Christ King + Old Town Tour By Tuk-tuk

We spent a brilliant 2 hours with Xavier our driver. He took us up to the best view spots for memorable photos looking down over Funchal. We had plenty of time to have a coffee at the top close to Christ Redeemer statue. Then we made our way back down to the Old Town area. We could have stopped there and wandered back to our cruise ship, but decided to be dropped off close to our ship. We can’t say enough about Xavier. His English is perfect, and he is very knowledgeable. We would seek him out again if we return. He parks in bays 2,5 or 7 on the boulevard and you can’t miss him with his cheery smile. Thanks for a wonderful short stay in Madeira.

Ricardo is a nice tuk tuk tour guide, he drove us to King Christ and brought us to try the authentic poncha in Funchal city centre. Really nice tour especially on a rainy day :)

We were so glad we did this tour. Ricky was an excellent guide who was friendly and pointed out many interesting things along the way. You get to see so much from a tuk tuk and it can get into the narrowest of streets without a problem!!

Amazing experience! Our tour guides became our friends. I would recommend this hands-down. We got to see so much of the island in such a short period of time it was a blast! So informational, they were a delight! We even got to eat local food. You can’t go wrong.

Alexis was the best! Took us all over the city and vista points. His knowledge, humor and kindness was unmeasurable! Truly felt like I saw it all.

We loved the Tuk Tuk ride the views were amazing, we had a lovely driver he was very informative & funny. Sadly I had received a phone call with some sad news so we need to go back to hotel, he was so lovely & kind he could see I was upset & gave me a hug.

A great Tuk Tuk tour with our driver/guide Ricky outline the coast from Funchal up to the Cristo Rei statue and viewpoint. For our return to Funchal, Ricky took us via some of the streets and areas that we had not explored before. We would highly recommend this tour and especially with Ricky who was so full of information about the area. We look forward to another TukTuking tour next time we visit Madeira.

Tom was our German guide and could also speak English if necessary. Nice, friendly, helpful, and humorous guide and knew and told a lot about the history of Madeira. It was a really beautiful trip with Tuktuk and Tom. Highly recommended.

The guide was super nice and explained a lot. The ride was very nice, you could see a lot and we also had some stops to take photos and get some extra information. We even got a local drink recommended and he accompanied us in the process. Would definitely make another trip, maybe we will come back:)

Imposing statue towards the ocean, although during the May visit it was fenced for restoration. Very nice the long staircase that leads down to appreciate the beautiful view. The ascent is challenging but can also be done in stages.

We were with the cruise ship in Funchal and were unobtrusively approached at the port by Luìs. Spontaneously we booked a Tuktuk tour with him and were not disappointed! Luìs spoke very good English and entertained us well on the 90 minute tour. Questions were answered nicely and Luìs showed us nice viewpoints. We would book again!
