! Excellent! Our guide was Andrea who was delightful to spend time with. She knew he area very well and spoke with great enthusiasm throughout our trip. Andrea also engaged with us at every opportunity and made us feel very much part of the tour. It was a beautiful day and we had the best views over the city and surrounding areas. We had already used the 'Yellow' bus to tour the island and enjoyed this but compared to the personal touch with Andrea it doesn't compare. We were able to engage with some of the local people because Andrea knew so many of them!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We had a brilliant trip around Funchal and the surrounding areas in Andrea’s great little tuk tuk on Wednesday afternoon. We can’t recommend Andrea highly enough, she was very friendly, kind and knowledgeable - we learnt so much about Madeira, its history, interesting background to historical buildings and gardens, and places to visit in future.
