Really nice hotel and perfect for the fisherman’s trail after a long day of walking. The rooms were spotless and very big. The staff were really friendly and the buggy service down the hill were very helpful.
What a beautiful part of the world! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Salema Beach Village. Our villa was amazing, 2 bedrooms with en-suite downstairs and a kitchen with living room cum dining room upstairs. Everything was spotless and the cleaners were amazing. It was lovely and peaceful and the pool area was very quiet. We often had the pool to ourselves. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The hill to the village is a killer but there is a wee buggy that will run you up and down when you need it. We walked to burn off the calories! There is a lovely beach at the bottom of the hill and around 7 restaurants but there are many others in Luz and Lagos if you have a car although taxis were cheap. Definitely worth a visit if you love a quiet, non built up place to holiday.
We loved our stay here. We had a 3 bedroom villa, with a pool view, and it was huge! 3 bed, 3 bathrooms, huge living/dining area and kitchen, big balcony with loungers and a 6 seater table, as well as a garden terrace and roof terrace. Very clean. The pool is lovely and never any issues getting a sun lounger - nobody reserves them and there are plenty to go around. Staff will give you a lift to and from the beach/village centre any time. Pool bar is lovely and the food is great. Lovely quiet location, but very commutable to other bigger towns and beaches if you have a car. Would highly recommend!
When booking our trip to Portugal, a part of our trip needed to include a beach resort where we could truly rest and relax—and this place definitely delivered. As many other reviewers have noted, the complex is built on a steep hill. However, we were fortunate enough to stay right next to reception, making it incredibly easy to request buggy rides to the beach or exchange our beach towels. The service here is truly excellent. Whenever we needed a ride to the beach or into town, a golf cart was immediately available, and the service runs quite late. Our villa was massive. It seems every unit spans two floors, offering either two or three bedrooms. One fantastic feature was the staircase leading up to a private rooftop patio, which offered superb views. I only have two minor complaints. First, the Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. Second, while the outdoor pool is superb, it closes at 7:00 PM. With the long summer days, it felt like a missed opportunity for a sunset swim. Overall, this is a wonderful hotel complex, and having the beach just a short two-minute drive away was fantastic.
