The Views Oasis

The hotel was lovely and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and always willing to help, breakfast is good, and both the spa and the training zone are a nice touch. Our room was spacious with a big balcony and a large bathroom. BUT — even though this is a non-smoking hotel, late in the evenings people were smoking cigarettes on their balconies. A big plus: the ocean is just a few minutes away — beautiful beach, warm water, and never too crowded. Hotel is located in the area full of restaurants, cafés and bars nearby, and every one we tried served good quality food. The location is excellent in terms of the island. The airport is only 10 minutes away, and Funchal is about the same. It's a quiet area, but you still have everything within reach — dinner, lunch, coffee, car rental. One thing lets the place down: the Pool Bar really needs to catch up with the rest of the hotel. Service was slow and orders kept getting mixed up. Worse, the food was simply taken from the breakfast buffet — same cheese, same cold cuts. Not good. Overall, nice hotel and amazing Madeira. We loved it.

Hotel was neat, modern, and everything you’d expect from a family friendly pool resort. Rooms were big. Beds were fine. Buffets were decent. The pool was very nice. Good size and I loved how they used salt water instead of chlorine water. The internet/wifi was terrible. Slow, didn’t reach everywhere, and sometimes just didn’t want to connect. We are in 2026 so it should be better. Also, the TV channels hacked a lot. At night before u go to bed it’s nice to watch a little TV before shutting the eye. But the channels kept hacking. So we ended up using our phones and the bad internet connection. That sucked. Otherwise, all in all, I’d say it was a typical 4 star experience.

Just finishing a 10 days holiday in Madeira and this hotel has been very good. The morning and evening meals were tasy, rooms were spacious and the sea view was out of this world. Free parking just ouside of the hotel as well. Poncha & rest of the cocktails at the pool bar are good, but quite expansive. Also, its the first time I have been to a hotel that really had a big and well-equipped gym. The biggest downside is that the hotel is very family oriented, which made our stay a bit less enjoyable (as a couple). It is a perfect hotel for families considering the amount of entertainment provided for kids and the facilities designated for them, however, for couples, we felt that there was not enough entertainment during evenings, and there were too many kids running around at the pool or during meals. The only fun activity for adults was the poncha workshop - kudos to Fabrizio for the experience! This is the main reason for the four star review. If you are a couple, my recommendation is to look for alternatives.

We spent a week at The Views Oasis with our little son, and it was an excellent experience. The hotel is incredibly family-friendly. Our little one absolutely loved the kids' playroom, especially the ball pit. Here are the highlights of our stay: Staff: Extremely attentive, welcoming, and friendly from start to finish. Rooms: Very spacious and large enough to comfortably accommodate a family. Food: Excellent quality with a wide and varied selection at every meal. Note on the property: In a few places, you can notice some signs of age and minor wear and tear. To be clear, it is absolutely not run-down, just slightly showing its age in certain areas. This did not impact our comfort at all. We highly recommend this hotel for families and would definitely come back!
