We had a very good stay overall, especially considering the price we paid. Jardim do Atlântico is located in a beautiful and very peaceful area on the cliffs, with fantastic views of the ocean and the surrounding coastline. One important thing to know: I would strongly recommend renting a car. The hotel is quite remote, and without a car you will be very limited if you actually want to explore Madeira. With a car, however, it works very well as a base for trips around the island, and parking above the hotel was never a problem for us. The hotel itself is a little dated, but it is well maintained and everything was clean. Our room was in the lowest part of the property, which meant around 60–70 steps every time we went for breakfast or dinner. This is worth keeping in mind, especially if you have heavy luggage. Overall, I would describe it more as a very good 3-star hotel than a typical 4-star resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we left early for day trips, they prepared a breakfast box for us, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was simple but perfectly fine, with eggs, bread and the usual basics. The coffee was not great. Dinner was a little more mixed: the desserts were excellent, but I would have preferred more fruit, vegetables and especially more choice of side dishes. On a few evenings there was basically only one side available, which was not ideal with fish or meat. If you stay in a ground-floor room close to the garden, bring mosquito repellent or an electric mosquito plug-in. We had a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings, and a few large insects also found their way into the room. Given the natural surroundings, we did not consider this a major issue, but it is definitely something to be prepared for. I would also recommend bringing a small extension lead, as there were not many power sockets in the room. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, although the outdoor pool was a little cold. Personally, I would not come to Madeira to spend the holiday by the pool anyway – there are so many hikes, levadas and places to explore. Overall, I would recommend Jardim do Atlântico to people looking for peace, beautiful views and good value for money, especially if you have a rental car. It is not a luxury resort, but it was a comfortable and very good base for exploring Madeira.

Amazing location 😍 Rooms are bit older and used, but clean. Food is very good. Parking can be challenging, but second parking place is only 200m away.

Hotel Jardim Atlantico: Great Value, Lovely Stay & Amazing Views in Madeira! We absolutely loved our time at Hotel Jardim Atlantico in Madeira! The location was fantastic, offering beautiful surroundings, and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean, which we really appreciated. It was wonderfully calm, and the views were simply incredible from everywhere. The hotel restaurant was a real highlight – they had so much choice at the buffet, and the food was delicious. What's more, the price was very reasonable, making it incredible value. We also really enjoyed that small music groups came to play in the evenings, adding a lovely touch to our nights. Overall, it's a truly beautiful hotel with an excellent quality-price ratio for Madeira. Highly recommend it!
